Is GA Acting or has he really changed?

I think that if George's Sister and BIL are denying it then you can almost bet it never happened. Any of it.

I don't for a minute believe any of it happened. It's all just a defense tactic to get their client a not guilty vedict.

I'd like to think that GA is has changed and is standing up for truth and justice. It's just that there is too much A family history of lying for me to be convinced of it. Time will tell....time will tell!

JMHO
George's response to Baez today seemed true rather than contrived. Although frustrated he maintained his composure, spoke with clarity, and despite Baez ineptness was cordial and cooperative. I'm not sure what to make of his more genteel demeanor in light of some of his outlandish behavior in the past. Yesterday I watched a video of George, Cindy (in between them), and their attorney entering the court house with several reporters shadowing them and asking questions. The lawyer was the only one that spoke. He spoke softly and was quite curteous asking for people to move so they could make their way into the courthouse while off slightly behind him and off to his right George was being mildly harrassed by a reporter holding a microphone.Cindy, without sayig a word, placed her hand gently in George's as she moved to his right placing herself in between George and the reporter. It was beautiful. Maybe they are in the process of change........

George's turning the questioning around and Baez's bumbling is what finally convinced me that it was all an act to try and make George look smart, plotting, and like a hostile control freak who would get insulted and forget that his daughter is on trial for her very life, and instead worry about being accused of sticking on a piece of duct tape to a gas can. I'm not buying it at all. I think the whole entire thing is an act and planned way back. The "affair", the jail letters, the woman who went nuts at the jury selection, all of it.

As well as getting George Anthony on the stand last month crying how he would do anything to save his daughter.

The Anthony's wanting to be in court, and, the DT not wanting them there, etc.

The Anthony's not showing up for jury selection - Baez wanted the jury to see the Anthony's all fresh for the trial, IMO.

It's still waaaaaaay to early for me to believe that any of the Anthony's have turned over a new leaf.

Oh - and I also always thought that Baez was behind all those protesters at the house.
As did L Padilla, but, that's a horse of another color so goes the saying - LOL.

Welcome to the community Sharai !!!
Don't be shy and stay awhile.
You'll love it here.

Thanks for your insight of that video clip that you described - I don't think that I've seen that one, but, then again, there have been so many.
But, thanks just the same!!

It's always great to have differant view points of things.

I didn't read through the whole thread to see if I am disagreeing or agreeing with anyone but my take is that he is one embarrassed, humiliated father and a devastated grandfather. I believe that every time it comes to Caylee and he tears up it's real.

As to his hostility towards JB.. I think he is playing JB's game.. I believe he knows and understands that JB is setting him up as a fall guy and he is using that knowledge as well as his experience in testifying (as an ex detective) to make SURE that he doesn't fall for any tricks.. hence the ridiculousness over the gas cans today.. I was cheering him on all the way and loving how he shot JB down even though it came across as over the top..

When GA was being crossed by the state and said he HAD put that duct tape on the gas cans, my heart sank because I knew that wasn't what he said in the deposition and I was waiting to see if Baez would jump on it... He did and I was thrilled that GA had a good answer (not the same pic)...

I'm with you in regards to Cindy and this entire DT scheme with George, etc.

Once we see how Cindy handles her days "in court", then, IMO, we'll know if they are still towing Casey's line, or, if they have gone all rouge on us.

I'm having a hard time trusting him regarding the molestation accusations. The first red flag went up for me because it LOOKS like GA has changed because he he needs to stand up for himself. I understand this, but I have to wonder why he didn't change because he wanted to stand up for Caylee. For all I know he could have made the decision to change before he heard JB's accusations, I'm just saying that is how it looks.

It really does look like something was very wrong in A family. I don't think we can really draw any conclusions from CA's support of GA. The whole family has been in denial for so long, I don't think that they really know what truth is. Both of them had have affairs, and when I think about GA's employment history, the gambling, throwing his father out a window it really does look like CA has been running around like a chicken with its head cut off trying to make everything look normal and covering for GA and ICA.

I don't know what to think. To me it really looks like ICA was sexually abused. Almost everything that people on tv are saying "proves" that ICA is lying seem to be based on myths or generalizations about survivors and don't match up with my own experiences or those of other survivors I know. At the same time I caught myself making a generalization about ICA not behaving how I think she should act because it differs from my own experience.

I think that misconceptions about how a survivor behaves or should behave will work in the prosecutions favor because ICA just does not match up to many of these generalizations. Which is a god thing, because I don't think ICA's family disfunctions excuse her behavior and I believe she is guilty. Many perps were abused as children, I'm pretty sure mine was. It helps me to understand what happened, but it sure as sugar does not excuse it.

