No LE did not. Humans and internet did it. And we had horrible podcasters who IMHO were committable and should have not been anywhere near YouTube slapping “murderer” across people’s faces. These “public pois” managed to have a life later, kudos for them, but how was it at that time? Some lost a lot, position, prestige, families, got divorced. Maybe not everything they did was perfect, but these were human behaviors, and - they are not murderers.

But, LE said that no one was cleared yet. After all, they were right, given who it ended being, but after LE investigate and go to trial, they have to publicly clear everyone else. As it stands now, even their own policemen, even Delphi management, for lack of a better term, were constantly discussed by the public.

Guess what - these people who were so much discussed don’t look like RA at all. Some, oddly, slightly resemble one another. That photo of BG was really pixelated and did not represent anyone. You could truly slap any white guy on it and get your BG…

The amount of nonsense I've listened to on this case from wannabes masquerading as true crime reporters exceeds any other case in recent memory. It's one thing to say OK this guy matches some of the things you'd think BG would be but so many would just make loose and shoddy connections and say "I know he did it!"

Thankfully many of these fools don't have much of an audience but I even heard true crime podcasts I respect give a few of the loons airtime to spout their absurd theories.

Gray Hughes is an example of one who never did and stuck to the facts and as much as I can only tolerate his live broadcasts so much because of the constant interruptions and going off track barking at trolls, his adherence to known evidence and factual information is second to none so the man has my respect. Good person who does it for the right reasons even if his show typically isn't my thing.

Usually the request comes from the defense. But in some cases it comes from the local courts because of lack of resources and money for that jurisdiction. Sometimes the state will kick in money and resources for said jurisdiction. In any case, I'm positive this situation will be resolved. Imo.

Helpful with his vast knowledge of medications? Helpful with the layout of their local CVS? Helpful with picking out good well soon cards? Helpful with the best ways to kill and gut a deer? Helpful with the lay of the (Delphi) land?

As a non American who has been shocked by what’s gone on since his arrest I’m not shocked by this today.


Also any lawyer will LOVE this as it’s showing he can’t get a fair trial as so many have condemned him already. It’s a really sad state of affairs that this should be about Justice for Libby and Abby and their family’s and it’s turned into this. This helps RA imo

All that does is make a good argument for change of venue. This will not be the first murder trial with great public interest with great desire for vigilantism. Imo.

I believe he is in talks with an attorney by now. I know it is probably not in court record YET because he probably hasn't officially signed a dotted line. But there is no way he not conferring with lawyers.

I still wonder if RA being too helpful was something that turned LE's radar back to him as the investigation went on. There have been a number of cases before where the ultimate perp either attends vigils for the victims, passes out fliers, etc. or tries a number of means to stay close to the investigation or story.

Speculating but I wonder if he said something or a series of somethings that as LE learned more and started to discover more about the a_s profile, etc. they thought "hey that Allen guy said/did [X] a while go" and that strikes as an odd coincidence. All it takes with that is one crack and the floodgates open. I've read cases where perps have sunk themselves by being "very helpful" to LE.

I’m just floored to think that this deviant beast did such a good job of maintaining stable family & career & hiding for decades what was inside him - he has no record?! even that one domestic incident was nothing IMO, it sounds like he needed help with alcohol withdrawal, but his wife took him to the hospital so it doesn’t sound like he was violent with her JMO…

I am a domestic violence and abuse survivor.
Just because his wife drove him to the hospital does not, at all, mean that he was not violent with her.
And if she is a warrior of DV she will certainly NOT allow others on the outside know because it would only make it worse for her.

I’ve been told by many medical professionals, and all trauma therapists that emotional abuse is far worse than physical abuse. I say that one should never be compared to the other as they are both equal. Leaving the victims traumatized for life.

