This is a real long shot, but Nancy Grace is covering a breaking news story of skeletal remains being found about 200 yards off of highway 575 near Huntsville, ALA. The gender or age of the remains aren't known at this time. The discovery was made by surveyors.

One caller to Nancy Grace's program asked if there's a possibility that this could be Stacy Peterson. The answer by someone Nancy is referring questions to, was that this person appeared to be dumped there, not buried.

I looked on a U.S. map, and the Alabama location is about 500 miles due south of the Chicago area. As I said, it's a long shot

My ears perked up when I walked into the room and heard that on TV also.
The first thing I thought of was the truck driver who said DP approached him to carry something..
I think that was later proven false though.
What about the young college student that is missing??? The young man???

Okay, so there is a blog here which seems to be Drew and Joel friendly.

"Scrutinizing The Microscopic View of Drew Peterson"
"Drew Peterson lives under a microscope, perhaps unlike any one else. Whenever Peterson opens his mouth, it hits the media. Now, the former Bollingbrook police sergeant who is a suspect in the disappearance of his wife makes the news for a traffic stop.
blah blah blah"

Two things, one, the blog is posting a Drew and Joel provided photo of Tom Morphy, the blog has a second one but so far has not posted it.
Second thing, the first comment to the above 'article' is a response by Joel Brodsky.

Since it is a comment, I see no reason not to reproduce it in full:

Joel A. Brodsky said...

The whole event with the traffic stop is amazing. Every paper wants to put a sinister spin on it because a 22 year old girl is involved. (Sinister sells) What truly happened is not sinister and therefore will not sell newspapers. There is a young woman who knew Drew because he goes to a tanning salon where she works. They were never really friendly until they met once outside work through a mutual acquaintance (a neighbor in his mid 30's). She has a boyfriend of her own age, by the way. Because they met outside work once, they became a bit more talkative when Drew went the store. She had Drew’s phone numbers from work, and Drew told her, (as is his common practice - wait and read the whole post), that if she ever needed a hand that she should give him a call. The girl was out with her boyfriend when he was arrested for DUI at 2:30 a.m., not too far from Drew’s home. The police took the boyfriend into custody and towed the car. The girl was left stranded and alone at 2:30 a.m. She decided to call Drew and ask him for a lift home. He agreed, and was in a hurry to get to the young girl who was alone and on the street at 2:30 a.m., (and obviously in an unsafe situation), when he was stopped. Drew was stopped by the police, and when he told them what he was doing, helping someone out, they gave him a pass on the speeding ticket.

If you know Drew then you know that this is what he does. For example on Friday evening he was out for dinner with a friend and his wife, (both in there 50's). While having dinner a women in the restaurant, a stranger to Drew, had a seizure. Drew administered first aid to the woman, (32 years of law enforcement training), and stayed with her until the paramedics arrived. This didn’t make the news. It would have if the woman was 22, but because she was elderly there was no way to make it sinister, and therefore it would not sell papers.

Another example. When Drew and I were in Los Angeles for the Larry King interview, there was a traffic accident outside the hotel while we were in the lobby. A passenger in one of the cars (an African-American woman in her 40's), was badly shaken up in he collision and was shaking. While everyone else (including me) just stood there not knowing what to do, Drew went right up to the car, got the women out, sat her down on the curb, gave her a quick once over to see if she was injured, and sat with her and calmed her down (soothing talk and telling jokes), until the police arrived.

Ask any neighbor of Drew (except next door neighbor Sharon Bychowski who will never admit it), and they will tell you that Drew was the neighbor who would give them a hand when they needed it. Ask any Bolingbrook cop and they will tell you that Drew would always help when they asked (lend a few bucks, help drive someone who’s car is in the shop, watch the kids when there was no sitter, etc.). Ask yourself, why is none of this in the news? We try to get this out but nobody publishes it. Is that fair? Ask yourself, is Drew being railroaded because it sells newspapers and increases cable TV ratings? If your answer is yes, then ask is there something you can do about it. Yes there is. Go on the blogs and newspapers article comment sections and complain and post. Tell them you want the truth, the WHOLE TRUTH and nothing but he truth.

Sorry, I actually meant to post this on the Drew thread. Oh well.

Also, I do not think it is wise, at this time, to post here that photo of Tom Morphy. Drew and Joel are trying to 'smoke him out of hiding'. Obviously, they are worried about what he has to say.

He met her at the tanning salon once and once outside work. They have a mutual friend. That is all? Then how did she know she was close to his home when she ended up stranded? Does she memorize all her customers addresses and phone numbers?

Her boyfriend was DUI, so when he was arrested was there a reason why she didn't drive the vehicle home?

Methinks JAB is either not telling the truth or is not telling the whole story.

I agree about not posting the picture of Tom Morphey here. I read the article and the reader comments. I don't agree with the premise of the article. I believe the reason the ISP hasn't made charges yet is that they're waiting on a grand jury indictment, and are hoping that they find Stacy's body before proceeding with an arrest and charges. In the state of Illinois, the prosecution is to proceed to trial within 120 days of indictment. So they must have their case locked up tight before charges are made.

One thing to note................Joel Brodsky claims that his belief in his client going public is based on the outcome of the Michael Jackson trial and the Robert Blake trial. In both these cases, Michael Jackson and Robert Blake went public with interviews and subsequently were found not guilty of their crimes.