I had a theory ages ago that I'm hoping was at least close to the truth.

That GA and CA were openly showing their daughter support in an effort to get information out of her. The whole truth! It would explain so much of their twisted behaviour, and the conflict they felt and displayed .

I do believe one can love their child while despising their actions.

I will jump for joy if it turns out that GA and CA were really trying to get to the truth, and justice for Caylee, and there really was a method to their madness.

I know, I know.... just let me live in my little fantasy world where there's a somewhat happy ending , a while longer

Hello I am new here and rarely post but I have to tell you I totally agree with you. I bought it the first day but after looking back I think they all sat down and plotted this out a long time ago. When Baez asked him those questions about doing anything for Casey and his answers at the pre-trial hearing were veeerrrry suspicious to me at the time. All they need is one juror to fall for this story. Hopefully none of them fall for this STORY. George and Cindy think they are above the law and they sure don't care what people think of them.

After watching JB question GA today, it's beyond me how the court continues to put up with him. He's totally unqualified for this job and doesn't even believe there's much truth in his own strategy. He stumbles and fumbles his words, oh, strike that, er, ummm, let me go back, did you or rather have you, blah, blah, blah. Then he gets mad when the witness doesn't understand what he asking? He doesn't have his facts straight, he gets called into sidebar and told explicitly "you cannot question him on this photo because it has never been entered into evidence". He goes back to the podium and starts right in again about the very same thing he was just told not to. What does HHJP need? A two by four?

GA leaves the stand shaking his head wondering how the heck his daughter is going to get through this trial with her life with this guy representing her. That said, I believe GA is broken beyond repair at this point. I don't think he can ever forgive ICA for what she's done to the entire family and I'd be surprised if LA felt any different than his father. She's crossed the line with this new set of lies and there's no going back now. You can heal from hurt but every time it leaves a little scar tissue. After this gash heals enough, I think the scars are going to be too thick to ever let his daughter penetrate his heart again.
Baez's court presence is fragmented, he seems to block and derail his own thoughts. The questions he presented to George were a string of loosely associated words with little tangible congruety.I'm amazed by his arrogance ignorant disrespectful attitude and behavior. At best he appears to be an incompetent fool. I am wondering if it is a ruse, if he's on drugs, or if this is his attempt to confuse the jury for the benefit of his client. He seems totally out of his element. Is this normal court presence for a criminal lawyer?

I'm not sure if it's really "changed" as much as "come to terms with" the situation. I have to wonder how many of us could actually believe our daughters could kill our granddaughters. I know I couldn't. I think GA and CA have been through more than anyone should ever have to go through and they are finally passing through the levels of grief enough to be able to deal with the situation from a different perspective. At least I think GA has. It's still a guess on CA until we hear her testify.

ITA I can not even image! My cousin Danny was a murder victim it almost destroyed our family. If his killer would have been a family member It would have been a million times worse.I believe ICA and Baez were behind the protesters, that supposed girlfriend of George's,and CA supposed boyfriend DC.DC worked for Baez first and didn't BAEZ tell him to call him, not LE if he found Caylee.Baez was the one who knew from ICA where she left Caylee to rot.Baez IMO used the parents grief against them .

Does CA stand for Cindy and the DC for the PI who worked for JB and/or the As? By boyfriend do you mean a man that is a friend or a hubba, hubba, wink, wink lets go look for Caylee at the hotel no-tell?

The A's never cease to amaze me. Is there something in the water out there in Florida because it kinda looks like the As are a suburbia version of the Croslins and Cummings.

I don't get it either. I think that he did pretty well in his opening statement until he started talking about the Kronk theory.

Its like he gets overconfident when he is doing well and thinks that all of his ideas are brilliant so he says stuff that probably sound good in his head but not so good to everyone else.

I don't think that its a ruse, but I have wondered if he's on drugs. This is probably the first and last big moment JB will ever have.

I haven't really followed to many other cases, but it always seems to me that those high dollar lawyers really do a good job. JB is a nut, I have no idea why ICA kept him on. I don't understand why that other lawyer doesn't step in.

I've been wondering if ICA would be able to get an appeal because of JB.

I think that the jury will convict ICA no matter what happens. They can play games but its not going to do them any good.

Even if the jury feels sorry for her they'll convict because its too obvious that she killed Caylee.

They can point the finger at GA all they want, but what little "evidence" the DT has on GA is all speculation and none of those speculations can explain away the evidence that the state has on ICA.

Yes CA is Cindy and DC is Dominic Casey the PI. It's rumored they had a relationship. One talking head went so far as to say he knew they did because he saw them at a hotel. IIRC.

The blame dad defense may backfire on her if the jury finds it repugnant which, IMO, is a good possibility.
