Thanks for posting that here.

I think that's ridiculous. Is he going to stay at that couple's house until next year? Hope they don't mind!

And if he gets off on a technicality, that would be awful. I don't think it would even be good for Josh as it would always be hanging over his head, and if he's guilty of it he definitely needs the proper treatment.

I wonder what treatment will be available? Will he go to a federal facility?

I have not found an exact answer to where people found guilty of a Federal Crime serve their time, Federal or State Prison. The below link gives answers to many inmates questions. The only thing I found is that the Judge recommends a prison but it does not mean that’s where the inmate will go.

An example was given “The judge recommended FPC Oxford, so how did I end up in FPC Duluth?

Judicial recommendations for designation have no binding effect on the BOP. Although such recommendations may receive consideration, formal designation decisions are made by local Community Corrections Managers (CCMs) and confirmed by the BOP Regional Designator.”

Here is some more information on Federal Prisons and which ones take sexual offenders. The prisons are rated low, medium and high. It also answers other questions

My understanding is the sentence of a federal conviction is served in a federal facility. There are several sources from attorney blogs and pages stating such, but none are MSM nor approved sources. JMO

At this point, the attorney's blogs hold more credibility than MSM, IMO. So, their posts are good enough for me. Thank you for sharing.

That is my understanding as well, Federal conviction is served in a Federal facility. However, I do know that a State sentence can result in the convict being transferred to serve their time in a Federal facility should the circumstances warrant it (for instance, Drew Peterson from Illinois was transferred to the Terre Haute Indiana Federal Prison due to a multitude of reasons).

Josh Duggar might benefit from hiring a "prison consultant". There are plenty available. Hopefully, someone will suggest this. Josh Duggar is probably the one person who needs this more than anything.

He should start buffing up, spend time working out, serious self defense classes might help as well. The problem Josh will have in prison, is that he is really not going to fit into any "group". Except the "Pedo" group. Great. He is up for a rough time.

It'd be more practical if he invested in a course on how to make shivs, given that it appears he hasn't worked out a day in his life. Suddenly working hard to get in shape will be a stress on his heart, plus, prisoners can and will, given the chance, gang up on one person to take them out.

I forgot there is such a persons a prison consultant! Josh will not consult one though. IMO, his parents, his wife, and others have been telling him he will get out of this crime too. Don’t worry all will be okay. IMO I think they all in for a rude awakening!

I agree. The Duggars are probably having a prayer circle every night. It is going to take a miracle to get Josh out of this mess.

I’m inclined to disagree on the prison consultant - I think they’ll be advised to get one, and will hire one. They’re adept at decreasing their tax liability and contract negotiation. They’re not *all* Kool-Aid and pickles, and yes - I will be stealing that!

As an aside…it wasn’t Kool-Aid at Jonestown. It was Flavor-Aid :)

About time. Counting On couldn't survive another scandal, and definitely not one of this proportion. Views and ratings had been abysmal for a long time anyway, so pulling the plug was the smart (not just morally correct) thing for TLC to do. The adult kids have been making their own money, not controlled and distributed by JB, through Youtube channels and product sponsorships on Instagram anyway. Works better for them.

Finally! The plug is pulled on the Duggars. And Josh is going to drain JB's savings...a trial in November? Cha ching, cha ching for those billable attorney fees.

It is sort of ironic. Josh always seemed to be the "favored" child. Now, not only has he derailed the TLC money train for the 2nd time, but he is also costing JB a LOT of cash.

Turns out, denying him consequences early on creates consequences for the patriarch! <modsnip>
