Assuming LE believes he is from Delphi and they have a sketch, cripes, the male population is around 1300, including children. One would assume LE would go through high school yearbooks and compare. Unless the sketch isn't very good.

Carter expanded on “from” during the PC to not necessarily indicate this person was born, raised and still lives in Delphi.

“We also believe this person is from Delphi--currently or has previously lived here, visits Delphi on a regular basis or works here."

Carter said the suspect is between the ages of 18 and 40 and may look younger than his true age....”. (possible age later updated to 20s to late 30s)

Anyone know where the different descriptions are from? For example, weight is shown as 180-220 or 180-200. And height ranges from 5'6" - 5'10" or 5'6" - 5'8".

Somewhere he lost 2 inches and twenty pounds.

According to an FBI description, the man weighs between 180 and 200 pounds and stands between 5 feet, 6 inches tall and 5 feet, 8 inches tall. He was wearing blue jeans, a blue jacket or coat and a hoodie at the time of the killings.

LE has never released names of anyone who was on the bridge that day but neither would they have any reason to.

But they did state early on that everyone had come forward on the trails except for the person Libby captured on video. As it’s no secret Libby’s dad spoke to this person I think we can be quite certain LE knows who he is or they would’ve also been asking for him (or the couple) to come forward long before now. JMO

I really wish Supt. Carter would start to say MOO or IMO during his press conferences. I hang on his every word like gospel, and it has taken me down some rabbit holes. :-(

With the limited information we know almost every direction leads to a rabbit hole at some point. Even my wishful hoping about the "DNA testing research", when you take that 987 or whatever the exact amount is of males in Delphi, well then you can't forget ISP Carter also mentioned those outside Delphi coming into the community. Huge rabbit hole.

Jax, I just think they adjusted their estimates according to the evidence, such as video analysis, possible foot prints, angle of attacks etc..They published the first 2 images/frames of Libby's video rather quickly IMO.

I am wondering now, what else is in the video/audio..? In order to publish the BG image from Libby’s phone (or cloud? At that time?) they must have processed the video unbelievably fast, in less than 24 hrs? And yet they stuck to whatever plan they had of what to publish and what not IMO.

Was there some huge red flag there right from the beginning? They may not have known "who" did it, but did they possibly know "why" he/they did it ?

The suspect is still described as being between 5 feet 6 inches tall and 5 feet 9 inches tall......

The FBI poster is directly below, indicating the suspect is between 5’6 and 5’10. But the weight matches, between 180 and 220.

Absolutely, and there are giving genealogists, with generations living in the area and huge trees, who want to help. However, the phrase "he is from Delphi" is limiting. He may not be. At least there should be a few from several counties in Indiana, and possibly, neighboring states.

So do you think ISP Carter misspoke and was just being emotional, when he said he was local, he was hiding in plain sight and they'd probably interviewed him or his family? I've never heard a PC like that one before. It was frightening how direct he was, IMO.

My sister-in-law and her husband both have darker brown hair; she has blue eyes, he has brown eyes. They have 5 daughters - one has blonde hair/blue eyes, one has dark brown hair/brown eyes and the other three have red hair/blue eyes (one of these is a lefty).

Because of this it caught my attention several months ago when a local radio station was talking about a study that seems to indicate that people with red hair often require more anesthesia than non-red heads. There were several people that called in with stories that seem to support this - a few even reported waking up during surgery. (Ugh!)

Yes but as people have mentioned on here, that can sometimes be wrong so LE may not be able to state with accuracy "not blue' because of the anomalies. I have green eyes yet my mother and one sister has blue eyes. My spouse has blue eyes so my children will probably have some blue notes in their DNA but they don't have blue eyes either ( one has green, one has brown ). I don't think it's black and white. (Excuse the pun)

It's all in the genome testing (much more detailed testing), in a certain chromosome, two side by side genes. One is responsible for determining the amount of melatonin released and it's buddy gene can throw a switch to turn it down, brown, hazel or green eyes or turn it off, blue or gray eyes. The variables for the blue eyes are so small and few, scientists have pretty much determined every blue-eyed person on the planet is related to one ancestor. Quite remarkable for not that long ago science was clueless as to where blue eyes came from.

It might sound weird to people like us, those who have followed every article and interview from the beginning, but despite how horrible these murders were there are still those who haven't heard about them. It didn't make everyone's life come to a stop. I was surprised when I was in Delphi back in August to find that one of my friends couldn't tell me when the crime happened and another couldn't tell me the girls' names (only referring to them as "the girls"). And I had some family members say, "I thought they'd already caught the guy?" For many, life just continued on as normal. At first I thought it was weird, but then I started thinking about our small town and our worst crime. A 14-year-old girl was on a walking trail just a few feet from downtown and she was beheaded. Still no arrest. I'm sure the family could tell you where THEY were when they learned the news and when it happened but the rest of us? I couldn't.

Some people just do NOT pay attention to crimes even local. During The Green River Killer's reign, many had no clue about his existence even though it dominated the media. Many people live in their own bubble.

Been reading most of the posts here regarding DNA ties to Delphi etc. IF the perp lives somewhere close by but has no relatives in the area and moved to this area 12-20 years ago from perhaps another state would the search for faminal DNA do any good

Just a what if I have been thinking about today. A girl and guy come to the park around noon and park at the CPS building. They are down by the creek and are arguing. The girl takes off and gets in the car and leaves. Boy is unhinged and a powder keg. He crosses paths with Abbey and Libby and he blows. That girl would remember she parked at the CPS building. LE knows there may have been a car there at noon and sometime before 5PM it was not. All just speculation. My mind runs wild sometimes.
