Looks like he will be sentenced June 1st in NV and sent to prison ahead of the trial in Illinois. I'm assuming he will be extradited for the trial but it doesn't state anything specifically. Says he is facing 25 to life in NV.
 
Yes, it said his trial that was set to begin for NV is no more and looks like they are going directly to sentencing in June. Not sure when the IL court date will be though...

Looks like there is no sentencing on 6/1.... don't "what" kind of Negotiations are going on. Not getting any updated articles when I google (over here) - maybe someone in U.S. can find something on what is going on with thise case?

Not understanding that he is NOT in custody??!!! He has the warrant out of IL for 1st degree murder!

Man sentenced in Las Vegas child sex case faces murder charge

A 37-year-old man was ordered to prison Monday on child sex charges in Las Vegas, while he faces a murder charge in the death of his daughter in Illinois.

Jason Quate was ordered to serve 28 years to life in prison for sexual assault of a minor and lewdness with a child. He pleaded guilty in March after striking a deal with prosecutors.

So - if anyone knows - does that mean he will spend 28 years in prison before they take him to Illinois to face the murder charges? or will they ship him out now?

Now I guess he will serve his 28 years to life in a Nevada prison & then get shipped to Illinois to face the murder charges.
