I thought I noticed a distinct PAUSE when he said that. Usually she started talking before he finished his question. But in that instance, there was a bona fide silence for a second...

Since TA wanted an agreement to the terms of the car and insurance, I am somewhat surprised he did not get a Prepaid Legal attorney to draw up a professional agreement instead of the email agreement. Though an email agreement might also be binding.

A contract can be written on a napkin and IF it contains all the elements required by law it is binding.

Insecure people do things for attention/affection. She could have been really sexually aggressive and not insecure or really sexually aggressive and insecure. Don't know which in this case, but I think insecure.

They did! Did you hear her tell the detective? Why would she said something that is so humiliating if it wasn't true? She was still on her "I have no idea who did this" story when she told him.

Obviously, she's a liar. But I believe that part is true.

I agree that she probably thought she was getting a great guy. He was probably building her up in the beginning with his motivational stuff, but maybe when he put her down and got her to do things in bed, it tore a little bit of a hole in her insecure psyche. If all who knew him really admired him and thought he was close to perfection, that would have made her feel crazy. Only she would have seen the parts that were imperfect. I think this only because it happened to me. But it does sort of make sense with their history and things we know so far.

I am not saying he deserved what happened, but I am trying to shed a light on what her thoughts could have been.

I don't think she thought she was corrupting him.

I was in an abusive marriage for a decade with someone dx'd with comorbid personality disorders (I've shared on here a lot). It used to drive me insane that so many people adored my husband - they thought he was funny, charming, and gregarious. And he was when you weren't married to him and didn't live with him.

For me that's the difference in this case. Jodi was living in another state. She'd dated Travis for only a few months. I think in this case it's a lot more likely his friends, family, and co-workers that he saw regularly for long periods of time knew him better than she did.

I'm not claiming Travis is perfect either because really who is...but I do not believe he abused her. I believe they had a tumultuous relationship likely, in part, because she is afflicted with a personality disorder (or more) all her own. For those who've had a mother, brother, or lover with PD...well, I don't really need to tell you it's its own special brand of hell.

ETA: Oh. I don't believe Jodi was corrupting Travis either. I do, however, believe she was manipulating him. Given Jodi's track record of truth telling so far I find it impossible to believe her in what she's stated so far of Travis. MOO

And might I add that dogs are put down in a humane way. Travis was slaughtered so he was treated worse than a sick dog.

Well I don't know her for one. You don't have to be a murderer to be a psychopath. Is OJ Simpson a psychopath? If this was a complete stranger, maybe, but right now, I see a woman scorned out of control and hell bent on revenge of the worst kind. Pre-meditated murder. Just like OJ.

Maybe seeing some photographs of him in the shower and knowing how much went into the activities leading up to the murder and what happened since. A lot of what she is doing is OJ like to me. So if he is one, then I guess I see it.

I just don't know enough about this sort of person. That's all.
