I think that he wore a vest as a matter of habit, whether or not it was required. I can't prove it tho. LOL. That's why I asked a longtime ago if vest IS a policy in his PD, or optional. TYJMO

I think in the past month or more, most officers are routinely wearing their vests while out in the field.

I know for certain that the late start was not the schedule for that day. I posted earlier in the thread that the timing of that day's high school start would have meant that any students would have been arriving late that day. Not out of the question, but....

Thank you. I remembered that you had mentioned they were already in class at the time of the shooting but I was unaware of the late start time. I had thought the late start time was a staggered start time where some students started later than others on the same day. I see I was wrong and there is a day or days all students start at 9:40 as opposed to 7:40.

Marking my spot.
Just caught up reading the posts - a collective thanks to all.

From what I understand, the Fox Lake PD has been undergoing an internal investigation since the winter. Maybe the officer knew something and someone wanted to shut him up.

Down in the scanner thread, the conversations from that morning have been replayed and transcribed into text. It is on the last page, transcribed by Trigger.<modsnip> I've also updated the map to help try and pinpoint a couple of locations that were called in that morning.

If nothing else, it spells out an accurate timeline and chain of events. Special thanks to Trigger for taking the time.

I would think at this time that the DNA that was collected and sent for analysis is not hitting on a known source in the system. Someone new to crime. jmo idk

Take note of a car reported going at a high rate of speed at 8:06 a.m., 12 minutes before Gliniewicz was even found. Thanks for the link to the scanner thread steelman. When I clicked on the link it brought me to page 389, but what showed there was stuff from June. But I was able to find Trigger's transcription at the very end of the thread, on page 518-519 for me. Very interesting. <modsnip>

Scanner information must remain in the scanner forum

I'm going to close this thread for a few minutes and open a new one. Will be back shortly with the link.

Thanks.
