Doesn't sound like there's any new info.

According to Marion Superior Judge Grant Hawkins, one of the jurors told the others they had heard of the case's long and winding journey through the courts system and were aware that a mistrial had been declared in the same case for a similar reason in December.

Also from the article:

Prosecutors also have requested an enhancement to the murder charge because the killing ended Amanda Blackburn's pregnancy.
...
While prosecutors are expected to focus on Amanda Blackburn's pregnancy as a factor in the case, Taylor's public defenders are likely to argue that the defendant didn't know she was pregnant.

Is there no time limit as to how long a person can be held without going to trial? Maybe they should consider taking it out of Marion Co.

Today I was watching jury selection for a murder trial up in Elkhart Co. and they were pretty much grilling the potential jurists. How did the jurists in these two mistrials get to that point without their knowledge coming to light?

"Taylor’s trial was scheduled to begin Monday morning, but the jury was dismissed in a surprise move. A juror revealed to other members of the panel that she knew about the long-developing case and a previous mistrial. The juror had previously told the court she had no knowledge of the case.

Judge Grant Hawkins granted a motion for a mistrial requested by both the defense and prosecution, according to court records. The judge planned to confer with the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office to see if the jury should face any disciplinary action."

I was thinking the same thing with taking it somewhere else. I know the Richmond Hills murderer's were tried up in South Bend (I was kind of hoping to be called for jury duty, but knew i wouldn't because i knew to much)..

What murder trial is happening in Elkhart?

The juror did not represent a jury of Amanda's peers. #Idiot My Own opinion!

The trial has been moved to Aug. 29 with jury selection to begin Aug. 19.

Taylor: There's nothing new except the substitution of counsel; I hope that person is at least somewhat familiar with this case.

On a side note, I bet Watson's head explodes with each mistrial. He's probably impatiently waiting for these cases to be done so he learn if his sentence will be reduced. They entered a transport order for him to be moved from Pendleton. Is he going to testify?

It looks like Taylor's rape case is still on schedule. IMO it sure seems like a bad choice to bring Taylor's name back out in front of the public so close to the Blackburn murder trial.
