I said a long time ago that the statement the property owner made while being interviewed raised questions in my mind...something like, who'd have thought those girls would be murdered right here in my backyard. The police have never said they were murdered there. There is always some truth in the way people say things even if they are lying.

To the property owner that is his back yard.

This is a reason why i wouldn't get involved in missing/murder case.

So. Who wants to do homework with me?
From that list i would like to:
Map all the missing on list
Timeline sheet of missing, list in order of date
See if they are friends on sm or if they have friends in common
Not sure I can do it all myself

I'd happily do the mapping bit

We've gone so long without an update...it makes me wonder if they've had any credible leads. I'm getting more and more discouraged by the day. I might need to step away for a few days because I have found myself either on this webpage or on the facebook page all my waking hours. I can't figure it out. I don't know.

I do foresee a 20/20 or Dateline murder mystery.

There have been updates almost daily, just not formal press conferences. Sgt. Slocum tweets about the case almost every day and he and Sheriff Leazenby have given statements to the media. You just have to dig through the articles to find the latest information. For example, yesterday, Sgt. Slocum said they are actually "ramping up their efforts" in this case.

Fabulous, i will do the dates missing and also an alphabetic order and start sleuthing for a common needle in the haystack. :)

Seems useless ... google the Barnum effect.

Thank you for the link. I did Google the Barnum effect and learned something. In my opinion, though, there is a great deal of difference between vague statements such as "You have tendency to be critical of yourself" or "You have a great need for other people to like and admire you" and specifics such as being familiar with a certain area or changing the appearance of your car or altering your physical appearance a short time after the crime. JMO.

Don't despair. I was feeling like this yesterday. But I've been telling myself that somewhere in those 1000s of tips they've received, there's got to be a tip(s) that could lead to this guy's capture. It's taking time.

Missy Bevers case has had no update for over 6 months......LE has so many tips to sort through in this case . Hopefully soon, there will be justice for the girls

Indiana State Police Superintendent Doug Carter appears in the video with McAfee, which includes a picture of the prime suspect along with an audio recording of a voice saying, “Down the hill.” Both pieces of evidence were recovered from the cell phone of 14-year-old Liberty German.

“They were brutally murdered two weeks ago,” Carter said in the video. “We need your help.”

“Now we are calling on you,” McAfee said. “This could be a nationwide search. We’re at $103,000 for the cash reward for any tip or finding (leading to) an arrest. Jim Irsay and I going to make up that $97,000 to make this a $200,000 reward.”

Sorry if this has been posted. Just got a text re: families may talk soon.

"DELPHI, Ind. (WLFI) — The victims’ families of the Delphi double homicide took a tour of the investigation facilities and police updated them on how it’s going so far.

Indiana State Police Sgt. Tony Slocum told News 18 they talked to both families about coming out to the media soon. They aren’t sure when that’s going to be, but they believe when it happens it will be at an organized press conference.

Slocum said the reason they don’t want people jumping to conclusions about arrests and suspects on social media is because it compromises cooperation. People are afraid to be classified as a suspect if they offer information, and information is what they need most right now."

Gunther, just wanted to make a quick note to say thanks for your silly profile avatar. It made me LOL. It's a funny little bright spot when reading so much sad, depressing stuff about this case.

Pretty spot on anlysis, too.

I'm amazed by these families even being able to get out of bed and somewhat function. I can't imagine how hard their lives must be now. I hope they only talk publicly if they really feel comfortable doing so. Otherwise, I think the media should leave them alone in their grief.

Or along these lines... could have been a neighbor to this guy who knew he'd be gone- someone who lived on another property nearby. All imo.

The Karina Vetrano case took six months for an arrest and the people sleuthing on that thread felt the same way you do. It takes time but never lose hope.

I'm not sure I feel right with the hitchhiker idea. Hitchhikers are not common these days, at least where I live; it used to be (in the 70s and 80s). Most people I know wouldn't pick up a lone guy on a rural highway ..especially at night? I guess it's possible he was picked up by a trucker. I really think someone would have noticed him though. It's not like you stick your thumb out and get a ride right away (maybe got lucky?) you could be out there 30 minutes, an hour, trying to get a ride. JMO.
When I go visit my folks in upstate New York (they live 6 miles from Woodstock) I am dismayed at the large numbers of young people (some hippy types, some backpackers) that hitch on the road to Woodstock.

Having said that, who would pick up our BG? He's far from a kid, and I wouldn't even pick up one of the kids.

Gotta wonder if the hitching remark is more directed at truckers. Also do they think he maybe just hitched a ride from let's say the meat packing plant to the trails? Or are they thinking that's how he hightailed it out of town?

I really think he has ties to area.
What case was it that the concept of an "Awareness" area came up? My brain is mushy and squishy because I work 4p to midnight and I am feeling fuzzy today.

Wow even still? Surely these must be old folks revisting their glory days albeit in a haze.

Does anyone know would it be possible to park at or near the cemetery without your car being seen from the road. I'm in the south end, across the stream camp. I'm thinking the fastest escape route for BG would be if he had parked near by. I apologize if this has been answered earlier.
