This is so sad. Could it be they're not saying anything because of what they do know? Did she have a computer in her room? If so, I'm sure they've examined it. Could that have revealed any leads or ideas of what she may have been up to? Who did she last speak to on her cell the morning of October 14? Did Toni have classes scheduled for Friday which would lead one to believe she didn't try to leave campus early to go home to Plainfield for instance. Is the key that was found the old one or the replacement key? If it's the new one, did she drop it on purpose if she had been surprised or captured by someone? Have the investigators interviewed other people who were in the park mid day on Thursday - did anyone see Toni or anybody else around at that time?
What did Toni's roommate think when she didn't return to the dorm to sleep on Thursday night? Had that ever happened before (because she stayed with a boy or something) or was this the first time? If it happened before, did they talk to that person? What I mean is, if she met a boy earlier in the day, does anyone know who that might have been? If one of the roommates were to stay out all night what was the agreement for communication about that to the other roommate? In other words, could Toni's friends possibly know more about who she might have been with but are or were too timid to bring that up right away because it may be a fellow classmate?
What did the dorm mates usually do on Thursday nights and why wasn't anybody concerned when Toni wasn't back on Friday morning? I'm not trying to blame anyone, just trying to understand if there had been a norm established since school started. No one reported Toni missing until the afternoon of Friday - where did someone think she might be until then?
Is her cell phone in the dorm room or as far as they know did she take it with her? Did she always take it with her? Was she known to turn it off besides when she was in class? Who did she last call/talk too?
Had she ever left campus in someone's car before for some purpose that she discussed with others? If so, why and with whom?
When was her next class scheduled for? If no classes Friday, why not go home on Thursday? What was her first class on Friday and her last class on Friday supposed to be? Did she have plans with anybody on Thursday night that she didn't show up for? Who would she usually eat dinner with?
I can't get this out of my mind - a young lady vanishes without a trace.
