i agree with you. the photo is meant for someone who knows him. If it was my father, brother or co-worker i could recognize them even with the grainy image. I don't think the photo is meant for random strangers to identify. The person who knows this guy will not need it enhanced or filtered to recognize him in a glance and it won't matter if he is carry something in his coat or what brand it is.

Good point BT. Taking that a step further, would you think that LE with their knowledge of RSO's or people they have arrested would recognize the photo? Or are we speculating specifically family, friend or someone one sees on a regular basis?

There is nothing to suggest ths volunteer firefighter is BG.

The body is totally wrong.

Please, even though he was arrested on a sexual assault charge his body is not even close and what he is accused of is not the same as what happened to Abby and Libby.

Look at the white clothing around the neck, brown shirts,handgun, belt with large pouches, brown hats and probably wearing black shoes....etc.

Dang it. I'm way more comfortable just reading but now, I have another question. Where did I get that 2/13 was a half-day from? I've read almost every thread so I couldn't even tell you now where I got that idea. And if it is shown online that the 10th and 13th were no school, why would it include the words "Make Up Day"? Maybe it varies from state to state but "make up days" where I'm from are days that students are required to attend if the alloted amount of snow days exceed what is allowed for so, and they also use days that would normally be vacation days so I guess my question still stands, how would someone know if it was one or other? I'm only asking this based on the possibility that someone (BG) would know kids might be there that day. Does that make any sense at all?

There's also the possibility that he didn't know school was out, but was just out trolling for possible victims of whatever age. JMO

School would have been in session had they needed to make up snow days, but the winter was mild. Anyone local should have been aware. moo

Re the half day off, I think that was just bad info that got repeated online. It was stated here a few times but quickly corrected.

Also, what time does school usually let out? Might someone have expected kids to start showing up there by 3:00?

So the grain silo was searched on 3/10, which isn't RL property. Was there a SW for that then ? Is the grain silo on Mears property? And the barn you are talking about? If not RL property, they must have had a separate SW for that IMO.

I don't know that the grain bin was searched, like inside. RL'S pickup was parked next to the grain bin which is near the old barn. I don't know if they took anything but the evidence truck was there that day, 3/10 so they seemed prepared to take something. Complete with media also.
They went back to the barn on 3/17 when they issued a SW for RL. Someone earlier mentioned there can be problems in court when submitting evidence obtained without a SW, so it makes sense they had one.
I've been looking for the photos of the searches that jumped out at me, seem to point to more going on that just searching RL'S property. When I find I will post.

Birds of Paradise, one page back Shiresleuth has a list that helps. Personally I think RL was befuddled by it all, incomprehensible to his mind. He has easy access to his property and his detention could be strictly for preserving integrity to the crime scene area, because BG had to possibly duck and hide for cover upon his exit. I really do not see any guilt in him. He was an easy target. I could be wrong but his own incredulity about the crime was thoroughly convincing to me.

I don't know. I wonder if they were on that bridge or in those woods.

Unless LE releases video, more photos and more audio....we may never know.

I would like to ask the opinion of our community on pressing the courts for documentation concerning official charges. WS Admin stated no SA charges in this case. Just homicide twice? Also a copy of the SW on RL's property. Has that been withheld? Even the coroner's report may be made public in a redacted state----over two months without further discovery? I ask if it is unethical to press for these here, and still be respectful to Libby and Abby?

I'm not sure I believe you get befuddled, but to your question...Coroner's report was petitioned and granted to be sealed. Documents were presented here a few threads back. SA--we are not privy to that info as COD has not been revealed. AFAIK the SW has not been made public.

Not unethical to ask. We're all here for the same reason.
