The murder trial for Alfredo Martin Martinez, accused of killing his girlfriend, Selena Thomas, and burying her body in a corn field south of Melba has been pushed back to June to allow defense attorneys additional time to review evidence in the case.

Martinez, 38, of Nampa, was scheduled to go to trial in February. Defense attorney Kimberly Simmons told 3rd District Judge Molly Huskey on Monday that she recently received a large amount of discovery information from prosecutors and needs time to go through it.
