My guess is, he's already thought about it, because he's creepy that way, and figures if he's found harmed in his cell (but magically lives, like all the good movie actors do) then he can immediately claim racism, or homophobia or some such terrible crime. I bet the whole script is already written.
He will probably enlist help in jail, setting up another hate crime hoax. This time. the Aryan Brotherhood will put a noose around him in jail. But since there are no ropes available, it will be made with snack cake wrappers and braided toilet paper.

What a doofus. Why would people target him for "suicide?" Does he have information about other hate crime fakers he's ready to spill????
So freaking hilarious. A little black book of hoaxers.

It was so satisfying hearing Jussie get roasted by the judge for an hour, wasn’t it? I feel like I just finished a delicious dinner.

A commentary on Fox News made an interesting point...that all of the groups and people who sent letters of support and requests for leniency, such as Reverend Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, NAACP, all gave credibility to a liar, and sold out their integrity. That is pretty powerful.
And how ironic is it that Rev Al Sharpton is being set forth as a judge of anyone's character or integrity...

Yes, it was very puzzling to me, that this case would be one that the BLM, Jessie Jackson, and others would hang their hats on. Jussie was clearly found guilty- by a jury, and many many Black and LGBTQ members found Smollett's behavior abhorrent if not laughable. It's embarrassing. Way to take a few steps back 'for the movement'..

Honestly, I was sort of surprised that he was sentenced to do any time. That scathing speech Judge Linn gave was a powerful sentence..in and of itself. I really thought he would just get probation, but am so pleased with what was handed down. Justice!

Here is the whole 5 hours, for those , like me, who missed most of it.

Kind of glad I missed the early few hours, so my blood pressure didn't spike.

I am going to drink some wine and watch some of the defense whining, but just for fun, now that I know he is in a jail cell tonight. I wonder how his Bologna sandwich was?

Legitimate question I have. How can society deal with these pathological, narcissistic liars who commit crimes that affect the progress we have made in many areas to stop crimes against race, gender and sexuality. And crimes and hoaxes for the hoaxster's own sadistic pleasure too since it does not do any good for those that are really affected by true crimes against them.

The Judge made some very good points. Do you want society to reform and address legitimate concerns or do you want to use that to set progress back to what you think is to your very own favor and not for the good of those you claim to represent.

This whole saga makes me sad for those who are the true victims due to race, gender or sexual preference. So I would have to think Jussie has been a fake human being for a very long time and if he truly cared about social justice he would never have perpetuated this hoax. In the end its all about them...the narcissists that is.

First off a sincere thanks you to all the great regular posters here who kept this thread alive, I've followed but never posted here. I learned so much from you all.

@katydid23 I started wine a few hours ago, this judge's wise words, well I can say, it just gets better and better, as they sink in and you can process everything he said. He didn't say them for the sake of malice or just to put Jussie down, it was words of wisdom, sorry they may hurt you but LEARN. I started with the live feed EARLY today and that was really something, I thought it would be a 10 or 20 minute session (for lack of a better word) and he'd be sentenced.. I was shocked how it dragged on and on and got more ludicrous as the time passed. BUT I learned more today about the system. I couldn't be more impressed with the words and the fairness of the judge. He did a fabulous and fair job, with a very difficult case IMO.

Did he get bologna? I heard he sent someone to Subway...:) oooh but we know how that can end up...
