Hmmm... Have been watching the trial very closely....and would never have mentioned Eddie lee if Juan hadn't mentioned him (ever so briefly)....just looking under every unturned stone - I guess...
It just seems that Jodi kept many men in her court to turn to when the situation required....
And wondering how complicit they may be in certain situations ?
....

And no women. Very telling, if you ask me.

Good one, TexMex -- I noticed it -- I so wanted her to just start ripping along with more of her lies, but she caught it....

She's so much smarter than Mr. Martinez, isn't she?!

Yep, she's got it all over him. She'll show him who's the smartest one in the room. Grrrrrrr.

She is having such a good time up there. I wonder when she'll realize that she has scrood herself with her yip-yapping and trying to hide her smiles and smirks up there in front of the courtroom and a bunch of folks in TV-land. Where will the smirk be then?

I'm re-watching part 2 and have just reached the point where she's arguing with JM about what factors cause her convenient memory losses (I swear she took so long to answer at one point I thought she was going to say 'I forgot what the question was'!) She actually laughs visibly just at the point Nurmi objects saying this is just a stunt. Yes she's revelling in her position as centre of attention.

Honestly, I would have a hard time urging my child to fess up and accept the consequences if death penalty were an option.

Do you think if she pled guilty to Murder1, the DP might have been taken off the table?

Please correct me if I'm wrong - far from being a legal expert...
If she pleaded guilty, a judge would have sentenced her, right?
And they never give the DP to guilty pleas, do they?

I think she could still get DP. The sentencing could still be done by jury wouldn't it?

have you read minor4th transcription of her version of the murder? it is comical!

I agree there is no shutting up Ms Arias.

I cannot recall for the life of me where she said this (last day of testimony?) but that her story would fit the forensics? Omgosh it does everything BUT fit the forensic evidence!

No, and clearly I need to! Where...please!

why was she smiling in her mug shot?

Oh oh oh...there is a video that will answer that for you! Of course JA has "a few reasons" like always.

A News Junkie? You in the house? I know you have this video at your disposal!

He wasn't asked about this was he? If he wasn't asked by the defense, who called him (right? now I"m not even remembering that), then would that mean JM couldn't cross on that?

Just trying to figure out why that didn't come out in his testimony.

I'm pretty sure he was asked and that's what Jodi was talking about when she said Darryl remembered. I can't remember whether it was on direct or cross, but I think it was Martinez who asked.

IMO that is what a mom with good moral values does when their child does bad things in order to teach your child the difference between right and wrong and why we need to follow the rules.

She is now an upstanding citizen who has given me the greatest joy ever...my grand.
Went thru something similar with my youngest son when he was in high school. He and some other students stole some money from the band hall. When I found out we made him pay it back and apologize. The other students were not held accountable and went on the get in further trouble. My son now has a degree in criminal justice and is a very responsible adult and wonderful parent. I will love my children no matter what, but will always hold them accountable for their actions!

imo is seems you had some control over your child and he also respected you. it appears ja's parents did not have control over her i doubt she respected them. runs away at 17 to shack up with a boy. moo

Would you wait a couple of hours just to get your nails done if you were "anxious" to get on the road? Yet another lie...

Exactly, and it's not like there are not a million nail places in this country. Most cities have one on every block. It's one thing to wait 20 minutes. Nobody waits 2 hours. Nobody.

Just trying to figure out why that didn't come out in his testimony.

He was not asked by either side, so it is really a mystery now. I have to believe that if her hair was brown both times, the defense would have asked him this -- he was their witness after all.

It makes sense that Juan would not have asked him about it during his cross examination because Jodi had not yet testified that she didn't dye her hair for murder prep. I think Darryl has the info, and Juan will bring this out on rebuttal. (Hoping)

So I guess he couldn't cross on hair color if it wasn't brought up in direct then, right?

You're absolutely right, if Darryl had something to support her hair color claim, they would have asked it. Esp since it was at the beginning of her Murder Trip. Oh boy this rebuttal case is gonna be WAY more interesting than the CIC.

I don't know the answer to that. If she had pleaded guilty, I don't know if they would have a sentencing hearing -- but I assume so, and I believe that death penalty would still be available.
