Iowa numbers today: As of 10:00-11:00 a.m.. we had 1,264 new confirmed cases for a total of 99,620 confirmed cases of which 76,254 had recovered (+319). 6 more had passed away for a total of 1,460. While there were 63 hospitalized again in the last 24 hrs. they are decreasing with 438 total currently. I have noticed on the Iowa covid site that 33 Iowans are hospitalized out of state. They have been reporting this for a while now, but I just recently really began paying more attention to it. There are 23,366 active confirmed cases. Oct. 11: 1,264 new cases, 319 recoveries, and 6 deaths

Thanks for these updates. My family lives in Iowa (not me) and my almost 70 year old mom tested positive about a week and a half ago in Clive. She seems to be doing fine so far, thankfully. She lives with my dad and sister, so I'm hoping they're part of the majority.

Saffron Sax - hope your mother has an easy course. I have an 82 year old family member who seems to have recovered pretty nicely.

Thanks! My family and I pretty much stay in and only go out for appoitments that are needed. We have alot of deliveries to the house! Good to hear your family member has recovered.

There were 66 hospitalized in the last 24 hrs. for a total of 468 (lowest since IMO Tues. Oct. 13). There are 24,066 active positve cases. Oct. 16: 1,330 new cases, 372 recoveries, and 16 deaths

On Thurs. Oct. 22, we had 1,401 new confirmed cases for a total of 110,974 total confirmed cases of which 85,599 had recovered (+976). 15 more were reported to have passed for a total of 1,594. 85 were hospitalized in 24 hrs. for a total of 530.
There were 25,375 active positive cases. Oct. 22: Iowa reports 1,401 new COVID-19 cases and 15 more deaths
As of Fri. Oct. 23, between 10:00-11:00 a.m., we had 1,581 new confirmed cases for a total of 112,555 total confirmed cases of which 86,527 had recoverd (+928). 23 more were reported to have passed for a total of 1,617. 78 were hospitalized in the last 24 hrs. for a total of 536 (new daily record). There were 26,028 active positive cases. Oct. 23: 1,581 new cases as hospitalizations hit new record

Iowa numbers today: As of 10:00-11:00 a.m., we had 1,908 new confirmed cases for a total of 114,463 confirmed cases of which 87,449 had recovered (+922). IMO of the new confirmed cases today, 753 are adults (18-40 yrs.) and 182 are children (0-17 yrs.).
I honestly have not been paying attention to the other age groups, but time permitting will do so. I know the IDPH has 41-60 as middle age, 61-80 as older, and 81+ as elderly. As of today, there are more adults and middle aged individually than children, older, and elderly combined who have had the virus. 101 were hospitalized in the last 24 hrs. for a total of 545 (new daily record).

Here is a breakdown of the age groups from IDPH: Children (0-17)-10,166 (IMO +125); Adults (18-40)-52,406 (IMO +462); Middle (41-60)-31,909 (IMO +406); Older (61-80)-16,544 (IMO +269); and Elderly (81+)-4,722 (IMO +50). There were 85 hospitalized in the last 24 hrs. for a total of 541 (-4). There are 28,066 active postive cases. Oct. 25: 1,312 new cases, 260 recoveries, 5 more deaths
