That may well be true. It's also probably irrelevant.

We know that this girl had a heart condition. It's heavily rumored and has not been denied that she was on drugs (said by one person who I believe might know to be out of the ordinary) that mixed with that condition present a risk of death. Death by that means is therefore (much?) more likely than murder in my opinion. Combined with a disappearance, that seems to indicate that the person most knowledgeable of the death and therefore knowledge of or even involved with the disappearance is the person with whom she was last seen. This is also the person that at least allegedly has been insufficiently cooperative, even if he had at one point spoken to and been cooperative with police.

It is certainly entirely possible that JR is completely innocent. The evidence available to us, however, points in his direction.

And it seems to be pointing in his direction more and more daily.

Can we discuss the threads where JW's brother posted?? It is 100% him and has some EXTREMELY interesting information.

I don't want to break the TOS so please let me know if I can post the link to it or at least discuss it... Salem said if it's a blog we can discuss it but it's actually a forum...

Why? The only new information we got is that he has been uncooperative... but so have all of Lauren's friends. We got no other information pointing to his direction.

(I'm sorry if this has already been covered, but I haven't come across it searching through the threads)

Would LS have had to go outside to get from MB/CR townhome to JR townhome? I only ask because of this:

"After taking care of Rossman, Spierer walked two doors down the row of 11th Street townhouses to the place where her evening began -- Rosenbaum's apartment. It's not clear when she got there."

"Kelly Wold, a 20-year-old employee of the Les Champs Elysees spa and salon, was walking alone in a striped sundress on 11th Street at 3:45 a.m. She was on her way home after a night drinking with friends. She walked right past 5 North Townhomes -- by Rossman's place, by Rosenbaum's. She didn't see Spierer. But she probably passed within 10 feet of where Spierer was last seen with friends. Wold's own roommate came in by herself at 4:20."

How is it possible for one to not see the other when the approximate times are so close? The townhome property doesn't look that big. Would JR not have followed LS through the threshold of his door in order to see her round the corner at 11th & College.

"Rosenbaum was the last person to see her before she rounded the corner."

Yes, their doors open to the street, so she would have had to walk down the sidewalk 2 doors down to get from one apt to the other, and then again when she supposedly walked to the street corner.
Here's the front of their apts, their doors open right to the sidewalk but you would have to step away from the door to be able to see down the street to the corner.

I would say that, based on that thread, and everything else that has been released by LE and the media-I would be absolutely shocked if JW had anything to do with it. I know that the info is biased because it is someone close to a POI, but nothing adds up to JW being involved at all.

So, you don't find it strange that JW after talking to HT about what happened the night before, including the fight inside Smallwood then LS walking JR home, that he would immediately think that LS was missing, without at least driving or walking over to CR's apartment before assuming this?

I have looked at this picture at least a hundred times and didn't realize those were the front doors to the units. I thought they led to stairwells that led to the units. Interesting.......

So, is there an LE/websleuth time from MB's information that she left his door and walked to JR's door, to see if it coincides with the time when the hair dresser was walking by at 3:45am?

Likewise, JR claims the 4:15 call to DR was made by LS, and then he last saw her round the corner at 4:30. If the hair dressers room mate was home at 4:20 after walking by the 5NTH's, she should have seen LS and JR. Or at least JR's door swinging closed. IMO of course.

When I was in college & it was time to leave, it always took at least 15 minutes to actually say goodbye and walk away. We would always linger & talk a little bit more.

No-I dont want to try to replay what might have gone through the mind of a guy who doesnt know where his girlfriend is. In this case, the only things that lead anyone to thing JW is guilty is by people placing their own emotions on his actions. I dont know what I do if I find out my fiance is missing. I dont know how many people I would call and how many places I would check before getting fearful. It is impossible to feel those emotions without being in the situation. We are now placing suspicion based on someone who did show concern for LS. This is soley because it has happened before. Any single scenario has happened before, though.

Point taken.

If I can look at this from a different angle or starting point for a moment -- and putting aside variables like acquaintances/strangers -- the lack of reports of an abduction, or of someone moving a(n albeit small) body, or of the discovery of a body in an urban setting -- makes me wonder if Lauren died in a car that she entered voluntarily. There could be all sorts of reasons that the person(s) in the car could have reacted, in shock, by thinking that disposing of her body would be the solution. Not to defend the decisions of anyone in the car, but it can be easy to make some bad decisions late, late, late into the night, when confronted by a stressful surprise. Should this have happened, I would urge anyone with knowledge to contact an anonymous tip line, or a lawyer for clarification, because there could be a safe way to sort this out. In my opinion, history shows that those who make a good effort to explain a sticky situation are usually rewarded for it, especially when we're talking about something that is emotionally charged -- right now you can defuse a bomb that might only get bigger and more unpredictable as time goes on. So, if anyone knows about this, seize the moment. I would be very sad for someone who is truly innocent to take the rap for murder just because they were scared about what they did (which was not murder!) when things got crazy.

I actually found everything his brother said absolutely BIZARRE.

I mean, he said that Jesse was devasted and was pretty sure Lauren was dead... a few days after her dissapeance?

Why wasn't he hopeful? Also, I found it bizarre that Jesse's mom was sure Lauren was on benzos and cocaine that night? A bizarre assumption for a "mother in law" to have.

Seriously, it would take what, less than a minute, to have gone from MB/CR's apt. two doors down to JR's? I don't find it suspicious at all that the hairdresser didn't see either of them, nor her roommate (who was home by 4:20). How far away was their apt. from JR's? Let's say it was a 5 mins. walk. That would put her in front of JR's place at 4:15 (around the time of the phone call). If JR was making that call, I'd guess he was in a state of panic and probably there was commotion/people frantic, etc. She reported none of that (that we know of). Additionally, if LS made the call, she was inside doing so, b/c she hadn't even left yet. If the girl was even earlier, LS was still inside. If she was later, well, their clocks could have not been in sync or it's even more likely that no one thought to notice the EXACT timing of any of this. I'd say the timing was close but that the planets would have probably had to align for her to have coincidentally happened to have seen either LS or JR - guilty or not.

Do we know if JR was still at his Bloomington residence when police talked to him, or had he already left town by the time they got in touch with him?

I have another theory... what if Rosembaum did NOT watch Lauren walking like he initially said, but lied to look like a "better" friend... what if Lauren met with a "stranger" INSIDE the complex??? This happened with Jonathan Foster.

Actually, this is possible because we have been told that there aren't any cameras at 5 North. I do wonder about that.
