Not sure if this was already mentioned BUT the way she approached the vehicle so swiftly and quickly she must've known this person. Just as from my own experience as a woman in the world, I always hesitate for a moment when someone is trying to get my attention (especially from a car) as a reflex to cat-calling.

Why will corn not be tall in a couple of weeks? Will they harvest it in a couple of weeks?

In my experience, they won't begin to harvest until late August or September.

Previous poster might have meant it was tall enough to hide a body for a while, not necessarily that the corn would be short in a few weeks (just my guess).

Separate $40,000 reward to be announced for missing UI scholar

Authorities are holding a news conference Monday night to announce a second reward for information leading to the arrest in the disappearance of a University of Illinois scholar visiting from China.

The UI and Champaign County Crime Stoppers plan to announce a $40,000 reward following the disappearance of 26-year-old Yingying Zhang, which the FBI has labelled a kidnapping.

Someone has to recognize this guy. In the grainy footage he appears to have a very large nose ... unless it's a shadow from sunglasses. His haircut looks distinctive, too.

I agree! And there was mention that she is very cautious and even wears her backpack in the front. A cautious person doesn't walk up to a stranger in an unknown vehicle without hesitation. Right?

I don't think it's a given that she knew the driver. I think he pulled up and immediately started talking to her, and somehow quickly convinced her to get into the car. Maybe he lied and said he was representing the busing system, or a flashed a fake cop badge as has been mentioned before.
