PC:You mention in the probable cause statement that the defendant had went an hour early to his workplace. Was that discovered later when the search was going on?

We are not going to discuss the order of events... of how evidence was discovered. The probably cause statement that was made in court was more chronological- based on the evidence we can prove today. not going to get into what we found, where we found it

Is the place where Willow was found on the way to Starbucks?

I don't know if this is considered "rumor," because it was on Facebook, but I personally feel it isn't, so I'll risk posting it.

Willow's little brother's uncle (his father's brother... Willow and the brother have different fathers) (Identity confirmed on FB) said last evening that her little brother (NG) was currently with NG's father. I don't know the current situation, but that was where he was last night.

I just don't see why he would confirm he was in the bathroom watching *advertiser censored* and masterbating unless he was concerned about that DNA being found on Willow (shudder) or in the least other evidence at the scene she was found.

Like someone else here stated, sounds like he is setting up his defense.

Maybe the mom's statement about Sunday is a lie that Justin told her. She was covering didn't want to see like she was a bad mom and up all night so she said she saw them at 8:45 because that is when Justin told her he last saw her. The inital story about the close was what Justin told her so she would have a statement to polices instead of "I was out drinking all night and came home" and didn't get up till 10:45 and found out my kid was missing.

I think that is exactly what happened.

That could be the case, but, once we start rolling into the next day without Willow, it would be very important to let LE know the real timeline to help the search. Then again, maybe she did and that was when the search focuses on JD. They may have known it was a recovery at that point. I do think many people may (or may not) have a legitimate reason to be mad at the mom. :twocents:

I know this won't make me popular, but I refuse to deal in speculation. I cannot in good conscience sit here and pile stuff (like FOR SURE he raped her/abused her) without facts to support that. Turns me into a gossiper, not a sleuther. :moo:

You're absolutely right, hon. And I'm guilty of speculating - emotions took over while I listened to that PC and read that article.

Going to take some deep breaths and wait for the documents. There's still a lot that we don't know.

I think if Willow did run into the stick pile that night ,it was because she was fleeing in terror of whatever her uncle was doing to her in the house, and the stick pile is just where he caught her.

She could have been silenced there, there has to be a reason why this pile of sticks plays are part in the story. Could come down to how the household always found it a danger to the children and it's being used as a crutch in his "defense."

Once again I am trying to catch up.

Hopefully the probable cause statement has been released.

My take is that the DA is wrote the statement out based on what the uncle told them...I'm not buying the falling on the stick. But the DA, because of the stabbing, doesn't need to argue that's a lie to levy a first degree murder charge against him. The DA is merely using the uncles own words against him that he stabbed and killed willow. It will be almost impossible for a jury to ignore his own words.

All I see is by him talking about the masturbating is him setting himself up for "bodily fluids" to be perhaps found later on in the investigation. He can whine about them transferring to her somehow "on accident"... Blah, blah, blah... IMO

I agree most of the time it seems if there was not a sexual assault it would be stated. Would rape test be quick to verify one way or another or does that take time in some cases even if the victim is found "quickly"?

This sounds logical... mom may not have even put the two things together right away... might have thought "Dang, I leave my brother in charge and he takes off leaving the kids alone"... then she can't find Willow, and may have just thought she'd left on her own...

DeRyke said Long was twitching and he "believed he had to put her out of her misery." DeRyke then slashed her throat and said he stabbed her multiple times, aiming for the heart before wrapping her body in garbage bags, sealing them with duct tape and dropping her body in a body of water south of Watson.

Kibler said the body was found by volunteers at around 7:30 p.m. Monday and a small hole in the bag revealed an elbow, with the size of the bags indicating the remains inside may be those of a child. The bags were not opened at the scene and were instead sent to St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital for an autopsy.
