Thanks, I had forgotten some of the details of Malik's case. The one difference that stands out, imo, there were 6 to 8 other children playing with Semaj when she went missing. IIRC, wasn't Malik twin sister the only other child there when Malik went missing. I'd like to think there were too many other kids there to get them to all agree on a cover up story.

Admittedly, I was completely fooled in Malik case and really believed his dad wasn't involved. HIawayi Robinson was another case
 
I am feeling so sad thinking about this cute little one tonight. :(

The search for 16-month-old Semaj Crosby, who went missing from her front yard in southwest suburban Joliet Township, has been suspended for the night due to weather, police said. The Will County Sheriff's Office will continue to work through the night on leads and tips, police said. Crosby has not yet been located

There is no way IMO that she wandered off anywhere. She is only 16 months old, and the family stated that she just recently started walking and is unsteady on her feet.

I know, right? She can "barely walk" so she couldn't get far if she actually did "walk" off on her own. Sigh. I hate these cases. Ugh.

“On Wednesday 4/26/17 at approximately 11:00PM, the Will County Sheriff’s Office along with the FBI gained consent to search the residence of 309 Louis Rd. Joliet with the assistance of the attorney the family had obtained. At approximately 12:00AM the deceased body of Semaj Crosby was located inside the residence.

At the time of this release, the Will County Coroner’s office has pronounced Semaj Crosby deceased and an autopsy will be scheduled for later today to determine the cause of death.

The investigation is still ongoing.

There will be a press conference scheduled for later this morning.”

HEARTBREAKING UPDATE:
After a frantic 30 hour search, investigators say the body of 16-month-old Semaj Crosby has been found inside a home in southwest suburban Joliet Township. The Will County Sheriff's Office along with the FBI gained consent to search a home in the 300 block of Louis Road and approximately at midnight, they found Semaj's body. An autopsy will be conducted later this morning. No word of a suspect in custody. ABC 7 is LIVE on this breaking story.

So if DCFS were at the home 3 hours before Semaj was reported missing that must mean she was seen alive and well. If family searched for 2 hours before reporting her missing that should mean she was seen by DCFS approx 1 hour before? 3pm? If family members are telling the truth.

WTH happened?

Crime tape up at the home where Semaj Crosby was found dead. Officials not saying it’s the family’s, but I saw family walk in/out yesterday

Noooo! I was so hoping she would be found alive. I thought one of the kids may have taken her home with them. Even though she couldn't walk very well, she could probably crawl, and some crawlers are very quick.

So... this poor baby was never missing to begin with. Ugh, I hate cases like this.
