Welcome back to the Delphi Murders discussion thread.

On the afternoon of Feb. 13th, 2017, best friends Abigail Williams and Liberty German were dropped off at a bridge in the town of Delphi. On Feb 14th their bodies were discovered around noon about 50 feet from the north bank of Deer Creek which is about 0.5 miles from the bridge.
The Sheriff's office gave a press conference on 4/22/19 and we have some solid information. Please take a look below

2. He has some item of the victims in his posession
3. He lied to the police about something during his first interview and they caught it

With these evidence, they cannot prove he was the one who killed them, so intentional homicide is ruled out which is why they are charging him with felony murder because they have enough evidence to prove he was somehow involved in the crime

I am not going to state this as fact because I don’t want to go searching for links. This is a repeat of what I understood from posts from some of our resident lawyers. This is my OPINION. In Indiana, it is just Murder, though with different counts. There is no “Felony Murder”. The definition of what you are calling felony murder is Murder 2 in Indiana, this includes Murder with an aggravating factor (which they have, kidnapping, and maybe sexual assault). It does not mean that they do not have the evidence to charge him with Murder 1. I believe that it is a much easier case to prove murder with an aggravating factor (he is on tape directing them for the kidnap!) than it is to prove premeditated murder which is Murder 1 in Indiana.

Just one tiny addition since we've been over this a lot.

Murder (section 2) or whatever the ( ) is called. Otherwise, someone might decide it's 2nd degree murder and run with *that*.

As far as I have understood (in other words in my opinion only), there is such a statute as "murder while committing a felony"
Call it what you wish, but that's felony murder, and the felony is kidnapping. They were ("Down the hill") transported without their consent from one place to another.
We don't have proof of any other felony, but the kidnapping and ultimate murder.

So LE continues to investigate the murders of Abby and Libby. I wonder what "far from complete" means. Probably there is a lot they are investigating yet. I wonder if that includes people.

That statement alone could lead me to think there is so much unknown, not just to the public, but to LE themselves.

Could be their current suspect has tentacles.

I wouldn't be surprised if another arrest came along, other players involved, or possibly other murders tied to RA.

My only hesitation to commit to an association between KAK and RA is that if there was sharing of child *advertiser censored* between the two, via cell phone, laptop or other digital means, investigators would have already established that connection long before the arrest of RA, using whatever means they use to catch people who possess and distribute child *advertiser censored*.

I am totally confused now with KAK even with the extreme amount of smoke and coincidences. But he did hide a phone from the search warrant and delete apps and microwave either that same phone or another and Libby did a factory reset of her phone in the days beforehand......so I think the most damning Delphi evidence was either lost or a real process to restore.

The MS podcast did say KAK confessed that he waited for the killer in his red jeep. So unless he didn't know the real identity (which could be possible) or is a huge liar (also possible) that is a connection even if online was lost. Also he was flown to the ISP in August where he could have talked then.

This article may have been discussed, but is interesting because it already has his reduced number of charges (25 from 30) so perhaps new negotiations related to RA? Kegan Kline trial delayed amid “negotiations” in case
