Kanye is an a$$ to be sure but...
Puleeze. How did Kanye get on stage? If you are not presenting or getting an award, why would you be let back stage? Does not matter "who you are" there is security all over the place. Try going to an award show and try going back stage.
I'm not saying Taylor Swift knew about what was going to happen. But, they could have gone to commercial...got him off stage and let Taylor continue. I think this was allowed by MTV because each year(last year it was sasha cohen putting is butt in M&M's face)they need something to happen for ratings.
It is too much of a coincidence that Kanye was showing up on Jay Leno's new show, that next night. The problem is that bad press, is still good press in this world.
I am sorry for Taylor too...but I am sure all her fame and millions will help her get though this...she'll be fine. I am a cynic when it comes to hollywood, the music industry, TV in general. Taylor will end up benefiting from all the press.
And, "hip hop" culture, is not black culture. Black people have a long, proud and rich culture that comes from the motherland to us all: Africa. I understand where hip hop came from too...born out of the frustrations of being black in America. Real rap used to say something: now it is just another way for the industry to make money. The kids today who are "rapping" have no idea of the history behind it, nor any respect for those who came before them and what they had to endure to even be heard, let alone respected.
Kanye is a sell out, and he doesn't even do that well.

And I feel horrible for Taylor, and you see what kind of backlash it caused.
Can you imagine how us "Louisianians" felt when he spouted off 5 days after Katrina???

I can't even imagine what you all must have felt. Kanye was busy dishing up hate while people were suffering- he seems like a hateful little man.
I felt really badly for Taylor too, I am so glad that Beyonce was graceful (as Mike Meyers was in the Katrina video).
As a side note, I'm glad you're here and survived Katrina. :blowkiss:
