A $10,000 reward was offered Friday by the FBI's Merrillville Resident Agency for information about a 27-year-old woman from Gary who they believe was kidnapped.

Sidne-Nichole Buchanan was last seen Saturday at a concert in Tinley Park, officials said. After not having contact with her, her family reported her missing Monday.


Buchanan, who has tattoos on both forearms, is described by police as being 5-feet-1, 135 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. She was last seen wearing a purple dress, denim jacket, clear wedge shoes, several necklaces, a bracelet and hair clip.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call the FBI at 219-942-4655.

INDIANAPOLIS — The FBI is offering $10,000 to find a missing woman believed to be in danger and who was last seen at a Wiz Khalifa concert.

Buchanan, 27, was reported missing Monday by family.

Her family said she went to the concert with a man she’s been dating for a few months and never returned home, WGN reported.

CHICAGO (Fox 32 News) - The FBI said Saturday that a missing Gary woman may have been taken across state lines against her will, and that all available resources are being used to help find her.

Sidne-Nichole Buchanan, 27, was last seen July 27 at a concert in Tinley Park, Illinois. After not having contact with her, Buchanan's family reported her missing Monday.

The FBI told Fox 32 News on Saturday that "the presumption is that she was taken across state lines [from Illinois to Indiana] against her will until we find evidence to the contrary."

There may be a history of domestic abuse, her boyfriend may have a record of violent crimes, or be known to carry a weapon. Someone at the concert may have witnessed them having an argument, him dragging her to the car, etc.

Something has led the FBI to believe that she was kidnapped and taken across state lines against her will. I wish we knew what that "something" is. MOO

“We are confident we will find Sidne, but we know information we get from the public can assist us in doing that faster and ensuring Sidne's safety,” said FBI Public Affairs Specialist Chris Bavender.

KT said while the family is unable to discuss particulars, she has a strong reason to believe her daughter was kidnapped. She said Buchanan is the mother of a 9-year-old and 11-year-old.

"It's extremely difficult for her children," Turner said. "It's very tough for the family. She is very close to her siblings and very close to me. We are trying to shield her youngest from it but her oldest is completely devastated."

FBI Supervisory Special Agent Mike Peasley said as of Saturday evening, Buchanan is still missing. The FBI's investigations into the woman's disappearance shows that she was last seen in Illinois but there is evidence she was in Indiana after the concert.

I wonder if that time stamp is right on the pic? If that truly was thursday that is after she went missing. I am thinking it is a snapshot of a post, so probably not.
