I'm sorry, I just have to say that I don't think it's anyone's intention to tarnish the character of the victim. But there is reality and there is fantasyland. I think it's better to deal in reality, and admit it if the victim had some bad traits...we all do, after all. It's better to admit it and live in reality than to pretend the victim is perfect and create a fantasy. Sorry, I know I'm new but I just had to get that out there.

The "reality" is nobody is perfect. The "reality" is JA and Travis had consensual sex. According to many who knew Travis, he was a good guy. Now, he is dead at the hands of this vicious, horrible, soulless murderer, who is doing nothing buy trying to blame the victim for her willing deeds.

Wiping her nose. Trying to make herself cry. I bet she prepared all weekend to try to be sad when she is so happy he is gone.

Does Jodi have a runny nose, is she crying or pretending to cry!

Appropriate courtroom attire. Note the earrings on the mitigation specialist. They are about a foot long!!:floorlaugh:

She looks like she should be in a Strip Club rather than in a Court Room.....:twocents::twocents:

I see that she still has those super stringy bangs.,

She looks tired and weak.

maybe she is crying because it is her last day to bloviate about the lies...

just my guess.

once Juan gets a hold of her it will be yes or no.

What's up with Nurmi calling her Miss Arias instead of Jodi today? :waitasec:

#JodiArias is handed some papers with messages on then and examines them. She seems extremely agitated and exhausted.

Hi All . . . . .

I have completely worn out a laptop on this trial and the CA trail and had to purchase a new one yesterday. Bear with as I am getting to know my new machine.

We are live in the courtroom - JA is back on the stand to continue the War and Peace version of her life . . . . the uncut version.

Nurmi going back over a few more text messages this morning . . . text w/TA on 2/25 - she was planning on spending time w/TA that day - this is the day she was driving back from seeing Gus Searcy . . . she planned on having sexual activity that date with TA. She was on the road somewhere around Hoover Dam - admit exhibit #442

TA's sisters are in attendance this morning. Second message down she talks about a schoolgirl outfit and the spider man undies - reference the undies she received on Valentines . . .

Was it Mr. A's preference that her "vagina be hairless" . . . yes . . . he said he doesn't like hair (BTW - just a note . . . . all vag's are hairless for future reference but the outer areas are not always)

JA is pulling Kleenex and wiping her nose . . . . conversation ended on same day 30th @ 10:38 . . .. even though it says 17:38 , . . . . "it is Green Witch time"

why did you hang up on him?
he was swearing @ me

want to admit #443. . .
objection - hearsay
approach!

I wasn't going to respond to the post on the last thread, but this has me a little irritated. First, let me say that everyone is entitled to their own opinions, of course. Here's mine. :MOO:

It really bothers me that there are people out there who seem to think that the responsibility for the dynamics of their "relationship" falls completely on Travis. Jodi is an ADULT woman and is just as capable of making the decision to walk away vs. continuing to pursue a man she knows has no interest in a future with her. It goes both ways!

Yes, maybe Travis was using her for sex. Ok. Well, Jodi was using sex to try and stay close to him. Maybe she did think that he would change his mind and "fall" for her, but she could've given up and stopped having sex with him at any time. She even says in her letter that she knew he liked his "bachelor status" or something along those lines. She also says that she's not his "secret lover" but a FRIEND. It seems clear to me that she knew where he stood, but made the CHOICE to continue a sexual relationship with him.

Why is it TA's responsibility to end it out of concern for her feelings? :what: For all we know, he tried and she told him she was good with how things were between them. Anyway, my point is, it went both ways and I don't think it's fair to place the blame on one side.

MOO

I couldn't agree more.

And if anyone who listens to that tape recording still thinks JA is a sweet and innocent victim of TA's sexual advances isn't listening closely. It actually appears that it was the other way around- it was JA who was consistently steering the conversation towards a sexual nature.
