We used to have a poster here by the name of Dick Tracy Orlando. He worked in law enforcement. The defense for the case he was working on found out he was posting here (even though he wasn't even posting informaton about the case iirc, just answering personal questions and thanking people for their well wishes. It became a huge deal (more so for him than us.)

I've been lurking here and trying hard not to post anything. (My work sent out a work-wide email reminding us of needing to be neutral on social media as a warning to stay out of public discussion of this case.). Everyone at work still gossips about it, though, so I figure no harm, no foul to post anonymously here.

After Lori's no-show tonight, do we think its possible that Lori sold/trafficked her kids, and honestly has zero idea where they are or how to get them? Or, alternately, is it possible that Chad and even his kids know where JJ and Tylee are?

Sadly, I don't believe either of them are alive. Lori told people that Tylee had died. You don't tell people that your daughter is dead unless she is dead.

His media empire is ripe for money laundering...or fraud or both, really. I don't believe for a second that he's just some dumb man in love and thus bamboozled.

Also, the search warrant executed on their Hawaii rental home...though the prosecutor states the children didn't go to Hawaii. So they didn't get a warrant for that.

All of this...my opinion only, of course.

Respectfully, I think it's a stretch to call his publishing business a media empire. Tammy still worked outside the home in addition to the work she did with their publishing business. We've seen media coverage of their modest home in Idaho. MOO.

What if Lori truly doesn't know where the kids are - because Tylee packed up JJ and disappeared from Rexburg in the middle of the night? Maybe they headed to AZ or TX (but not to KVW's, knowing they'd be too easily found).

What if Tylee escaped with JJ in order to save herself and her little brother from Lori (and perhaps AC)? What if Tylee had been witnessing Lori's selfish, insane, sociopathic, controlling, criminal behavior her whole life, hated her guts, and finally wanted out? After all, it's been posted that the only reason Tylee went to ID was to protect JJ.

What if Lori was the one with the bat, and CV took it away from Lori, not Tylee? What if Tylee and JJ were in fear for their lives if they didn't back up Lori's and AC's stories and lie to the AZ PD?

I have always wondered whether Lori perhaps took away Tylee's cell phone and JJ's laptop/phone (the device containing the apps that kept him calm) back in July or August, not long after CV's death due to the "justifiable homicide".

If Lori had control of the children's devices since that time, it might explain the similar nature of the Venmo transactions sent using Tylee's device/account in Aug, Sept, and Oct, and the one Lori sent using her own phone back in June. Most importantly, taking the children's devices would prevent Tylee and/or JJ from sending out an SOS.

This theory might also be supported by the fact that when KVW and her husband were in the 35 second FaceTime communication with JJ in August, they said it felt as if JJ was somehow being controlled or monitored. This same theory might be even further supported by the odd response to the text communication attempt made by Tylee's friend (initially no response, followed weeks later by a response the friend thought was inauthentic).

Wouldn't it be great if it turned out the kids have been on the run - and that they are now being kept safe from Lori (and back then, safe from AC as well)? Perhaps they are now being hidden and protected by a friend, or a Ryan relative, or somebody else Tylee knew and trusted. Somebody who knew then (and knows now) that the kids were then (and are now) in jeopardy?

Right, I'm in one end of the island, theres only one main hwy and it doesnt go all the way around, when we left there was a LE guiding us and then he pulled over and stayed there - I tried to upload photos... we tried stopping a couple places to see if people were even talking about it yet and NO. Still no one seems to know about it - crazy. As. It. Gets.

I think she definitely thought he was a much bigger deal than he ended up being in real life, he could have exaggerated all kinds of info about himself when they were meeting up at conventions, and she thought with his help she was well on her way to being a big deal on the wacko circuit. Alas, not so much, and I think a day of reckoning will come when they realize just how duped they both were.

Except once the story blew up, all they would have to have done is walk into any police station and say, "Here we are, help us, our mother is crazy." If they show up anywhere now on their own, do we really believe Lori would get custody?

So true, but we know she is nuts and maybe has no feeling in that regard. Her husband was shot and she threw a party, and brother dies (her biggest defender) and as far as we know she laid on the beach.

No. Tylee was 17. She would drive herself from Texas to Arizona. JJ was autistic, but hyper. I just don't see it as realistic.

Too soon. We just have to be patient.

And the more I think about it, that’s why the prosecutor’s office released that statement. It said “we’ve done stuff” (child protection action in past tense) and we will be doing more, but we can’t explain it right now, due to laws about the privacy of minors.
