Why do you doubt she had a Temple recommend? Do you also think her previous marriages have never been sealed in a Temple before?

There is a process to get a Temple recommend. it is not easy to obtain. Add to this her previous marriages, divorces, etc. Adds to that process. There is also a certain amount of responsibility and commitment involved in keeping this recommend. Because of all of this, many members, if not most, do not have Temple recommends. I doubt Lori has a Temple recommend. IMO.

Relative of missing kids may have information; Reportedly confesses to attempted murder of ex-husband

Please excuse me if this has already been discussed. I spent the day hanging with my Daughter yesterday. MB confesses to attempted murder? Is this new info, or did I miss it?

It's been posted, different source. I got excited, though, and thought this meant she had officially confessed, but the confession is according to her new husband.

It is not intended as a negative reference. It just is what It is.

I do not want to open a rabbit hole with this. I just wanted to simply answers a posters post.

I took no offense at all. I just feel like if I said it to or about someone, it would come out like some weird announcement of something that is totally unnecessary to announce. I hope that makes sense.

I have never heard of anyone saying " I am prompted to offer you a job". I think that sounded like a really dodgy offer of a job.

I would personally be weirded out by that kind of language in a professional setting, too.

You mean seal themselves to each other in an upstairs temple room without anyone else present? Maybe IMO.

The equivalent secular question would be "Are people going into an upstairs room at the courthouse and marrying themselves without anyone else present?" Because that's the only way to go to a courthouse and get "married" without presenting the proper documentation required to get married and having an authorized officiant present to perform the marriage. The same is true at the temple: If you don't have the proper documentation or officiant....it is theoretically possibly (as it is at the courthouse) to have a DIY "sealing" -- something which holds no legal (or eternal) weight.

Blatant lies for sure...
Is anyone else trying to figure out what L and C told CP in that phone call, for him to fall hook, line and sinker...????
:
IF the kids are missing in September but didn't become a big story until End of November--- it is easy to see how stories(lies) had to change during that 6 week period. I am thinking Cand L might have told CP and his parents the following scenario :

Missing Kids makes news.
Parents and friends want to know what's up since they had been told other stories.
(Custody Battle... LV had no kids).
So they build a story. AC has to be the fall-guy rather that the secret accomplice.

AC (as an alien or whatever those bad "outside the circle" people are called) abused and killed the children.and they , L And C had to protect other kids by offing AC.

The timing of Sept deaths/Nov Missing kids news/ and AC's death make all the sense in the world to me...

IF CD talked to his parents around the wedding date (Nov 5, right???), the lies about LV having no children could stick. But when reported missing at the end of Nov (TY Kay), that story is gone. They had to change the story to "they were being hidden, for custody" and "they had to be protected from these evil abuse and influences of AC".....all the way to saying AC killed them.

All these folks who want to stick by Chad-- would probably have no trouble accepting AC had to be offed.

I agree. I don't think it changes anything. All it changes for me is that we have some more indications of what Lori and Chad were telling their inner circle. Do any of these people actually know anything from first hand knowledge/their own observation? Or do they only know what they have been told? Melani might be the one who has more first hand info/involvement but she was still living in AZ the month the kids disappeared and didn't move to Rexburg until Nov 4th (according to the PI who was surveiling her and GPS tracking her from around Oct 13th to Nov).

IMHO the police have released enough to show Lori and Chad as proven liars-- and not just that they told lies to the police (which someone who is anti-police/anti-government might justify in their minds) -- we have seen that Lori and Chad lied to their family and friends about the kids. Chad lied to his own parents and to Tammy's sister-- his sister-in-law for nearly 30 years! How do members of the AVOW forum reconcile Chad's simultaneously claiming this was a "custody issue" while telling his close family members that Lori's kids don't exist or are grown up and away at college? How do they explain the lie from Lori that Tylee died years ago? Is it okay in these circles to claim your child is dead if you are really hiding said child from the "big bad government" or from other relatives that you claim are not true believers or are money hungry? I'm dumbfounded if anyone still has faith in what Lori and/or Chad are telling them to believe. MOO.
Exactly-how strong is this belief system that it exempts you from protecting children; that justifies lying to everyone they chose to be not accountable to? We have discussed before - believe whatever you want. Show proof of life and we all disappear and they can head to family court to fight custody and child support till end times come. It is truly a sign of mental illness to me that Lori will take on the role of perceived martyrdom to keep the Woodcocks from getting custody of JJ. And this argument holds absolutely no ground because it ignores Tylee.

The thing of it is for me, if as you say, that these “believers - level 3” or whatever, think this reactionary bulls*it is appropriate and necessary- who would want to be in a foxhole with them? To quote BB - “people are being killed off like flies”. What if your kids were next? Who the hell knows what vision Chad’s tortured brain is going to spew next. I am sick of their separatist crap. I acknowledge that our rule of law is imperfect, but it has given these people the freedom that has allowed their beliefs to grow. We are not looking to take that away. We are looking for CHILDREN. MOO.

Apologies for ranting.

So yes then? However, surely sealing has to be done by a LDS official doesn't it?

It depends on what the person believes. To me, it doesn't matter who does it, where, or how. To a devout, active mainstream Mormon then I assume they would say if it wasn't one of the designated temple workers and the people being sealed hadn't gone through the proper process getting to that point that it doesn't count. If maybe in Chad and Lori's version of the world it does. MOO

Right, a temple recommend is needed, among other things, to get married in the temple. We don't know Lori's status in that regard. her regular membership is what she got transferred (or asked for it to be, not sure how long the processs takes).
And to get married or sealed in the temple, you need to bring a legal marriage license from your government. You can't just go.

Tylee is young beautiful and blonde, they probably kept her and married her off, does anyone else think this is possible? Why would they have let the dog go and not get rid of him too ?
Lori knew the dog was valuable and was looking for $. Bailey’s trainer saw the ad she posted and intervened to get the dog back.

I saw that too.

Blatant lie is the best possibility.

I think I read what you're referring to and what I thought might have happened is they did something in the building that was their version of a ceremony and no one was involved other than them. In other words, not going through the official Mormon ceremony in any kind of official way, but (assuming both were able to go to the temple at the same time) meeting up somewhere and whispering their own little version of vows or a ceremony in a corner somewhere.

Or, they could have attended a temple together and performed a proxy sealing. Instead of acknowledging the deceased married couple that they are doing the proxy sealing for, they could have just pretended they were getting sealed. A temple sealer would have performed the sealing, so in their minds, their "sealing" would have been legit.

"To extend these blessings to all people, those who are living are also able to perform proxy sealings in behalf of those who have died. In this way, all families may be together forever."

I appreciate this rant.

I was going to go into detail but have decided instead to say THANK YOU.

In my attempting to research Lori... I feel that Lori's first three were not even Mormons... only CV seems to have been willing to change for her. I dunno...I just think LV was a renegade before she was a "devout Mormon". IMO. MOO... of course. And there are obviously people "out there" who could attest to or deny.