IMO, it's going to be very interesting to find out more about the sketches, because the ISP and FBI Delphi sites still have the YBG sketch up, yet BP has an "Arrest" sign over the OBG sketch on FB. DC once said the killer might look like a combination of both sketches, yet it was also clarified that the sketches are not of the same person. Here's some other quotes:

• The person in the sketch released Monday is described as having a youthful appearance, but could fall in the age range from his 20s to late 30s.
• This person’s appearance could look different today if he has grown a mustache, beard or let his hair grow longer or cut his hair shorter than depicted in the sketch.

This is not some dude who “disappeared” his wife, nor some pretty jealous gal. This accused is the person who kidnapped and killed two teenage girls, as the police says, barbarically. This group, pedophile killers, is so much despised, I doubt any of our famous ones would risk. This might totally kill the lawyer’s reputation.

What youtuber? Why not just call THEM out? Why try to make it seem like it's EVERYONE?

I want to know who this YouTuber is. They make money on followers. I shall unfollow that person immediately. I don’t watch anyone about Delphi now, but I follow some.

2) Would RA really be so brazen as to insert himself into the investigation by making a false impression? Is that either really clever or really stupid? If it had absolutely NO features whatsoever like his I would agree with the idea that it was him but that second sketch (the younger looking guy), the nose is spot on in a few of the comparisons I've seen to his photos. Not that that means he couldn't have still done it. As a long time bald guy maybe he was being super conniving to have them looking for a dude with hair. Who knows.
4) Someone mentioned maybe we are focusing on Libby and missing something with Abby.

Re. point 2 - I wonder if RA had a reason to be around the bridge, maybe not alone, and was viewed as part of a group? Thinking of his life story after the murders, I wonder if he had a very “human” alibi, which would be easily accepted and stood until perhaps someone looked at all alibis of that day, and decided to check details, and something did not fit. After all, he had “issues”, only too common ones, and had basically zero interactions with the law (I have more speeding tickets than he did). But everyone was looking for a person with the history of exhibitionism, or sexual attacks, and whatever he had, was nothing. Anyhow, I don’t think he came in as the witness, he probably came and said “here and why I was near the bridge this day, here are people to check it, did I leave them? To smoke and pee, that was all”. JMO. He did not come across as the witness, because witnesses are checked, too, and he totally flew under the radar.

Re. 4) there are two moms who are grieving. I think we have to be careful about discussing the girls. Could he be obsessed with either? Probably, and likely, LE knows.

It might be of interest to understand his “preferred style” and look at other women/kids around who disappeared, but in this context, I’d rather trace his places of work and moves. Why did he move from Peru? Why and when did he move to Peru? He might be covering murders by life events (someone disappeared - married soon, or changed a job, etc). Also, he might have attended AA, NA, pool, maybe some sports. Any woman who was part of the group later disappearing? Maybe much later? He might have preyed on some vulnerability, and two strong, smart teenagers could be, ironically, his downfall. JMO. I am not a criminologist.

This is so true. So sorry you had to go through that and glad you made it through to the other side. Have known several friends who were in abusive relationships. Surviving it emotionally takes a hell of a lot of strength so my hat's off to you.

Don’t you think that it might not be released, and someone still invents his story, and posts it with “my sources tell me”, and people will fall for it?

I always thought that ISP needed a good public speaker. Rob Ives seemed to be the best, due to some inner logic he has, but he is retired. My dream is, he could accept something like that, for the time, pro bono, or a local newspaper hires him as the bridge. The way everyone else speaks, they open for attacks, both themselves and their citizens.

DC would NEVER allow that IMO.

While I think RA IS indeed the guy on the bridge on the left... I don't think the side-by-side pics asking people to judge are helping that case. Feet and knees line up but the hips don't. I just don't think you can take 2 random pictures, where one was likely sized up or down so the feet and head are at the same heights, and say they are the same guy. But even so, I do think RA is the BG. I just don't think "evidence" like this would hold up in court.

Very interesting. So he's actually charged with what's usually called felony murder, not the default murder charge. I wonder what the reason is for that? Now I would really like to see the complaint/information. It also doesn't look like there are any other charges right now. No tampering with...
