I hope against hope that this guy is the one. But, I don't want to hear in a few weeks, "The confessed killer...indicated Patsy's involvement...John Ramsey was uninvolved and cleared..."

I know EXACTLY what you mean....I don't know about this guy...something just isn't clicking...I remain VERY skeptical.
 
CNN is saying Karr revealed that he drugged JB, then had sex with her before he strangled her.

Was there evidence of drugging? Where's his semen?
 
I am also very skeptical but I am also hopeful. How would he get from Alabama to Boulder without his wife knowing he wasn't home.. ?? It was Christmas Eve/Day when this happened. I HOPE he is the one and their will finally be justice for JonBenet.
 
I just watched, for the umpteenth time on Tivo, Karr's responses to the reporters' questions. Something doesn't seem right.
He doesn't have an attorney with him so how would he know just when to refuse to answer certain questions. Why only answer questions that aren't detailed? Seems to me that he only answered questions that wouldn't back him into a corner...wouldn't need details. Actually, he only answered the questions that made it obvious to anyone listening that it is he who killed her. The questions that would need details, that would definitely put him in that basement with JBR, he didn't answer.
Think of the questions he didn't or refused to answer....why those questions? If he was so quick to spill the beans that he was with her when she died, why not answer all the questions that were thrown at him? Dunno, something is just not sitting right in my gut.

Yes, to me, in my opinion, he's very effeminate.

I think he's lying. He's already made conflicting statements, first that he drugged JB (no drugs were found on autopsy), had sex with her and accidentally killed her, then that he intended to kidnap her for ransom but things went awry and he accidentally killed her. He would not be the first to confess to a crime he didn't commit - think Henry Lee Lucas. I do want to add, though, that this guy is NOT a gentleman by any standard.
 
If the parents were guilty of killing her the DNA found would have matched them. It didn't. Let's see if the DNA matches this guy. I think it will. I feel sorry for what the media has done in this case. Of course neither parents were never charged, if the DNA evidence matched they would have been charged and found guilty.
 
anyone find it bizzare that there were no handcuffs? i thought it was strange that they didnt have an atty there for him myself. i know someone was being kinda funny about this but i swear i thought of the possiblity of JR paying someone to take the fall......im not really decided on who i think did it, im trying to keep any open mind.
 
Click Bolder TV news. Channel 9 comes up. (I didn't bookmark the site, sorry.) The legal analyist for Channel 9 is skeptical, too, so it isn't just a few of us who are asking hard questions.

It is Thailand; I don't think there are a plethora of American attorneys available.

And oh yea, it's Thialand their justice system isn't quite what ours is.

My experience with pedophiles is that they are congentital liars. They will never, NEVER admit to what they do with children. The only possible motive for confession for these slimeballs is 1) they are remorseful (rare), and b) they can benefit from it in some way (the norm). This guy's behavior leads me to think he's lying. Sure, he's a pedo ont eh run, but he's not JBR's killer. He just wants to be. I don't doubt he's got a very detailed & sick sexual fantasy life that revolves around this child and her death. Most telling is that when he talks he looks off to the side, avoiding eye contact, the tell-tale sign of a liar. Vinnie Politan seems pretty skeptical of this guy as well. He's a narcissistic sociopathic pedo who craves the attention and "glamor" of being JBR's killer. He's playing the media.
 
Hello all! Wow - some news, eh? And yes, it broke in the Gulf, too - saw the live DA Lacy's press conference. (I really wonder WHY they called a press conference, when in fact it was really a press STATEMENT that confirmed Karr is an official POI.) Nothing else could be said apart from a million thanks to Royal Thai Police and 'excellent work by our men on the ground'. Personally, I found the PC a bit too much of 'we, we,we...' and not enough about 'him, him, him...'. Could LE be shileding their faces from possible eggs? Just my thoughts ...

I'm glad similar comments appear in this thread. Something is not right here. Oh, I don't for a second doubt Karr is a child sex offender and so long as he is off the streets and dealt with - excellent. His website CV's (think they're both gone now...) listed and detailed looking after 3 kids - 2 little girls and a young boy all under 10. He detailed about bathing them, putting them to bed and reading to them among his duties. He's been roving the renowned child-sex abduction countries and regions for the last few years: for that alone, lock him away, I say..

He looks thin, pale and ill to me - on the ABC website, he actually looks as though he might have some serious transferable disease, imo as well as looking like a deer facing the headlights.

Stalkers exist and they're all sick: chronic infatuation, attention and notoriety seekers. Could even be revenge on his own family, esp as his father even thought his son might be dead. Naturally I'm hoping they have the killer, but I am going to wait this one out. His wife says they were together. For the time being, I'll listen to the sane, not to criminals - they all liars.

That's all :crazy: nevertheless as someone else wrote: this case has sure seen some real wackos. Bi all! :)

Count me as a member of the Cynical Club.....this guy could be facing some serious prison time in Thailand. Which prison would you rather be in - one in Thailand or one in the United States? He's lying to save his own life and his performance on TV was the worst I have ever seen...

Not in Thailand but close enough - did anyone see Midnight Express? YIKES! :eek:

I want to know if there was a link between the families. If not, how did he track her down - certainly not impossible, but he'd have to have been OBSESSED with her in order to follow her from the deep south to Denver and I would think someone would have been suspiscious had he been that focused on her back then. His ex-wife has been quoted repeatedly saying he was with her at the time of the murder and it sounds like there's no love lost so she's not protecting him. Obviously he's a child molestor, but I just have to wonder why he would have tracked her down in Denver? Certainly the beauty pangents would make the family easier to find, but I also have no doubt the perv could have found a suitable child closer to home. Was he involved in the pageants at all even as a follower of them? That might explain why he would track her down. His ex has also said he followed her case and that of Klass VERY closely all the time, so he certainly could have come up with a "good guilty story". Supposedly he knows details that haven't been released ever, but they haven't presented them.

I don't know, there are so many questions to be answered.

I was thinking the same thing. I have a friend who has aids. He's very thin, pale and frail looking. It's the first thing I thought of when I saw him on TV this morning. This is JMO!!! I am in no way trying to start a rumor. Maybe this is the reason he wants to get back to the US, not because he committed a crime in Bangkok, but to see his family.
