So kids are in bed and I am back to studying and searching for this guy. I’ve been considering something for a bit and would love feedback. So the 87 by the Aries symbol was always assumed to be maybe a DOB. That didn’t sit right with me because none of his tattoos seem to have a clear message. It’s lots of tiny details that alude to parts of him. So I started looking at what 87 could be in jail. There wasn’t a clear answer however most of the time numbers represent a letter in the alphabet. So GH? I could be wrong. Especially with it being so close to the Astrological sign.

I have been trying to come up with other things the number could be besides a DOB. The only other thing I thought of that could make sense is perhaps the Ram is not related to the Aries symbol but is something else like a nickname he had or a high school mascot. Interestingly I found that Garfield HS in Akron, OH has a mascot of "Golden Rams": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garfield_High_School_(Akron,_Ohio)
Could 87 be his jersey number from a sport he played in high school? Maybe we should look for Alumni groups from Garfield HS and see if anyone recognizes the sketch? IDK.

is there an 87th street in that area?

Do you mean where he was found in Cook County, IL or where we think he was from in Ohio? I found 87th streets in both Chicago and Cleveland. He did seem to like to put numbers related to places in his tats (Akron and Cleveland phone area codes in the other ones).

Hm, that sounds like a promising line of research.

the tattoos seem to indicate Ohio. I wasn't sure Cleveland or Cincinatti though.

I think the tattoos definitely refer to Cleveland or Akron, OH. One tattoo says "Cleveland 216" and the "Rubber City Boy 330" seems to refer to Akron which is known as the Rubber City because a history of rubber factories in the area. Lots of Akron businesses are named "Rubber City _____" and there are a few bands from Akron that use Rubber City in their name as well. Anyway, Cleveland has an 87th street. This got me to looking up some more Cleveland info and I found that the Los Angeles Rams were formerly established in Cleveland: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_Cleveland_Rams However, it was in the 1940's and probably before the UID's time. The NFL, if it refers to football along with the Cleveland and ram tattoos may all be coincidence or they may point to him having some football connection. Hmmm....

maybe flyers around the 87th street area if this seems even remotely plausible?

Another Rams team that I know of is the Fordham Rams. They're in NYC, but they're a Catholic university, interesting in light of his religious ink.

216 is the telephone area code for Cleveland. The Rubber City is Akron and 330 is the Akron area code. It's immediately adjacent to Cleveland. He might or might not be connected to Ohio State. People in the area root for the Buckeyes the same as they would a pro team. But I'd be astonishment if he's not a local.

The religious ink seems more Catholic to me.

I’m trying to think of asian nationalities with lots of Catholics. Pilipino and Vietnamese come to mind. The UID doesn’t look at all Philipino to me, though. Vietnamese seems like a good possibility.

Yeah, though there are Catholics of any nationality. Mr. Carbuff used to work with a woman who was a Japanese Catholic.

I know north Vietnam has a large population of Catholics. However again I was raised catholic and I don’t see catholic in this. Catholics usually refer more to the Virgin mother, the holy trinity etc. He could easily be of mixed descent and take a Christian faith from either one of his parents. Also idk how they ruled out Hispanic as a possibility because the Christian religions are much more pronounced in that.

Also Christ’s Disciple. That is nothing I have ever heard within my 34 years in the Catholic Church.

I don't understand why Gary Warner was even considered. He disappeared in 2011, white male, with long hair.

He is also way above the estimated age at 56 and he fell into a creek in Mansfield, OH where it is thought he drowned: https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/20467/291

His profile DOES list some tattoos but does not detail them, so perhaps he had some similar tattoos to the UID? That's all I can think of....

Yeah, but Protestants simply don't use half naked angels. Unless the sketch is exaggerating the angel's appearance. That style of cross isn't common, either.

I'm Lutheran from the upper midwest.

I haven't had a chance to look at the tat's closely. Gang in Chicago is/was called the Latin Disciples, the Christ's Disciples may refer to them.

ETA: There was also the Black Gangster Disciples.

I'll do some digging~~as I don't know where any of them are located. IE: general vicinity of where the gang is/was located.

From my recollection~~87th Street was/is a middle class area of mostly AA people. I once worked with a friend (along time ago) catering a Christmas party down on 87th Street.

I did see that there is a disciples set of folk. Again the Star of David also points to Folk as well.
