Here is the complete floorplan
<respectully snipped for space>
There's something a bit off in the plans as the toilet in the master bedroom looks to be a miniature toilet. The purse was on the floor at the end of the counter that is next to the fridge. It was not visible from the stairwell.
That's true, but we also know garbage bags were left out on the kitchen counter that night/morning, which would mean if someone grabbed some garbage bags to dispose of evidence they would have stepped further into the kitchen where they would have been able to see more items in the kitchen. Testimony is that lights were seen on in the home somewhere around the 3:30am - 4am time, which if true, implies whoever was in the house was not engulfed in total darkness. The implication is they could see things.
It really is sickening. The prosecution should be required to call witnesses whether they fit their theory or not. After all, they are supposed to be after the truth.
It was stated that the perp entered the house and used the back stairs. He must have been in the kitchen if there are blood stains on the kitchen doorknob.Was the perp supposed to enter the kitchen first, before the murder, and search for a purse? If so, why? Was the perp supposed to search for a purse after the murder?
No insurance claim was ever filed and no police report from/by the homeowner was made. There is info from non-homeowners provided to the police, but officially the homeowner never claimed to police that anything was stolen/burgled/taken and there was nothing filed with the insurance company for damages from theft.

I find the fact that Michelle would just leave her purse on the floor with a 2 year old in the home not something she would likely do. 2 year olds get into everything, and if Michelle had makeup or anything like that, I am sure CY would be just as curious as any other 2 year old.
But you don't know that. They had gone to bed for the night. What it does illustrate to me is that MY went to bed with no worries or fear of an intruder. An unlocked door and her purse in plain sight. Despite JY claiming he heard noises in the past and SS being spooked that very night she was comfortable and secure in her own home. IMO.
Consensus? There is no evidence that the child woke up in the middle of the night. There is evidence that the child stepped in blood, was in the bathroom, and smeared blood on the walls. We don't know if she washed her own feet.
Two sides? It seems apparently to me that there are many ways to interpret the evidence, not two.
I have 2 small kids, one is 3 and yes I leave my purse on the floor in my kitchen all the time.
Yes, sounds rather cavalier but I doubt that she really meant that. Had she any inkling she would have battened down the hatches to protect her daughter, herself and her unborn baby don't you think? Come to think of it maybe she did and the intruder used his key.Apparently Michelle was unconcerned about intruders. What did she say about it to her friend ... something like ... if someone is going to come in and kill you there's not much to be done?

This one is not nearly as important as Terry Tiller's timeline change, but in another search warrant, they wrote that Jennifer Sproles (meeting) used the word hyper to describe JY. Yet, at both trials, she never said that word, she said a little nervous, leg shaking or trembling a little, but she said he acted normal......
How did they get hyper from that?
That doesn't mean that nothing was stolen. I had a bike stolen and I didn't report it or file a claim, but the bike is still gone. Similarly, Michelle's rings and jewelry are still missing.
My daughter has three children under the age of 4 and everything that children shouldn't access is placed up high, but perhaps Michelle left everything at floor level and was unconcerned about a 2 year old wandering away with her car keys, cell phone, and other personal items.
