It appears to me he parked where he did because all the center spaces were taken. Seeing as he backed in to the parking spot, maybe he parked taking up both spaces because he sucks at backing up? I'm not sure why he didn't drop her off at the front of the store, but he certainly had no problems driving closer to the store to pick her up.

I thought that too. The only empty spaces between him and the store are handicapped spots.

Where he parked, you are able just to pull in (been there-done that), notice all the cars are facing the same way. There is no curb just painted lines for parking spots. I think he parked there, as the center spots are usually the busiest. Where he chose to park is in view of the door,

I think MR really liked his timmies since that really looks like a Tim Horton's cup in his hand on the date video footage. JMO The video surveillance and bank records chapter will be coming up after TLM's cross-examination. FWIW, if MR drove with his left arm sitting on top of the steering wheel, does that indicate something about handedness? I think he's a lefty but that's MOO. The esso footage again: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news...llance-video-in-stafford-case/article2361397/

Not when you're driving a stick shift. Your right hand is on the gear shift, ready to shift up or down, especially when turning through a parking lot.

I used to smoke, I couldn't do it comfortably with my non dominant hand.

I think MR parked on the edge so that he had less sides of his vehicle facing the lot and he could keep watch if people looked in from the front windshield. I'm sure he would have been worried that anyone could hear if Tori screamed. Did he play loud music while TLM went in the store? Did he yell at Tori when he was parked there? JMO

I'm also a smoker and right handed. When I'm in the driver's seat of a car, my smoke is in my left hand. When I'm in the passenger side, it's in my right hand, always by the window or outside of the car.

You are much more talented than I was. I actually tried to do that but it was akward to flick with my left and I didn't feel like I had a secure hold of the cigarette anyway.

I can't stand the smoke filling up inside the car. I had to learn to use both hands. :)

I don't think you can pull in to the spot MR is in, there's a road behind him, notice the big tractor trailer parked there?

ETA - the video, cars are driving down the road too

Yes you can just pull into that spot, I have done this myself. Behind him at the top of the pic is where you drive into Home Depot off of Woodlawn road.

"If" he suspected cameras, he assumed he was out of camera range or too far away to be IDed. Then again I don't think he ever thought about the cameras. Especially the one in the gas station kiosk. Who would NOT know there would be a camera there. Camera are always on or in the vicinity of ATM machines:blushing:

OIC, didn't realize you were local. Thanks.

I'm right handed and I smoke. When in a car, I'm used to holding the cigarette in my left hand to let the smoke out of the window (or in this case the open door). This doesn't take any dexterity at all.

We learned 3 years ago that this wasn't his car. Perhaps the owner frowned on getting much smoke into it.

Here is a picture of him at the trial, apparently taking notes with his right hand:

Frankly, I don't think this is even going to come up at the trial.

AG: I already know this isn't his car. The owner stated that on here. He isn't driving and is just sitting in the car. I don't see a pen or pencil in his hand either in that court drawing. JMO

Can anyone tell if MR is parked in two spots at the HD? I can't see the lines. I wonder if he really did suck at backing up or if that was something he would do so that people could never park next to his car for some reason. I could see why he would do that during this phase of the crime, though. JMO

flipflop, if you have time, would you be able to show where the front door is and where MR is parked in that video? I'm not disputing your knowledge of the area, I'm just confused by the camera angle and the overheard view here on google maps. Don't worry about if you can't. TIA

Ok I was looking over pictures again and I noticed before, MR is wearing a white hoodie under his jacket. But upon further inspection, if you look closely, you can see that that white hoodie has a black hood with a red interior. I am highly suspecting that hoodie also has black stripping down the sleeves. That being so, it is more than likely the hoodie MR was wearing in the video, captured at the gas station, the day Tori was abducted. It will be interesting to see if the Crown retrieved this hoodie or if he disposed of it along with his other clothing along the route home. MR probably removed it during his assault on Tori. I thought I read in a tweet, TLM stated MR was naked from the waist down, only wearing a t-shirt.

I would imagine his hinky meter was screaming at him once TLM was taken in on April 12th and he did some dumpster diving and retraced his path back to gather any evidence which was toss out along the road way . Of course he didn't worry about TLM's shoes because he knew LE could ID her already from the CASS video. Little did he know LE would eventually seize other videos to nail him. Another case of how a criminal thought he could pull off the perfect crime, only to find out he really wasn't all that brilliant in covering his tracks. I would like to know if LE were able to clean up that picture of his car at the gas station to show it is MR driving. I guess it's not a big deal if they have better more clearer videos to show the jurors. Eg: ATM and the PetroCan videos. :rocker::woohoo::moo:

Here's the full view of his white hoodie. The sleeves are actually all black, with red, black and white cuffs.

That picture didn't work. Here's the link.

Some people with nice cars like to take up two parking spots just so they don't get door dings from other peoples' cars parking too close to them. I don't think MR was worried about that though as his car was ready for the wreckers. Wasn't he calling around to some wreckers to see if someone would take his car? :waitasec::moo:

After Tori was murdered.

No that is MR is a black jacket with a red DC t-shirt. You can see the hoodie although it's unzipped and open. But thanks for that info AD. The picture I posted is a better one as he has the hoodie zipped up. HTH :seeya:

Actually, your picture it's zipped up and under a black coat. The picture I posted, it's hanging open to shoe the t-shirt underneath. You can see on the inside of the hoodie where the DC logos are attached. Same black hood, same red inside the hood. HTH
