Hamas leader refuses to acknowledge killing of civilians in Israel

A senior Hamas leader has refused to acknowledge that his group killed civilians in Israel, claiming only conscripts were targeted.

Moussa Abu Marzouk told the BBC that "women, children and civilians were exempt" from Hamas's attacks.

His claims are in stark contrast to the wealth of video evidence of Hamas men shooting unarmed adults and children.

The engineer of the hospital begs to differ

Engineer Saad Al-Wahidi: “What the occupation claimed was a tunnel opening in the Indonesian hospital, is in fact a fuel store, and the plans presented by IOF itself prove this.”

Yet it seems to have no fuel nozzle on the top of the 'tank' that seems to be missing from that hole in the IDF photos. I do see a ladder going down though. I see the engineer has provided a valid drawing of an underground fuel tank, but no photos of this site that resemble such.

How are they refuelling from it when no tank is inside the hole in the IDF photos? Why the empty space? What's the ladder for? Is the vent only an attempt to try to camouflage it as a 'fuel point' by Hamas?

In any case, what an absolutely stupid place to bulk store one's fuel if that's what it actually was and hopefully the engineer that was responsible for that is long since dismissed for putting patients at undue risk of harm should such fuel tanks fail (it happens!). No very basic minimal safety standards there apparently.

Here's what the top of that 'tank' should look like in the IDF photo of the hole:

Sky News host Caleb Bond has told pro-Palestine supporters to “go and live over there” if they’re so comfortable with calling for Israel’s ceasefire on Gaza. His remarks come after pro-Palestinian protestors were filmed ambushing Anthony Albanese’s dinner in Darwin chanting for a ceasefire on Gaza. “They’re just useful props in all of this,” Mr Bond said. “And you look at that footage there – I’m convinced 90 per cent of the people in that video were white so I’m pretty sure that they’re not from Palestine or have any direct connection to Palestine.“So if you as a white person living in the West feel so comfortable to go there and call for a ceasefire why don’t you go and live over there yourself and see what it’s like – I’m pretty sure you won’t be coming back in one piece.”

30 days after the beginning of the Israel-Hamas war, ex-British PM Boris Johnson paid his respects as he toured the sites of the Hamas massacre in a visit arranged by former Israeli ambassador to the UN Danny Danon'People are losing focus and clarity about what happened. When you see the evidence of innocent families being massacred in their own homes, you need to remind people of the difference between what Hamas' terrorists did, and what Israel is now trying to do,' he said after visiting the devastating scenes of the Kibbutz Be’eri massacre''

Its so hard to believe this after watching many videos of celebrations on the streets of Gaza all while dragging Israelis bodies, spitting on them, urinating on them and beating them with sticks. People celebrating on social media. Holding screening parties to celebrate the massacre. Its getting very hard.

Esp. the bolded. :(

I believe even if the majority of Palestinians do not align with Hamas' cause & beliefs (& this is doubtful, imo) ... this doesn't mean they still don't hate the Israelis with every fiber of their being.
My guess is that many of them do.
Maybe raised that way from kindergarten ; but again that's no excuse.
As an adult they can choose how to act and what they want to stand for.

If the Gazans who do not hate Jewish people would have stood up to the people who were abusing Israelis -- both alive and the deceased people -- then they'd have my respect !
I haven't seen any footage yet of even one Palestinian who tried to protect an Israeli from the howling mobs in Gaza.
If they don't want to be lumped into the pro-Hamas group, then grow a spine and stand up and do something about it.

Snipped for focus.
Holy cow... Good for Caleb Bond to say what some of us have probably been thinking before now !

Oh, does he now?

What a farce.

We’ve already seen multiple links where not only has the head of Hamas admitted in interviews that they use the tunnels for Hamas, but many of the captured Hamas terrorists have admitted that during their interrogations.

We have also seen pictures and diagrams and video of Hamas using the tunnels under the hospital as their headquarters.

It’s not a secret.

''Private audiences in Los Angeles and New York City will this week view Bearing Witness, a 43-minute montage of graphic videos images assembled by the Israeli Defense Forces from the Oct. 7 Hamas terrorist attacks on southern Israel.

Representatives for Golda director Guy Nattiv confirmed the Israeli filmmaker helped bring the graphic video footage — including from Hamas body cams and dashboard cams — to a wider American audience, including decision-makers in the entertainment industry. The film account of atrocities from the terrorist attacks on southern Israel was first shown to visiting politicians and other dignitaries in Israel and select audiences at the U.S. Consulate in New York City.''

''The location and times for the private screenings have been withheld for security reasons.''

They were forcibly removed from Gaza by the IDF (read: Israeli Government) in 2006 when the Israeli Government left Gaza to be self-governing. We all know who they elected.
Nothing is simple in the Middle East.

Though the settlers were forcibly removed pursuant to a peace treaty, prior to their removal the 9,000 or so Israeli settlers living on the appropriated land (deemed "abandoned", "under used" etc etc by Israel) in Gaza were each gifted:

- 400 times the land / living space allocated to a Palestinian (most of the Israeli settlements were agricultural, so the appropriated land included farm fields).

- 20 times the water usage available to Palestinian farmers.

The settlements were supported by settler only roads and buffer zones that made Palestinian travel between the fragments of Gaza territory they still controlled very difficult. This then led to more land "abandonments" as the number of settlements grew.

Netanyahu says shelling won't cease, but it may pause

Israel's prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, maintained his stance Monday against a general cease-fire in the war with Hamas, but he said the door was open to humanitarian pauses in warfare.

Amid pressure by the Biden administration to allow time for humanitarian aid and the safe passage of Palestinian civilians from Gaza's war-torn north, Netanyahu said in an interview aired by ABC's "World News Tonight" that "a ceasefire would be a surrender to Hamas."

But he acknowledged in his first interview with U.S. television since Hamas attacked Israel on Oct. 7 that there have been recent "tactical little pauses" in shelling, and he said more were possible.

[...]

And Netanyahu said a cease-fire would happen in the event hostages are released in order to allow them safe passage.

Common theme, this denial and lack of acknowledgment by Hamas leaders, despite the undeniable proof.
