Found deceased in her own home and the authorities gained consent to search the family home at 11 pm last night. Those aren't large homes, how does one miss a child in their own home that is probably about one thousand square feet? And why did it take until 11 pm last night for the authorities to gain consent to search the home?

Eagerly awaiting the presser. I hope they reveal how it was she was missed in the home for more than 24 hours.
 
The Department of Children and Family Services had been at the home on 309 Louis Road at approximately 3:20pm on Tuesday, just one hour before the toddler went missing and had seen all three of Sheri Gordon’s children including Semaj. There were no obvious sign of hazards or safety concerns at that time according to DCFS spokeswoman.

I followed a case a year or two ago where the missing child (cannot recall his name) was eventually found in the home the next day. I believe in the laundry room, under and/or behind things. Intentionally concealed, and not some place anyone would look.

Yes, I remember that. The child was in a laundry basket I believe? Can't remember who that was either, but the child was murdered. Sadly, I don't think a child would just die in their own home unnoticed :(. For a child to die accidentally AND be concealed is very unlikely.
 
I suppose this still could be an accident however, I wonder if mom was angry about DCF being called again and took it out on Semaj. I really hope not. :(
 
In every single picture available, Semaj looks so unhappy.
