Jurors are back in courtroom 8A. The state and the defense both rest their cases in the penalty phase for Mark Sievers. They'll go into closing arguments now, each side said they'll need about 30 minutes. Then the jury will deliberate.. life or death? #SieversTrial

Hamid Hunter for the state will deliver the state's closing argument. He's prepared a PowerPoint like he did for closings during the guilt phase of trial. @winknews
Hunter reminds jury that victim impact can't be used during the penalty phase as a reason to make a decision. State offered no additional argument other than openings that they stated what aggravating circumstances are alleged. #trialtweets#TeresaSievers#MarkSieversPenaltyPhase
ASA Hunter for the state is listing the aggravating factors, or reasons, why Mark Sievers should be put to death for planning his wife's murder. The state says murder was done for money and was "cold, calculated, and premeditated". #SieversTrial@winknews

Jurors must agree one of the aggravating factors was proved beyond a reasonable doubt and outweighs mitigating factors presented by the defense to recommend the death sentence for Mark Sievers.

In an interview earlier in this case, someone mentioned the ripple effect. A full gallery in the courtroom, supporters for all sides of this case. It's clear the ripple that things like crime, murder, death have. The loss of life is something you can feel here. #courtroomthoughts
