WIC is the federal program that gave this momster free milk, cereal, eggs, peanut butter, cheese, and many more food products that has possibly keeping these babies alive, but more than likely has gone into that witch of a momster and grand momster's pie holes!!

I just want to smack the carp out of both of them!! SCRAPE MARKS ON THE WALL WHERE THE GIRLS TRIED TO CLAW THEIR WAY OUT!!

I will take them both, give them whatever therapy they need - hold them 24/7 and feed their little souls with more love than they will know what to do with...

There is no reason that is good enough that this beotch and grand beotch treated these babies this way - she could have given them away! No one is forced to keep children they don't want, tons of people would have offered..

Tony you have our undying gratitude! You probably saved two little lives!

Please, don't hold back! Tell us how you really feel.

Echoed by all of us I think.

Grandmonster, poor woman, couldn't get her widdle one-day furlough, poor wicked soul.

Knew the prosecutor wasn't stupid. Tried for $100,000 bond. But still, $25,000 should keep her locked up until trial. Would love to know about all her past criminal history. Kootenai court records still not back up online, but I have to presume a lot of this was in Cal. Don't know she's been up here long enough to get into more trouble beyond heinous lack of any care for "her" grandbabies (grrrrrrrrrrrrr!).

I bet she's far more concerned about where her cats and dogs wind up. Nice to see animal control came back and got those out of there.

http://www.kxly.com/news/26069731/detail.html

Oh yes. She wanted a day off to return overdue (read: STOLEN) library books. To quote Bill Cosby... "Riiiiiiiiiiiight!"

http://www.krem.com/news/crime/Grandmother-Asks-for-mercy-to-take-care-of-her-animals-111561784.html

Let them both loose in the general populace and turn a blind eye. Some of us would be happy to administer a little N Idaho justice.

A comment on one of the articles said their photo was being forwarded to the prison where these two will hopefully spend some quality time in the near future. (I WISH!!)

I am so appalled by these cases - I can't even think straight! I actually left and gave some love to a couple of jerks at WIKI where I supervise - just to do something!! KWIM?

This IMO is a case of torture - physical and emotional abuse - but why? why not just hand them over to an adoption agency the day momster decided she no longer felt like playing mommy to two baby girls? She could have gotten herself a stuffed animal or a Pet Rock or something similar to lock in the room.

You know what else? If momster was abused or neglected by grandmomster - I no longer have an ounce of sympathy for her - see I remembered what the verbal attacks felt like, I remembered what a shoe (or whatever was handy) to the face felt like - I am far from perfect and NEVER claimed not to make any mistakes - but I promised my kids on the day they were born, that I would never do to them what I hated about what was done to me!! And I somehow managed to pull it off. If I can do that and sooo many others can do that, some who were horrifically abused - why did these beotchs do this to these babies???? :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious:

Not to mention - momster seems to have a pretty good command of the language - which means she wasn't locked in a room where no one ever talked to her!

I think we should give these two a Pet Rock collection up side their heads just for 5hit's and 6iggles!!

OK off to read your LINKS!!

Officers found the twins covered in bruises and neglected. They took them into protective custody. But not once did Cassidy ever ask about the twin girls.

Police were called to the apartment eight times before the decision to remove the children. The complaints include crying and sometimes screaming children out of a third story apartment. The first time police were called was November of last year. Officers reported everything looked fine.

"There were clothed, fed, the house probably wasn't as clean as most people would like. But we see a lot of dirty houses," said Wood. It was almost three months from the final welfare check in September to when police removed the girls.

Sergeant Christie Wood says the law requires there be imminent danger to a child to take them from a home. Police say they didn't find severe conditions the next six times they were called for a welfare check. Officers say in each of these visits, the girls were o.k. Sergeant Wood says the situation deteriorated quickly. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Well somebody in the ID Judiciary got the message. No ETA, but they are at least aware of the problem now. Thank you to whoever is working on the problem. Inquiring minds want at the records!

"Welcome!
This website is available to the public to provide information on the status of trial court cases in the state of Idaho.

Attention! Kootenai County is currently unavailable. We are working to resolve this issue as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience."

Nice locals have set up a fund for the girls with a local bank. They will turn 2 years old on Dec 14, and I hope they get showered with much needed affection and the understanding they are now safe and not going back to that HE double L hole.

Given neither woman was employed, I wonder if her sick plan was to "ease themselves of the financial burden" by leaving the girls locked in that room until they starved to death and then dump their bodies. Seriously, nothing about them would surprise me. Shoot, being able to pay for cable TV instead of suffer with 4 or 5 over-the-air channels would seem to be more important to grandmonster than those precious little girls.

Whatever going on there, some serious disconnect from reality and humanity both.

I stumbled across "Lost" ads from somebody who lives in that complex who had a cat go missing in late Sept. Convinced somebody else there took her cat. Any reason NOT to believe Mrs. "I gotta take care of my cats" wouldn't stoop to stealing one? Heck, they had seven of them.

If she didn't get her cat back, I hope she has thought to now check with the Humane Society since they removed all the animals to their care. Must go check grandmonster's myspace page again to see if any of the cat photos there match this description.

ETA: photo 8 of 13 has an all gray cat. Can't see eyes or tail however.

One more link. Brand new story just went up. LOTS of history on both women and info from her next door neighbor and Elisabeth's ex-BF. Thank you CDA Press for some investigative reporting.

