what was the comment she made today about not getting sleep last night? does anyone remember....the judge said to strike that comment....

Not a direct quote but something about her memory not being so good, she didn't get enough sleep. Juan said no-no to that.

The excuses are beginning already.

Hopefully the sleepless nights are too.

I have a feeling since they can't link her to a gun at all, she will say she did NOT shoot him and she has no idea who did. She will maintain she did not do that.

:what: THAT will be a "BOMBSHELL" moment, for sure, if it happens!

I do think she'll say she didn't want to besmirch Travis's reputation and say bad things about him which is why she didn't call the police (or anyone) and pretended she didn't kill him. She was still being the dutiful one, protecting him, even in death.

It wouldn't surprise me. Maybe she'll revive the ninja story while she's on the stand. Or maybe she'll blame Napoleon.

IMO She and her lawyers do not understand that sometimes it's much more beneficial to cut some of your losses. It's not believable to blame Travis for everything like they've chosen to do. From the moment they met, HE approached her and pursued her and made her break up with her boyfriend because she was a pious monogomous sweet innocent girl. It's all too much. I understand the strategy but they've screwed themselves with the distortion of reality.

Sorry, that was a bit of a tangent not really responding to your post!

ITA. There is also far too much evidence of her conniving and manipulating for it to just be a "wash" in her favor. Never say never though. We could have another pin-hole-jury here.

I'm out of faith on the system. I hope this one turns me back around again.

so far she is up to the shower bit and says "I have no gun. I have no knife."

she basically gave up the knife (her version.. which I don't buy)
1) in bedroom cause Travis used it to cut rope
2) from the house (butcher block)

but what is she going to spin about the gun? (she denies robbing her grandparents)

I think that there is a possibility that she is going to say that she ran into the closet to get away from Travis and saw it in the closet.

She's going to say that the gun was already there. And, really, no one can say if Travis had gotten a gun somehow or if he was an owner. The fact that the gun was "already there" is not going to be as much of a problem for her as where it went after the murder.

Her whole testimony is totally rehearsed including her little comment today about not getting enough sleep and her memory failing. Doesn't mean the jury doesn't buy it.

There have been some offhand references to this, but nothing concrete that I recall. She told Flores that she had his pin number or bank account password.

I speculated at one time that Jodi had taken money out of his account and her murder deposits were putting money back to cover her theft -- she tells a different tale, but I still think it's possible or even likely that she took money from Travis. In one of the messages today, he said rather sternly that she better start paying him back, right around the time he was calling her a sociopath, liar and saying he had never been so betrayed - might have been referring to something like this.

Very interesting… When I heard that she was doing that I assumed (speculated) that she was tracking where he was spending his money… If he was taking other women out, and where, etc.

ITA. She was different today. Very much less sure of herself, and stumbling noticeably with her answers. Nurmi also seemed different today. It appears to me that they are not getting along (MOO). He seemed almost annoyed with her at times, and she seemed somewhat uncooperative.

Despite the solid evidence the prosecution had against her, Casey Anthony and Baez were almost always in lockstep. These two are "off". I understand why they didn't let Nurmi resign from the case as far as they were into it, but if an attorney and his client are not "getting along" is that any basis for appeal? I've read here that the attorney has to be provably remiss in his legal representation for ineffective counsel to be a successful appeal, but IMO he's sure not doing her any favors if he don't like her.

Maybe the verified attorney's here could provide some thoughts on that?

She said [ paraphrasing] that Nurmi appears to be setting up a type of scenario where we now see JA as the battered woman who is in denial and who does not even realize that she was mistreated. So their little tense interplay is supposed to paint that kind of picture for us. I agree and I hope the jury does not buy it.

Were those CD's ever found in Travis's office? I wonder if Jodi had put all the text messages, prior pictures, and the audio from the unauthorized sex tape on a CD, then played it for Travis in the office. Maybe she had promised to come and bring him all this stuff she was using to blackmail him? If that is the case, maybe he did throw it at her head? During her testimony today, she said the CD was scratched, the photos were thumbnail size, and she had promised to get Travis the originals. Wonder if she used it as a threat for Cancun or just in general?

I don't believe they ever went back upstairs together. I think Travis tossed her to the curb and she snuck back in while he was in the shower. JMO

I doubt all of that.
