I wish I knew how to interpret "police speak" though. I cannot tell if the pc today means they have no idea what happened at all or if it is significant that they are emphasizing that no one has been ruled out...including JW.

I dont know if body language analysts are able to analyze more than the fact that virtually every person who has been asked to comment on JW and his relationship with LS have positive things to say.

IF (note "if") LS had an interest in another, I am undecided whether JW or CR. Lots of emphasis in the first few days on CR this and CR that by HT.

In the video, this roommate, BW, quick to stress, "NEVER heard of him."

I don't know what the policy here is with rumors, since so many have made their way into the topic already. So, I'll take a risk. There is a rumor going around that JR took and passed his LD test. So now I have a question for all you great minds (no sarcasm): If that turns out to be true, what do you think happened ????

Are you referring to that itemized list by a JR fan? I found it to good to be true.

Thanks, BX! It does not appear that the 4th floor has west window.

And just to clarify a bit, all 4 floors do have west facing (towards Morton Street) windows, all 4 floors have north facing windows (including a 2nd floor Juliet balcony off of the "entertainment room"), and no east facing windows since this unit is up against another toward the east.

polygraphs prove nothing. the skeptics will not believe those who pass them, the results are not evidence at a trial for those who flunk them still others will demonize those who fail to take them.

His torso would have to be several feet long, though, to see around the obstacles between 5 North and the corner. ;-) See what I'm saying? There are other things in the sight line up the street from within the building. His perspective from inside would be wrong for seeing the corner. Similarly, with the east facing window on the tower, there's a large tree and and at least two two-story houses east of the alley that would obscure the view of the corner from higher up, let alone the issue of darkness we talked about. I just don't buy it. (The other thing that bugs me about JR claiming he stood there watching her walk away is how long did that take? He really stood there watching her walk a block uphill, in the dark, across gravel and glass and construction debris, watching, watching, watching, the whole way?)

Correct, but in addition the far west unit what I call the "tower" has an extra floor. I don't see an east facing window on the floor plan tho.

Someone mentioned something earlier about a rumor of a possible informant. That could be a HUGE thing....

I live near a very big (well known) party university. Please let me share this story to understand my point. I can tell you what has happened to some kids in this area....It appears to me that rather than trying to go after the BIG drug crowd (b/c they can't seem to find them), LE goes after every little peon. This seems to be an attempt at scaring new people from joining the "scene" and therefore, the idea must be that if there's no new interest, the drug crowd will die out....simply but sadly, isn't going to happen. With the case I know about, a boy's rooommate was selling. This boy (an acquaintance's son - we'll call him Tom) occasionally smoked (more like rarely). I think his roommate was found on Craigslist and he didn't know him well. A boy came to their door, wanting to buy weed from the roommate and Tom said that the roommate wasn't there. He asked if he could use Tom's phone to call the roommate. The kid talked to the roomate, then handed the phone to Tom, who was basically told, "just go ahead and put his money on my bed. The weed is in my top drawer." so Tom did. The kid was an informant and the next day, Tom was arrested. Tom was given the choice to have a felony record (they lived close to a school) or become an informant. He chose the latter but from what I understand, there was pressure on him to turn in a "quota". These kids seem to initially start finding the kids who they've heard rumors about, but eventually they have to start turning in their friends. I've heard they carry on, acting like they're still partiers (and many are, so they enjoy having a sort of immunity) so that their friends don't know. So......

My curiosity leads me to wonder about this group. If the "informant" rumor is true, what if LS was one? Weren't one or more of these boys already arrested in a drug charge recently? What if that happened b/c of a tip from LS? What if the "big" drug crowd got wind of that and somehow knew that LS was the informant? Maybe JW knew she was one and maybe that's why he was scared for her. If there is an informant connection here, this could add to the reasoning why no one is talking.

I posted about the possible informant previously, evidently rumors have been floated around Bloomington that a BPD informant is a POI and thus is conceivably involved in whatever may have happend to LS. I can't substantiate what I am saying because it's just a rumor at this time, but it sure could turn this case down a bumpy street if there's any validity.

Ah, I am not that familiar with the profession. Just a few demonstrations here and there and involuntary head shakes were one of the things they brought up. But, once again, pretty much everyone probably knows what body language specialists do more than me!

I wish we could get confirmation of who took polygraphs (if anyone) and who passed/failed.
Either way, one of the frustrating things about this case is we have so little actual evidence I feel like it could literally be anything from any of the POIs to stranger abduction....still. So, maybe JR is innocent and whatever happened to her happened after she left his place.

Me, personally. I am SOOOOO suspicious of JR, the only way I would believe he passed a LD is if it comes directly from LE.

Agreed. I actually found his assessment of JR compelling and reasonable, and the friend of JW's assessment very humanizing of JW and believable.

Yeah, I am not sure if PT should be considered, "a rumor going around". The guy is obviously biased towards one side and has nothing to back up the fact that he took and passed a polygraph. Not to say it is a lie, but I dont know if you can take this with anything more than a grain of salt.
