It's always hard to say what we'd do in a situation because unless we've been there, it's all speculation really.
With that said, I don't think I'd be taking down the Baby On Board sign. I would probably have the missing child poster on the windows of my car though. That's if I could even crawl out of my bed. I think I'd have to be sedated but wonder if there would be enough meds to do the job.

still no delano):..............i'm beginning to think this little one was gone for awhile.

either that or it's going to be an elaina steinfurth situation where he is extremely close to home.

At this point the story given by dad would be the better option at least the little guy would be alive being taken care of and fed...............sadly i don't think that's the case.

Still no Delano? I thought surely something would have transpired during the night. Sadly, kidnapping would have probably been a better outcome for Delano. :(

I keep thinking that he's only a month old so how long could he possibly have been gone but even a week is an almost insurmountable head start when you're talking about hiding something as small as a newborn. We've had adults seemingly vanish into thin air in far less time.

Going back to reporting a 4-6 week baby as being 16" got me thinking. Was that the measurement at birth? When was the last time the child saw a pediatrician? Did he make it to a one month check up? I hope LE is looking into this child's medical records to see if he made the appointments normal for a newborn.

IMO 16" is a very short baby. I know that mine are tall but my youngest was almost 23" at birth. That is a 7" difference. All of my friends' and family's babies have been 18-22". Even if the length was from his birth records that is still small. Not that it really matters I suppose but it just seems off.

That measurement has always stood out to me. I've had full term babies, all on the small side, who continue to grow on their own curve, and stayed below the 10-20% for their age even into the tween/teen years (where they are now) and they were all still born within the national average of 18-22" at birth. Newborns grow an average of 1-1.5" a month the first several months, so even if D was 16" at birth, he should be 17-19" by now. If he's only 16" at 6 weeks, he must have been only 14.xx" at birth and he was a full term baby!! That's less than 3" below national average. I think he was malnourished and didn't grow, never saw a doctor and they only had his birth length, parents just guessed, or msm made a mistake and no one is correcting it.

On average, a North American newborn baby will be 7.5 pounds and 20 inches long. While there are vast variations in newborn height and weight, 95 percent of full-term newborns are 18 to 22 inches long and weigh 5.5 to 10 pounds.

The length has seemed off to me as well, but when I look at his pictures, he seems like a healthy, thriving, and bright little boy.

The nearly impossible length that doesn't seem to coincide with pictures again makes me think of Lisa (sorry to keep coming back to that) who was listed with a staggering weight that would have been unbelievable.

This was her first baby, things like their weight and height after a 4 week checkup seems like things they'd remember. Two weeks after Delano's appt they guessed at his height? Why not check the handout from the dr? Call the dr? Or look at his records online (assuming all doctors do this).

I've noticed this in other cases as well where the height and/or weight seem to be way off, are details like that not important? Do reporters not double check with LE to ensure accuracy of these? If the measurements are correct then it seems it'd be easier to pass of a child as a different age.

Delano was 6 weeks old, but if he was only 16 inches, it'd be much easier to pass him off as a brand new infant. KWIM? Not that it seems likely that he was kidnapped but IF he was and the "new parents" showed him off to family & friends they wouldn't say "wow he seems so big for a newborn".

The level of detail is suspicious. Then I heard what the neighbor said about her seeing the car, up to that point I thought the car was made up. And she said the car was not speeding away.

If I pistol whipped someone and stole their baby, I would not be going the speed limit.

I think he randomly chose a car he saw when he came out of the alley and described it as the "abductor's" vehicle. Then other people confirmed having seen the car, so his story gained a little bit of credibility. MOOO!

Agreed that whatever his size, Delano looks healthy and thriving in that photo where he's sitting up (supported) and is smiling a little with a hand in the air. He doesn't look at all undernourished -- look at those chubby cheeks. He also looks like a six-week-old baby to me in that photo, not weeks younger. It looks like a very recent photo.

