The case in Chicago and this case are so horrific to me. My feeling is that the Chicago perps will be held accountable while the Idaho perps won't be. I would love all the perps to go away for years and years and years. I am just sick over the way people are behaving and the lack of consequences or uneven consequences.
ITA. This case is no different than the one in Chi. These perps need to be held to the same standard of accountability. Justice in the two cases is so lopsided.

I had remembered some questions about the young disabled girl being raped. Snopes has done a good job vetting out facts versus falsehoods. Unfortunatley, no updates due to the ages of the victims/alleged perpetrators, although they have vetted no rape occurred, no knife was used, and parents were inappropriately supporting the alleged perpetrators.

I no longer rely on Snopes as being 100% truthful since they have been exposed for getting certain things wrong.

The Prosecutor did acknowledge the incident did happen and they were ME but not from Syria.

Its still an horrible event even if she was molested and not raped by the three boys and I read they urinated on her as well. That is sickening if true.

Incorrect--the five year old special needs girl was sexually assaulted--it is on video and two juveniles have been charged.

Even the Prosecutor said even though she wasn't raped contact of a sensitive nature allegedly occurred

Of course, we will never know what happened to this little girl. I think it is important to note that regardless of race, the survivors of attacks deserve better the perps getting a slap on the wrist. There is a disparity in how the two similar cases will be adjudicated despite similarities of racial comments, holding a person against their will to abuse them physically, and the national response. Could this be an Idaho issue? Yes, possibly. For those who have read my posts before, it is common knowledge that I always go for maximum penalties and survivor rights/support. And, I am just sad that the raped young man in this title case has not received justice or support. I have to wonder if race or disability played a part in that. I would never want the Chicago perpetrators to get off with any less responsibility. That said, I believe they will be judged far more harshly than the football players in Idaho which is a damn shame in my book.
