If the .25 cal was a semi auto, in order for her story to fit the gun would have had to be loaded and a bullet in the chamber. Who would store a gun that way? If the bullet wasn't in the chamber she couldn't have simply pulled the trigger in order for it to fire, instead she would have had to *advertiser censored* it (not sure if that's the correct term) or pull back the top in order to load that bullet into the chamber. That doesn't sound accidental to me.

Is Katie Kool-aid the pretty blonde on Dr. Drew?

No, that is her friend though that she met at the trial. She talks to her almost each time she is there at the court.

I think our Katiecoolady was actually sitting next to her in back row of court today with red top if I am not mistaken.

Our Katiecoolady actually has a different name which we are not supposed to use here.

Not all defense teams read WS but some surely do. I saw it personally, as in-person, in a courtroom, during a murder trial, by a defense team member.

BOZ BOZ BOZ :great:

LOL, that was a great moment when Prosecutor BOZ called out that dude about posting here. :laughcry:

Ahhhhh, yes Maddie & Tiger -- Oh, what a feeling, as they say. Made my day.

Another good one, our BOZ!

We have to remember the timeline here...

It all happened in 1.5 mins...

IMO he WAS shot first BUT the other heinous wounds happened virtually immediately after...

So no chance for "significant intercranial hemorrhage"... or clot found...

BECAUSE HE WAS ALREADY BLEEDING FROM BEING NEARLY DECAPITATED!!!:banghead:

I know that guilt by association has its limits; however, I can't ignore the fact that at the time she murdered Travis Alexander, Jodi Arias's mentor was Gus Searcy.

Otherwise, I assure you, we would have never heard of this guy.

Now that you mention it, Mr. Searcy has some issues with people who "bullied" him in life. I found that an interesting word usage on JA's part, when she described her adult lover as someone who "bullied" her.

Jodi said she was stooped down next to the shower and dropped the camera, caught it on the way down, then lost it again and it hit the mat while rolling off onto the tile floor. If she were stooping what was she 2 foot from the mat. What kind of damage could she have done in such a short distance? I mean, really. Plus didn't she say she was taking the pictures from a couple of feet away. Aren't mats up against the shower tub for you to step out on? I would think Travis would want to see if there was damage to it first, unless he felt she did it deliberately. jmo

If it survived the washing machine, it certainly would have survived a short drop to the bathroom floor. And yes, one normally has a bath mat outside the tub or shower.

Another fabrication, of course.

:pinocchio:

Absolutely laughable. Run out of the bedroom, down the stairs and out the door. Her stuff was already in the car (she says) so go! The naked Morman man isn't going to run out of his house naked to hurt you. What an insult to the jury to tell them such a tale.

Yes...but she had to protect all of the little children from him. It was all up to her ..

I apologize, I had to visit my grandma tonight so couldn't follow. Did the prosecution get to ask any questions after Nurmi was done or did they end for the day?

Nope....:) hopefully tomorrow! They broke for the day, but judge and attys had closed door meeting....

NO, Nurmi ended the day saying that's all I have. Then the judge sent the jury to the juror room saying court resumes tomorrow at 10:30. So we assume Juan will be up with Jodi first thing.

Thanks! I want to take tomorrow off of work now! This is what I've been waiting for!

Jodi claims she stopped in TA's closet to jump (apparently higher than Michael Jordan) to grab a gun on the top shelf on TA's closet. And yet she couldn't just continue running out of the closet through the bedroom, down the stairs, and out of the house...you know...in fear for her life? She took the time to go get a gun (and as we all know there was no 'gun' that TA owned).

How does anyone reconcile that story and decide she was acting in self defense? Even if you want to believe this chick and are bending over backwards to do so (much like JA bends backwards during interrogations), does any of that actually make sense? It's so painfully bad it's laughable.

Jodi Arias is playing this trial like she plays her love life .. All promise and hope for something real which ends in a big fat thud!!

No that's exactly what I thought of this prosecutor before I later realized I had this faux-crush. He really is just that good, and his reputation bears it out.

He is the best prosecutor I have ever seen in action!
It's ok I had a lil faux crush on BOZ and David Walgren, to name a couple. :great:

Part of Jodi's testimony today was truthful -- from the time after the murder description, she says she did a bunch of things to cover up that she had been at Travis' because she didn't want anyone to know she had been there or know that she had killed Travis. This part of her testimony sounds truthful - doesn't help her defense at all and shows a great deal of consciousness of guilt, but it seems truthful

sooooooo I was kinda ticked today after listening to her for 7 days, and all of a sudden she has memory loss. I actually went away from the computer and baked a 4 layer cake!!!! We haven't eaten it yet, but I feel better now. When I put on 5 pounds, I will definately blame that on Jodi too!!!

Anyway, while I was baking, I decided that I'm glad that she didn't say more. I'm glad that TA's family didn't have to listen to her try to justify the stab wounds, and definately glad they didn't have to listen to her try to justify why she would cut his throat in the way she did. I was brought to tears when they showed his sister, Sam, today sobbing. I can't wait until tomorrow. I want to see Juan kick some @ss.

I suggest that Jodi stocks up on diapers before tomorrow morning, she might need them ;-)

I'm not going to disparage her for these things. College is not for everyone (TA didn't go to college). I know countless people who can't be single. Doesn't really have anything to do with her being a vicious killer.

Word. I went to college and grad school. I made better money waiting tables.

Travis didn't go to college either. He did have a nice house but he had borrowed against it several times and was in danger of losing it. Per his own words and easily searched records. But so what?

I think it is better to let the facts of this grisly murder stand on their own merit than to disparage the jobs of decent, hardworking folks. Nothing shameful about being a waitress.

MOO

Thanks, that makes me feel a little better! If I get their lessons really prepared for them tonight maybe I can work around it. They wouldn't mind, that's for sure. They'd be like "Break time again?" :great::rocker:

Give 'em a snow day!

So Travis is so trusting of everyone that he leaves his front door unlocked most of the time, but has a gun hidden in his closet?

Yesterday on one of the HLN shows (JVM, NG, or DD), a friend of TA's was on there and he said that he was positive TA didn't have a gun because he (friend) would take TA out with him to the shooting ranges once in a while and if TA purchased a gun, he would have said something.

And she seriously discussed this;

She found herself planning a camping trip/gold mining excursion with a group of friends, in which she was the only female. So her solution is to buy a gun to take with her, just in case. What about not going along on the trip, if she thought she might need a gun to defend herself from her 'friends'?

I know! Another funsy trip with some guys. Nothing had changed except now Jodi was a legal owner of her own gun, and she likes men less. She doesn't trust men like she used to when she only back spaced into their privacy and their lives.
