Now that you mention it... I think there was. IIRC it was on the inside kitchen doorknob...that one would use if leaving the kitchen to go to the garage. Also a blood smear was found on the door or doorknob leading from the garage to where the hose would be on the side of the house.

Not sure. Did you watch the trial? I am in the middle of watching it now. If you didn't watch it, maybe you could do so and whoever finds the info first can post it.

I do know there was unidentified DNA in several places. Not sure if it was male or female.

Didn't realize there was another witness to MY's slaughter (besides her toddler daughter). Looking forward to seeing this (new) testimony at trial.

Respectfully, how do you know the path this burglar took in the house? I don't remember any testimony or evidence showing a specific path they took. And what evidence exists that identifies the gender of the person who cleaned up CY?

Common sense tells me the the path as well as the smear of dirt on the back staircase. Common sense also tells me that the woman in the car would clean up the child, but it might have been the man.

But we were told it's only fair to use evidence as proof of guilt. A man wearing a wedding ring in a soccer-mom type vehicle with a woman in the passenger seat doesn't prove anything other than a soccer-mom type vehicle with 2 people in it was seen driving out of a driveway and onto Birchleaf.

Where's the evidence to prove those 2 people seen in a soccer mom type van were in the house belonging to that particular driveway? Where's the evidence of that "soccer mom type vehicle?" What's the make/model/license? What evidence places those 2 people in that house during the murder?

Yes, there was. That door is the one near the back stairway that goes into the garage that had a broken garage door.

I had not heard of the second blood smear. Can you please provide the link?

I am only up to MF testimony in trial 1.
You said/typed "a female cleaned up the child" almost like a statement of fact, so I wondered if there was something I had not heard (in the posts/thread}.
I will watch for it when I continue...on a "live" trial at the mo though

I have, and I don't recall any testimony that placed a man with wedding ring and a woman with bushy hair inside any property of the Young's, let alone at the murder scene. Well there was some evidence of JY's DNA 56" up the wall near his dead wife's body, with blood spatter around but not on that print. So yes, I guess there is evidence of a man and blockage of blood in that area. And of course there's evidence (in blood no less) of JY's size 12 orbital sole shoes at the scene of the murder. Wonder how those shoes got from his feet (as seen in the Cracker Barrel pics/video the night before) over to his house at Birchleaf.

Otherwise there was no evidence of soccer-mom-type-vehicle occupants in the house, not in MY's vehicle, not anywhere else according to CB. The closest these people in a soccer mom type van appeared to get was the very end of a driveway and then onto Birchleaf, assuming that sighting actually occurred on the morning of the murder itself and not some other day.

But it is not the same. It should be, but it isn't.

Are you thinking that the first attorney gave him bad advice?

No, not at all. I think it was sound advice. It goes to show that the prosecution had no evidence so they used things such as his "silence" against him. The jury needs to have all of it carefully dissected so they can see just how JY was railroaded.

Yes

The investigation concluded this was not a burglary/home invasion and the victim was specifically targeted for a murder.

They may have concluded it, but that does not mean it is factual. In fact, most if not all wrongful convictions originate from the conclusion that the accused committed the crime.

It might be the only thing both sides agree on. Further, both sides believe CY was taken care of by the perp; they differ on who they think the perp was.

Cite? I do not recall the Defense ever arguing that MY was specifically targeted for murder while eliminating the possibility of a burglary.

I don't think this is correct, there was only blood smear on the kitchen door leading to the garage,,,,,

Why not touch her purse? Why not take any of the electronics? To me it was staged. IMO.

Electronics are easily traced. Jewellery doesn't have serial numbers.

Are we even sure that was Michelle's purse on the kitchen floor...I never put my purse on the floor......I am thinking maybe it was a pocketbook or bag that CY played with..it looks empty and there are other bags next to it.
