Those bags belonged to my brother. Which I think I mentioned already. He dropped them when confronted with the gun.

I work on the Southside and am always checking for media updates. Nothing. Can you tell us anything that has been discovered, or any info at all? Prayers continue someone is still investigating.

First of all..WELCOME to all of his family, friends, neighbors and locals !!
I am so sorry for your loss and pray that you get some answers and that justice will be served. This is so tragic.

I am wondering if perhaps he was followed home from Krogers and hope that maybe police can look at cameras from Krogers and then look at any street, or intersection cameras for signs of being followed??
Also, was it unusual for him to sit in his car that long after getting home or is this the norm for him ??(My neighbor sits in his truck for a bit after he drives in) Maybe he knew someone followed him so he stayed inside car ? Or he saw something unusual or suspicious to him when he pulled in to parking lot that made him stay in the car ?
Too bad there aren't any cameras around the apartment complex, but maybe homes or business' nearby have them that you can look at .

Just throwing some of my thoughts out here ! Hoping for some answers for his family
 
He posted on his Facebook that he was sore and didn't want to move(from practice) and that's why he was sitting in his car. There was literally 7 minutes between his post and the shots fired call to police

So sad that Kobi's life was stolen from him like this. His poor family and friends...my thoughts are with them.
 
It is not just in the area, there is less than a quarter mile between the two incidents. If you Google 7200 block of Creekbrook and the 1400 block of Weber, they are super close. You drive basically on the same stretch for both. I'm waiting to hear froom his detective regarding plastics, but currently they look connected.

Didn't realize they were so close!

Reading the article made me think they were related, seems unusual for that type of crime in the area. Hopefully both families find peace and justice.

Of course neither story has a lot of detail; not sure why the southside doesn't get adequate repetition g on murders. Pretty frustrating.

He wasn't running to run, he was running from the shooter and being shot in the process. I think they are looking into his Snapchat account. The gun shots reported are those that killed him so no, he did not speak of them. His dog was inside. He posted on his Facebook at 9:57 pm that he had been sitting in his car for 20 minutes because his muscles were sore from derby. He also sent a snap to all his friends basically saying the same thing closer to 10pm. So that's how we know he was sitting in his car. We knew about Kroger because of security footage and grocery bags. And no, there are no cameras at the apt complex.

Hello, I have been looking into this case and was wondering if you could answer some information regarding your brothers case. From everything that has been reported publicly it leaves some questions as to if he actually knew his shooter versus it being a random act/robbery. Was his gym bag taken or was it left there in the parking lot with groceries? How much effort was taken to conceal his body by the shooters, if any? Could he have been waiting to meet up with someone for a date after his practice? Were his car keys stolen?

What about an ex boyfriend or a current relationship? His sister, Kala said in the Crimelight podcast, Kala said we was just out of a 8 year relationship. Has the ex boy friends cell records been received and compared? The Detective said he had ruled out any past relations. Was the ex boyfriend cleared? From the article, his bag was on the sidewalk with his groceries. What ring did Kala receive back from the coroner? We know that the fathers wedding ring was stolen with his wallet. Sorry for all the questions, just trying to help, Thanks
