Here's a very brief summary of events; all the info can be found in this thread. I can find no info whatsoever as to her body.

Oct 21 Kimberly was murdered
Nov 8 Elkhart Co Sheriff posted her as a missing person
Late November or early December Raid on House on Old Orchard (as per neighbors)
Dec 19 Cases Filed (Oct 21 charges)
Dec 26 News of arrests
 
I just found this article from the Elkhart Truth; it's behind a paywall but usually gives 3 free articles. I was really surprised to read that a motion alleges Owen was in custody at the time of the murder. How can this be??

3 held in torture-murder case

Owen has so much going on it's really hard to stay organized. Here is the case which may confirm that he really was in custody 20D01-1804-F6-000631; it's lengthy. After the warrant was served, there isn't enough info for me to determine if he was in jail or not on the 21st.

Thursday, January 23rd:
*Pretrial Hearing (for MA & MM) & Initial Appearance Hearing (for DO) (@ 8:30am CT) – IN – Kimberly Dyer (31) (occurred from Oct. 21 to Oct. 22, 2019, Elkhart) & Robert Porter (32) serious injuries (Oct. 21-22, 2019) - for *Donald R. Owen, Jr. (20/now 21) arrested & charged (12/19/19) with murder, robbery resulting in serious bodily injury, 2 counts of criminal confinement & life without parole enhancement.
For *Mario M. Angulo, Jr. (19) arrested & charged (12/19/19) with murder, robbery resulting in serious bodily injury, 2 counts of criminal confinement & life without parole enhancement.
For *Matthew A.P. Murzynski (24) arrested & charged (12/19/19) with robbery resulting in serious bodily injury, 2 counts of criminal confinement & current felony while member of/at direction of criminal gang enhancement (one related to Dyer; the other in an unrelated case).
Kimberly was held captive by three men. She was then tortured, burned & mutilated while she was still alive. The probable cause affidavit - which describes the nature of the crime in detail - is sealed to protect the identity of witnesses. Police say all three men were involved in gang activity. Confinement Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury, for their actions against one Robert Porter, age 32 of Sturgis, Michigan, alleged to have occurred over the same time period as Ms. Dyer’s torture & murder.
12/19/19 Update: for all: motion to seal public records-granted. 12/23/19: for all: State’s motion to unseal public records-granted.
12/26/19 Update: Initial appearance hearings for Angulo & Murzynski. Owen was found & arrested in Waco, Texas. He is awaiting extradition in McLennan County jail to Indiana. No date yet for Owen. Angulo & Murzynski: Next pretrial hearing on 1/23/20 & preliminary hearing on 5/4/20. 1/6/20: DA will seek life without parole for all suspects. 1/21/20: Owen has initial appearance hearing on 1/23/20.
 
Donald Owen Jr., 20 also appearing in court today. Remains held on no bond due to murder charge related to death of Kimberly Dyer. Important to note that all probable cause documents remain sealed in this case. Very few details known.

24-year-old Matthew Murzynski Appeared in court today in Goshen, Judge Christofeno set bond at $5 million due to the severity of the charges against him. He has not been charged with murder but is one of the three man facing charges related to the death of Kimberly Dyer.

The prosecutor’s office in court recommended a $1 million bond for Murzynski, but the judge went above and beyond and settled on $5 million for that bond, largely because of what he said was the severity of the allegations against Murzynski.

Owen has another hearing coming up on his other case. IMO, this one should determine if he was in custody or not when Kimberly was murdered. I'm surprised the news reporters haven't mentioned this.

#9 says it was a preliminary trial date. Currently both Angulo and Murzynski are scheduled to go to trial on 5/4/2020. There was probably some court action in between to solidify that date. They often note that docs are filed but they don't say what's in them.

For my personal records, I cut out a lot of the happenings so I can find the important ones quickly. Info like what officers are attending aren't of particular interest to me, either.

I see mention of his monitored calls. Those were part of the reason his bail was set so high, IMO. He surely must have known they were listening to his calls to his wife and girlfriend (mentioned in the last article I posted).
