Yep, but he's not breathing the same air he breathed on all his "vacations" after the murder, or even the same air we do daily. Prison air stinks, bwahaaaaaa.
 
Just a heads up here - as far as I know, the DP hearing is still scheduled for this Thursday the 17th?

Have faith Samiya!! I don't know if you followed Nancy Cooper's case but Brad was arrested in Oct 2008 and his trial is EXPECTED to start in Oct 2010. I expect that Jason's will be well in to 2011 if not later with the huge amounts of evidence/discovery that has to be gone through.
 
Evelyn (my grandmother who was murdered, had your name and actually brought me here) , Michelle and Rylan will get justice in the end. That I am sure of... Michelle is actually speaking to me and telling me to fight for another child right now as I await Jason's trial. No I'm not nuts - I just know that if Michelle were here on earth she would be doing the same. Jason will get his. I am positive of that . IMO

My grandmother and mother are Evelyn's too :) although my nan's gone now :(

Sad mom didn't pass it to me because I love the name!

i would so love to be at the trial but no transportation and its at least 4 hours away.

Thank you babelphissh. I have been caught up in Maria Lauterbach trial and couldn't get away from the office today to go to the hearing. Then this afternoon go into a posting war with the GOLO's at WRAL. One day I will learn to sty away from those freaks and stay here with the (mostly) sane posters LOL. Anyhooooo thanks for posting an update.

I attended the hearing. No surprise. The Fisher's are satisfied with the decision.

Trial date has been set....jury selection will begin 5-16-11 (Judge Stephens presiding)

The DA sent 12,000 pages of discovery to the defense 2 weeks ago.

The judge allowed Maitri “Mike” Klinkosum to remain on the defense team, despite going into private practice in June. Why take $75/hr (court appointed wages)? He is a new rookie attorney with the most high profile firm in Raleigh trying to make a name for himself. Local TV coverage will be extensive, plus a chance to show off for Dateline or 48 Hours is appealing for future business.

Jason lucked out. Klinkoseum is a far better attorney for a murder charge than little Roger Smith. As far as public defenders go, he has a 'dream team', especially with the Wake County Chief PD, Bryan Collins heading the defense.

While the evidence is overwhelming against him, and 99.9% of us believe he did this, I still sometimes find it so difficult to wrap my head around how this individual could so brutally murder his wife... his pregnant wife... such a non-threatening, defenseless girl... with so much rage?!? Just feeling pensive, I suppose. Plenty of people shoot or stab their spouse, but to be as brutal and rehearsed as he was shows the absolutely evil person he is. He deserves the death penalty.