I suspect his parents accidentally gave his birth length to LE, maybe thinking he hadn't grown that much since birth, or maybe another relative remembered the figure or read it off to LE from the hospital documents. IMHO, it's not suspicious, just a mistake.

But does anyone remember the case within the last five years or so where a woman did make up a baby who never existed and claimed he had been kidnapped? I can't find the story online, but as I recall she listed her son's height, at several months of age, at something like a ridiculous eight inches. She also gave strange details like he had a mohawk and a fake tattoo on his arm. It didn't take LE long to realize she made up the boy's existence in hopes of getting back together with her ex, but I believe at least a few news alerts went out in the meantime. I don't think she even had any photos of the boy.

I have twelve kids. Nine of them are girls. If one of my sons were missing, their face would be forefront in my mind... their name... everything.

I know I can't say much, but I watched the video interviews and hers disturbs me the most. She knows what happened to her little newborn baby.

WOW! Never a dull moment for you, eh?

So Wilson had marijuana on him at the time he was robbed? That makes me think he didn't stage the abduction. He had an active warrant for marijuana and he would have known LE would search and/or interview him after he reported the crime, so the last thing he'd want to do would be to make a false report while carrying more marijuana.

On the other hand, if his son was kidnapped he no doubt would have called police right away without worrying about a small amount of marijuana he might have or whether he had a warrant out.

Maybe the small amount was small enough that he figured it would actually HELP his story if he was found in possession of it, for just the reason you said. Most people would assume that he'd be smart enough NOT to have drugs with him if he was making this up, but maybe he's smart enough to know that a small amount of pot (they released him the next day, right?) would get people to think that way.

I thought the daughter/son bit in the 911 call was strange, but I also thought it was weird that the mom referred to the (singular) baby as "them" (plural).

The thing about being knocked unconscious and sustaining a concussion, is that you awake in a bit of a mind fog and have no memory of what led up to the injury. There is absolutely no way someone could be knocked unconscious, wake up, and come up with this crystal clear description.

My ex once chucked a plate of food at me and then threw me against a wall. I blacked out for a second? minute? Not long, since he was in the same place when I got up as when I went down, but I remember everything leading up to it. I did not sustain a concussion, and do not think WW claimed to have either.
I don't BELIEVE him, but I remember (in my case) the plate, steak scraps, and silverware flying at me, and then being shoved and losing my balance when I stumbled over a short bookcase and my head hit the wall hard.

If mom was at work at noon, got the call to come home due to the alleged robbery/kidnapping, it doesn't strike me as odd that she was home/near the 'abduction site'. I question whether she was at work earlier that day.

Even if it was just her second day on the job, I'd have thought SOMEONE from work would have accompanied her home, or had LE come get her and take her home (assuming she does not have a car, and was returning home on foot when seen).

I can't understand cancelling the amber alert? It's only been active for a Few days, and the description (if it's real), was really detailed. A better description than some amber alerts.

Has anyone said what the BABY was wearing? I heard "a baby onesie" but what color? How can he know what the kidnappers had on but not what the baby he had been carrying around the block for an hour had on?

Oddly enough, if you take another look there is also another small, blue 4-door car parked directly across the street from the Wilson residence. Never even noticed that until right now. I can't tell what make/model but it looks quite similar to the one parked down the street at the alley entrance.

All this says to me though, is that this type of small-ish, 4-door blue car is not uncommon in that neighborhood.

I think that one is a Dodge Stratus, circa 2006 or so.

It was said to be dark blue, in one of the bazillion articles/links I've read since he was reported missing.

I really don't get the inaccurate sizes on missing kids. I know I couldn't give you exact statistics on my kids but I would be close.

There's no way Delano was 16" long, even at birth that is highly unlikely. I saw pics online of quads born around 29 weeks and they were all around 15".

Baby Lisa couldn't have weighed 30 lbs at 10 months old based on a) statistics and b) photos.

Jenise Wright and Isabel Celis were both 6 year olds reported to be 36" tall.

From the photos of Delano he looks average sized. I would guess him at 9-11 lbs and about 21-22" long.