Anyone else note under the MS photo of mom and grandma that it says "mother daughter REUNION". I wonder if grandma didn't raise her daughter for some (cough) reason ??

Crossley was a southern California "beach bum" before moving up here a couple years ago. She spent time in California living on the streets, and beaches, panhandling for money to live. She said Crossley moved to North Idaho to escape her husband, the twins' father, Scott Crossley, who is believed to still be living in California.

Two more "back" stories on this wonderful (cough) pair.

One the pre-quel by same writer for CDA Press as in above two posts. There is SO much info in here, hard to even know what to choose to snip.

"The girls’ grandmother, Ruth K. Cassidy, who also lived in the apartment, told police the girls had been without a bed for six months to a year. An arrest warrant has been issued for Cassidy.

Crossley was unemployed when she was arrested, and had been living off $450 a month in food stamps. Her mom and the two kids were the only people living with her.

She filed from divorce in August from the girls’ father, Scott L. Crossley, claiming he was abusive, used multiple drugs, wasn’t responsible and was unable to provide for the girls’ needs, according to documents filed in Kootenai County court.

The couple were married in December 2002 in San Diego. In the divorce documents, she said he lives in California.

The documents said she was working at Center Partners making $9.50 an hour before she quit to work on acquiring new skills to work with computers.
The mother told police she had not cleaned the carpets in the room because it was too cold outside to open the window. She had a carpet steam cleaner in the apartment. Also, the stay-at-home mom said the girls make a mess on their bedroom walls with the fecal matter faster than she can clean it off....

The officers also noticed the girls had poorly developed language skills for their age, hardly talking or making noises while in their presence.

Nurses at Kootenai Medical Center, who examined the girls, located areas on the backs of both girls’ heads where hair was burnt or rubbed off. One girl’s hairless spot on her head was swollen outward into a lump about three-quarters of an inch high, and was oozing pus, a report said."

and a more upbeat story on Tony and his girlfriend who are the heros of the day in this.

Kudos to the writer. Best stuff I've seen out of this paper in a long time. Thank you DC for going after this stuff and I hope you stay with it.

"Anthony Brown and Brandy Conklin say it was their own 2-year-old son, Raymond, that provided the spark of inspiration to spring them into action.

The sight of a stranger's two little children naked, dirty, lying face down with no bed, blankets and no way out of their filthy fecal-smeared room was extremely disturbing to Brown, 26, of Coeur d'Alene.

He could see sofa cushions positioned against the door to their bedroom, muffling any taps on it for help."

The officer asked Cassidy the names of the children. Cassidy was unable to identify the girls and mixed up their identities. She was ultimately able to tell them apart by lifting up their shirts to differentiate between their injuries.

I am so so glad someone stepped in. These 2 <modsnip> should get LWOP for the damage they have done.

And, boy, I just can't help but think of the Groene case whenever I see COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho.

Hugs,

Mel

Whatever happened to mother love. Twins, no less - should have been considered a blessing. The mother and grandma need to be treated with the contempt they deserve. They expect to be treated as humans with rights to demand fair and humane treatment. Why? They are cruel compassion-less creatures.

I think every person who walked by that window, looked in and did nothing should be held liable also.

I wonder about "living off 450 a month in food stamps". Food stamps don't pay rent. Unless you sell them, which is likely what the "mother" was doing. Makes me wonder how malnourished the girls were.
And her whole routine of not being able to wipe the crap off the walls as fast as the girls put it up there is ridiculous. First of all, if you keep an eye on kids, they don't do that feces painting thing that often. (I know, I've gone through the "painting with poop" stage three times now.) And when you consider that if you change them instead of leaving them naked on the floor, that becomes a non-issue, for the most part...
I know it's a little naive of me, but I can't help but be shocked stupid by some of the ridiculous excuses these "parents" come up with to explain the fact that they didn't give a flying fart about their kids.
And I won't even comment on the irony of her statements on the divorce papers, regarding the girls father.

Opinion poll here regarding what should happen to these two women.

Please weigh in. Frightens me that 5% would either show mercy or don't know. No more evil-doers on the planet than those who would harm the defenseless, especially children in their most formative years.

I wouldn't normally attempt to solicit hits for their site, but DC (byline on most all CDA press stories on this case) has done such an exceptional job of investigative reporting, and I'm dearly hoping they let him do a follow up on how the girls are doing. I realize they can't use names, but certainly to know they are being loved and cared for and how they progress mentally would be info more folks than just locals would care about.

One of those links has someone describing the mother as a chain smoker and computer gamer..........

Wonder how she could afford to chain smoke while she was living off of tax payers, with no job.

One would think that she would have time to get up off of her fat butt and bathe her children in between looking for a job.

Wonder how she could afford the computer and online fees...........oh I forgot.........we all pay for that!

As of right now the poll is 94% throw the book at them, with 2% show them mercy, 3% don't know.

Who are these people who would over-look the torture of two babies, who were apparently being left to die in that filthy room?

I don't know that we can even assume that much about this [questionable example of humanity]. Who knows what shape her animals were in?

ughhh, I really hope the book is thrown at both of them and that it leaves a very big mark on each of their foreheads.

BBM - ITA

In her (gag - cough) defense, when explaining why she needed a 24 hour pass, aside from library books, she had "animals" to care for - yet she never said a word about the twins.

Not to suggest she actually took care of them as a normal person would, but she thinks more about them - than her precious GBabies. :furious:

"questionable example of humanity" is being too generous - seems to fit.
