Patrick Beavers, disappeared sometime on the evening of approximately April 3, 1997 or the morning of April 4, 1997 and has not been seen or heard from since. He left a note intended to be his Last Will which prompted an extensive search of the surrounding area and the Canyon by volunteers and law enforcement to no avail. .. If memory serves correctly, it was snowing at that time and he appeared to have left late at night and without his winter coat, extra clothing or any other winter apparel. He did not drive and would have been on foot. He was believed to have been drinking that evening so may have smelled of alcohol. Patrick is or would be 39 years old at this time. He was almost 25 at the time of his disappearance. Patrick could be thinner now, but is most likely heavier. My mother and I disagree on his height as she claims he is 5'10" and I think he was closer to 6'. His mother is blind and is unsure of what he may of been wearing at the time he disappeared. Therefore, he is about 5'10" to 6'1" tall and weighed between 200 and 250 Lbs at the time of his disappearance. He has hazel eyes, dark brown hair and a receding hairline. He also has appendix/surgical scars on his abdomen. He had frequently talked about police stopping him at the Perrine Bridge thinking he may be a jumper, which seemed odd and out of context at the time. The Perrine Bridge is approximately 10 miles from the place of his disappearance. Patrick purchased clothing in a different styles than he normally wore in the months preceeding his disappearance but left many of those behind. He also spoke about trying to locate his father in the weeks preceding his disappearance. Patrick thought that his father may have still resided in Austin Texas. His father has not heard from him since his disappearance. Photographs of Patrick with and without a beard are available on the Idaho Missing Persons Clearinghouse under disabilty. They are also available on the Doe Network Case File 1819DMID. I have also opened a Classmates page with photos and the newspaper article regarding his disappearance in the hopes one of his old classmates may remember him and possibly have been in contact with him since his disappearance. If Patrick made it to Texas he would have been hitchhiking and camping out. He loved to walk and hike and he usually carried a type of swiss army knife and pepper spray with him. Patrick is also a huge Steelers fan and liked to lift weights. Patrick was born in Louisiana, but left there before the age of five. The family relocated to San Jose, California until he was around nine or ten. He resided in Milpitas, California from that time until approximately one year prior to his disappearance. He was employed at the 711 on Park Victoria in Milpitas, California for several years prior to his move to Idaho. He was also employed at the Cactus Petes Casino in Jackpot, Nevada after his move to Idaho. If you have any information please contact the family and/or the authorities handling his case. Jerome Idaho Police Department are handling this case.

I found Patrick Beavers because I have been looking at the infamous Lyle Stevik and how he placed Idaho as his supposed last address. I found Patrick and thought he resembled Lyle a lot and even had left a note when he left the house.. which is something that Lyle did.. I am sure it has been checked out but I thought I should mention it especially since they did the Isotope recently.

They said he was ruled out by dna but the only dna profile they have for my brother is off of my mothers, his father, his half brother and my dna profiles which may not yield an exact match when combined too many variants especially because it turns out that his father and half brother are my distant cousins as well.

For all interested, there is an excellent podcast about Patrick Jason Beavers on the UnFound podcast that was just released today, 11/3/2017. The host of UnFound, Ed Dentzel, spends about an hour and 15 minutes doing a very thorough interview with Patrick's sister, Sheila Van Zant-Lewis. I believe Sheila is "Starstruck106" who has been posting periodic updates about her brother on Websleuths for years. I feel so sorry for Sheila and her family. I can't begin to imagine this family's heartbreak for over 20 years now. :heartbeat:
