(thinking out loud to myself)

.....I have often wondered if an IDI, and there were similar and like cases to the JBR case, then why wouldn't someone talk and ***collect the big reward money**?

Surely there must be some DNA sourced and linked to the perp from the other many similar crimes? Surely there must be a witness or a sketch of the perp? Surely there must be someone who would talk about the strange behaviors and patterns of a person they knew---the suspect?

Surely someone would want to cash in on that six-figure reward money?

....and yet, no one has.

(stops thinking to go play Jigidi)

I think JonBenet deserves for everything and everyone to be considered. People don't know the real date of death and experts can't totally agree on what happened first. The psychologist told Kolar that attachment issues were suspected but never got to follow up. The SBP could have happened. Kolar didn't diagnose. He was speculating and making use of new info on child behavior. He called it "acting out", and I thought it was very respectful instead of calling kids monsters or hopeless criminals.

Scarlett, I posted for you earlier the passage from Steve Thomas's book that said their experts analyzed the matter found in JBR's duodenum and found it was a complete match with the pineapple found in the bowl in the breakfast room. You said that information wasn't good enough to prove the ID as a fact. Hm.

Here's my take on it. The M.E. said the matter appeared to be pineapple. Apparently, the police, like you, wanted to be completely sure it was and for that reason had experts analyze it further. The M.E. didn't state that the substance absolutely was pineapple - though he believed it to be - because it hadn't been thoroughly tested yet.
He can't be faulted for not stating in the AR that it absolutely was pineapple in advance of expert analysis.

So, I don't think you can have it both ways -- One can't argue that the expert identification of the pineapple subsequent to the autopsy can be dismissed because it wasn't made in the autopsy, and at the same time argue that the M.E.'s statement that the substance appeared to be pineapple (rather than asserting in advance of expert anlysis that it absolutely was) means that it wasn't pineapple. I think even you must concede that that is not a tenable position.

So you're ignoring, nay, dismissing what Kolar says because he doesn't reach the same position as you on the Touch DNA. Am I right there?

Okay, and you're claiming that you should be able to identify ethnicity from Touch DNA?

Would that not be a complete sample? I don't know, I'm asking.
Also, if it came up as "Asian", aren't there Asians in America as well? Surely that would prove nothing.

Im dismissing Kolar because I don't believe his theory.

There is dna in her underwear that matched the DNA found on the outside of her jammies.

I believe that DNA belongs to the killer. A lot of RDI believe it came from the worker who folded the panties at the factory. So if that were true and it came across as being from a person of Asian decent, That would lend itself to that theory.

I wonder if they know already?? And that is why they cleared the R's.

JR said he did not recall the Whites having served any pineapple.

Both JR and PR said JBR would not have gone downstairs alone that night to eat pineapple.

JR indicated that it was unlikely JBR could have opened the walk-in refrigerator by herself because the door was large, like a walk-in freezer door, and not easy to open.

Supposing for a moment that the forensic experts who analyzed the contents of JBR's duodenum somehow managed to misidentify an anonymous blob of fruit or vegetable matter as a largely intact chunk of pineapple, then we are left with the problem of identifying it, identifying its source, and the opportunity for her to have eaten it.

The smoking pineapple became highly controversial and, as evidenced in this thread, remains so. That being the case, it is reasonable to suppose that if anyone at the White's (or on the way home) that night recalled, or even thought they recalled, anything at all about pineapple being offered in any form, they would have spoken up by now.

Just because someone does not remember something, Does not mean it was not there.

It could have been. In one of the dishes, salads... We don't know..

Another reason I don't think the pineapple means much. WE have no proof she did not eat some at the Whites.

And we have NO proof that she did.

Deductive reasoning tells most of us that the pineapple was found on the kitchen counter in a bowl that has PR and BR's fingerprints on it, and pineapple is later found during the autopsy of JBR's body, that JBR ate the pineapple after she got home from the White's.

JMO

There is no proof in absence of an action. She either did or did not.

I don't care about fingerprints on the bowl and iced tea glass. They are supposed to be there. They lived in the house. That makes no difference. It could have been sitting there and she walked by and grabbed a piece with her fingers as most kids would.

There could have been pineapple at the Whites. We don't know there wasn't. In all this time, That they have not come out and definitively proven it was not there means it is more than possible it would have been. It could have been eaten in a dessert.

ScarlettScarpetta....I don't know who you are but you are the first poster in the years I've been on this website to behave in the manner that you have. If I didn't know any better I would think you were a family member or very close friend of the Ramsey family. You're posts scream denial to me. You don't agree or even consider any other posters' postings to be legitimate to you. I personally don't think you are like the rest of us who are on the outside looking in. I think you are on the inside looking out. I think you have doubts about the Ramsey's innocence and are desperately looking for something, anything to clear them. If I am the only one who sees this then don't reply. If anyone agrees then say something. I come on here because I want the person (s) responsible for this murder to be exposed and the long time/short time posters are doing exactly that! They are trying to keep this alive! You, ScarlettScarpetta are doing nothing more than playing BDI's. You make no sense in your posts. Again...I feel you are a family member or close friend and are in denial and so you lash out. I just had to post this because this is how I feel. To all you posters out there who have brought intelligence and fairness into this THANK YOU! Jonbenet deserves it! To you, ScarlettScarpetta...I hope one day you find the answers you need because obviously you won't find the answers here.

With all due respect, You don't have to agree with his theory. But you can't dismiss actual facts from him, an actual investigator, just because you don't like him. Honestly if you truely wanted justice for JBR then you would open your eyes and look at this case from both sides. You are dismissing actual eveidence from investigators who have looked at the case file. Posters here can't give you this case file. Even if you had a video of a R's doing the crime, I still think you would make an excuse. You are taking the R's statements like it is carved in stone. Many posters have tried to point this out to you but we have a better chance of getting our dogs to speak english. Many people here are keeping this thread alive and trying to have an actual discussion with you but it makes it hard when you play word games and such. Of course they are going to distance themselves from anything that makes LE question their honesty. Come on SS, noone wants to believe parents could do this unspeakable crime. But if it looks like a duck and talks like a duck............

Oh and I don't think they can test the TDNA for ethenticity because it is such a minute amount. With as many lawyers and PI and such the Ramsey's have hired over the years, if it could have been done and proven to be a non-factory worker we would have heard about. You can bet your bottom dollar that the R's PR team would have that all over the news. With all hoesty, look at what the R's are NOT saying, even after all these years and with the release of the GJ indictment. Makes you wonder!! IMO

I have to wonder about all the evidence that was most likely lost that first day. If only the police had searched the house well, If only they had not let every tom dick and harry trample the scene.. People clean up.

The fact that someone cleaned the kitchen and wiped the counters with cleaner.. Think of all the potential evidence.

I bet this case would have been solved much faster without the narrowing of the investigation early and if we had everything we should.

To which facts are you referring? Give us some details regarding the evidence/facts Kolar presents so we can discuss them... Please.

There is a bowl with fingerprints left on the table. It contains fresh cut Pineapple.
JBR is later found to have what appears to experts to be fresh cut pineapple partially digested. This is not complicated.
What is interesting is to what degree you will spin in order to cloud the probability that JBR came home and ate pineapple. For someone who claims that the pineapple does not mean much, you certainly have an interest in denying it.

I am looking at possibilities. I am not ruling anything out. I am looking at anything that could be a possibility.

I am not short sighted, I am not wearing blinders. I see it all. This is the IDI thread so this is the place where we look for alternate solutions to the case.

I looked on Amazon for the book, little Johnny can't tell right from wrong, and it's ACTUALLY a book about keeping your kids off drugs, unwanted pregnacies, and suicide. More propaganda spread by people who only can see that it MUST be the parents..now we got someone reading ouija boards to figure it out..
The other books mentioned are far from "incriminating" too.

I know that LE lied too, just like the no footprints in the snow. There are a Hugh amount of myths that RDIs quote as the gospel.

The pineapple is a non issue, she could have awoken ate pineapple then went back to bed and got murdered in her bed. The pineapple means NOTHING
I agree, and there are other possibilities re: the whole pineapple issue.

Ugh....nothing new I'm afraid.
It's funny to think that's such a long time ago now.

Daughter of one of our friends works part time for her mother in their restaurant. Apparently she's a bit loopy, which is completely understandable.
There was an article printed in 2012 that mentions a "prime suspect", but (obviously) his identity wasn't revealed. Is there any "talk" about who this might be?

This is the IDI thread so this is the place where we look for alternate solutions to the case.
Fair enough. However I fail to see how rejecting the most logical and probable explanation concerning the pineapple presents an alternative solution? The fact that you may desire an alternative solution does not redefine what is the most likely scenario with the pineapple. I would be genuinely interested in hearing some alternative theories that include the commonly held belief as to the eating of the pineapple.

Because some times the most obvious answer is not the right one. That is what got us in this Insanity in the first place.

I don't desire anything. I have no motives here. I am simply looking at all the options and working it from there.

Just because people may all believe something does not make it true. There is plenty in this case that has been long thought of as fact that just was not. Nothing more than a rumor or someone's opinion that has been pushed along as fact.

:clap:I TOTALLY AGREE!!!!!! Thanks for this post! I was feeling like it was just me!

This excerpt from Robert Whitson's book, Injustice, provides more details about the "Amy" case. (Whitson was assigned this case during his tenure as an investigator in the BPD.):

"The victim had a plaque mounted on her bedroom wall containing her formal first name, but the victim's room was dark during the assault. All of the victim's friends called her by a nickname, not her formal name. This indicates the offender did not know the victim and the offender was inside of the victim's bedroom previously. The offender did not wear a mask or try to disguise his voice, which indicates he did not know the victim.

...

The first level doors were alarmed when the victim and her mother went to sleep, with no sign of forced entry. The second story screen door was shut with the main door open. was not allowed to come upstairs to the bedrooms.

...

One hair was collected at the scene, but it did not contain the follicle or root, so DNA testing was not possible. (Note: Researchers at Florida International University are studying a method to obtain a DNA profile from hair without a follicle or root attached.)"