Joel Brodsky didn't mention O.J. Simpson, who didn't go public with granting interviews, yet he too was found not guilty in his criminal prosecution. I feel that the not guilty verdicts in these cases had more to due with celebrity status and the communities in which the trial was held, and not because of the individual going public.

Joel Brodsky also didn't mention the Laci Peterson case, which more closely resembles the Stacy Peterson case. In that case, Laci's husband, Scott Peterson, went public granting interviews, and he was subsequently found guilty and is now sitting on death row.

So, I feel Joel Brodsky's logic in this is faulty. In my opinion, he's in this for publicity and I think it's going to backfire on him.

Someone may have posted this already..if so I apologize. I don't go to the FSP website often but I did jump over there today to see what was new. It appears Sharon, Stacy's neighbor has been posting there for about a month. Her comments are wonderful. Check the thread on Fresh Flowers for Stacy. Sharon started it to thank members who had been dropping off flowers at there house and garden. There are some beautiful posters in the garden for Mother's Day of Stacy and Kathleen. They are on that thread. Sharon posts under "Sharon".

Another interesting thread is "for Thomas Morphey". Tom's brother Michael has posted there and so has Tom's lady friend. Michael posts under his name "Michael" and the lady friend is "mom of 3 boys". Very touching to see Tom's family rallying around him after the Drew deal on Abrams show making him look like a pothead.

DeltaDawn.................I check out the FSP forum at least once a week and have been following he comments about the flower garden and the thread on the Morphey family. The flowers are beautiful and the comments from the Morphey family heart-warming.

I'm very dismayed to see another forum in which a number of DP supporters are challenging those who believe DP is guilty, and are making terrible remarks about Sharon and the FSP site.

I think Sharon just lets Drew roll right off her back. She is the one that sees he leaves the kids alone to go bar hoppong and brings his lady friends to the house. I think she knows his day is coming and I know she will be so happy and releived that Stacy and Kathleen are vindicated when Drew is placed under arrest.

No kidding DD!! What a classy lady. She must be under a lot of stress living next door to DP, but she never appears to let it get to her.

I think she was like a mom to SP and a grandmom to those kids! What a great loss to the kids. Even the day that SP went missing she had halloween treats for the kids. What a sweetheart.

I was thinking about mother's day a lot today and thinking how sad it is for the Peterson kids! The teenagers have lost both a mom and a stepmom!
What a sad thing for those precious children!

Aw, Brodsky is upset nobody talks about the "good" things? Well maybe it's because Drew is always sticking himself on camera and doing interviews and sticking his foot in his mouth by calling his own children's blood relatives "trash" and bashing the reputations of everybody around him.

And of course, leaving his own children home alone while he rushes off to the aid of virtual strangers at night. Or bar hopping.

I see some "good" things. It happens everytime DP and Brodsky open their mouths and speak. :woohoo:

IMO, the yellow brick road is winding down and DP will not make it to the end of the road. The GJ'S term is up this month and they have heard testimony from some very very important witnesses this pass week.

I honestly feel it won't be long until an indictment is passed by the GJ against DP for charges of murder.

It's my understanding that the grand jury tenure ends mid-May which is within the week, but there is the option of extending it for another six months. I suspect there might be an extension only because a judge is supposed to make a ruling about two weeks from now regarding whether or not the two oldest sons of DP are to testify before the grand jury.

I also suspect there's a desire to wait until the legislation passes regarding the admission of hearsay evidence. I think that decision is supposed to happen within the next month. An indictment after the legislation is passed will allow for some testimony at trial that might otherwise be deemed hearsay and inadmissible.

This weekend there's no volunteer searches being done as professional searches are taking place - water searches.

If she wasn't drunk - she could have or would have driven home the car - or the cops would have driven her home IF she was intoxicated too.... I know, it happened to me and the Huz. And ture met him only once at the salon and once outside work - how DID she know she was close to his house!??
Should be a police report, no?

Yes agree with you Leila! Like, Hello - Drew is NOT a famous person... JB's loic IS very faulty... LOL!

Uh, why didn't he look for Stacy if he would do anything for anyone? It makes you go hmmmm........

Happy Mother's Day to Stacy and all the other Mothers whose whereabouts are unknown. It just makes me very sad to think about how many of them there are. Unreal.

I'm certain that in Drew's career, he has done some nice things for people. That, of course, was part of his job. Many abusers appear to be "really nice guys" to the outside world. Some are even good parents.....to a point. But, that doesn't take away from the fact that there are many very negative stories about Drew Peterson which point to him being an abuser and regrettably, probably escalating to murder - TWICE.

In all Brodsky's glowing remarks about Drew, the one that caused me to laugh out loud is Drew going to a tanning salon. Am I the only one who finds this telling? Grieving husbands don't get tanned up....and I say that vehemently. And helping out the 22-year-old.....yep, right up his alley. Drew picks on women who are needy. Her boyfriend drives drunk and Drew comes to the rescue. There are enough creeps in the world that some young girl is going to find Drew charming. I hope this poor girl wises up. Also, does it really make sense to anyone here that LE would arrest her boyfriend for DUI, tow the car, and just leave her stranded at 2 A.M.? Does this make sense? Something is missing here.

Drew, wow, what a guy.
