It turns out that Tammy's autopsy results are NOT back yet:

There has been much speculation as to why police chose now to move in on Daybell and Vallow. Fremont County Sheriff Len Humphries confirmed to the Post Register that the timing had nothing to do with Tammy Daybell’s autopsy results. Authorities have not yet gotten the autopsy report back, said Humphries. While it was previously reported by some media outlets that Tammy’s family had been privately told the autopsy results, Humphries confirmed there are no results available to tell anyone, family or otherwise.

Over the weekend the couple was approached twice by law enforcement. On Saturday, they were served a court order demanding that Lori Vallow "physically produce Tylee and J.J. to the Idaho Department of Welfare in Rexburg, Idaho, or to the Rexburg Police within five days of being served with the order."

They were approached again Sunday in a parking lot of the Kauai Beach Resort. Robert Minicola, general manager of the resort, confirmed to the Post Register that Daybell and Vallow had stayed there earlier this month. According to Minicola, the pair stayed there previously approximately three weeks ago for one to two days.

“I’ve been working with detectives for several weeks,” Minicola said.

The couple recently booked another stay at Kauai Beach Resort for Sunday, according to Minicola. On Sunday, authorities were lying in wait for Daybell and Vallow near the resort. While Minicola confirmed that he has been working police for several weeks, he said he could not say whether he was the one who tipped police off that they would be staying there again that day.

The couple are not staying at the Kauai Beach Resort at this time, according to Minicola.

I wonder if they are using false names for their rentals and bookings.

Ha! Can you imagine Lori and Chad contacting family after reading that family had been told, and they said no, we haven't been told.

hehehehe Chad and Lori were paranoid at that I would expect. Not knowing who to trust anymore.

When did grandparents get the ball rolling on the effort to have Lori produce JJ and Tylee in Idaho?
Did it just "happen" to coincide with Tammy's autopsy results?
IIRC they had been trying to facetime with JJ after Charles killing, and they did only once, Aug or Sept I believe, and it was not only monitored but "scripted". The refusal by Lori to let them contact JJ after that is probably the beginning of the missing kids case, when after being refused so long, and nearing Thanksgiving (and Christmas, need to get his wish list) they likely called LEA for the welfare check that kicked the missing kids case off.

Were they meeting someone? Jmo

I'm getting the vibe that maybe some of these agencies aren't talking to each other. Or that there's so much going on that they can't keep track of it all.

I think the reporter may have gotten a bad source of info and it's really not back yet. In retrospect, it doesn't make any sense to me that they would tell Tammy's family the autopsy results that far in advance of us hearing the results were back. LE didn't even tell Tammy's family when they were exhuming her body. Why would they suddenly give them the courtesy of knowing the findings several days before everyone else? LE wouldn't risk that someone from Tammy's family would leak the info to Chad and Lori. MOO.

I totally agree, I feel like LE wants to test them, learn the level of loyalty to each other etc. I also think they are concerned about the kids and don’t want to move to quick where it could affect the kid’s safety.

I agree. LE waited to arrest Scott Peterson until it looked like he was going to Mexico.

So when they were not staying at the Kauai Beach Resort, where were they? And where are they staying now?

They were on vacation from their vacation?

Right. That part I understood. It was the court order I was talking about. But, none of my questions matter now.

@Gardener1850 - More for your timeline. I think they've been hopping back and forth between rentals. Plenty to choose from on VBRO

Maybe Lori had a friend there who helped with rentals and such. Just a thought.

Again, small town, likely not used to investigating major crimes, no obvious sings of foul play. Just assumed natural causes-and they didn't even or tried to guess which one.
Actually somewhat similar situation to Joseph Ryan. Guy was a tiny bit overweight and had elevated blood pressure and cholesterol for which he was taking meds.
Found dead, they just did an external examination and assumed he died due to atherosclerotic disease.

Good point. And we need to remember this was the Fremont County Sheriff's Office. Just to give some perspective here, Rexburg is (in my mind) very much small town, and it's population is in the 25-26,000 range with 36-37,000 in all of Madison County. But Fremont County to the north is just a little more than 13,000 total population and my guess from eyeballing a map rather than looking it up is that Fremont County also is about 3 times as much land area, so a lot of ground to cover for the FCSO although a lot of that is national forest, so not much in the way of population in much of it.

Do we have these details yet??

Sunday's joint statement from the Rexburg police and the Madison County Prosecutors Office contained more details. According to the statement, “a child protection action has been filed on behalf of Tylee Ryan and J.J. Vallow.” Though such actions involving the protection of minors are normally confidential, the Madison County Prosecutor's Office has been given permission by the court to “unseal and disclose” both the action’s existence and several details concerning the action.

“I doubt that they’ve been there this entire time. I think that they’re hidden somewhere and I hope they’re with someone that’s not harming them,” said Kay Woodcock.

Exactly two months after Rexburg Police confront Lori Vallow and Chad Daybell in Idaho for a welfare check, this time Kauai Police serves her with a court order to show officials her missing children are safe.
