Folks of "The Greatest Generation" , as it has been called, who likely lived through or served during wars in our country , are hardly going to give up on ANYTHING in two hours. Know that there are some older folks on the jury that have been through so much in their lives that we cannot even imagine. When I think of the resolve of my Grandfather, and knowing the age of the gentleman that posed the question....I feel good about this. It was perfunctory. They were reading the jury instructions, mindful that the judge had just called everyone together to clarify a point she had inadvertently left out. They do not want this all coming back on appeal. They didn't want to put the family through another trial because they did not understand the technicality of something, as the Casey Anthony jury CLEARLY did not understand the definition of "reasonable" in reasonable doubt and will be forever scorned over their laziness in their verdict.

They will come to a decision. It will be the death penalty. They have been with the family from the beginning. They are with them now. They voted guilty. They voted proven to it being especially cruel. They are going to do their duty and follow the law. They are coming back with DEATH as their verdict. I am claiming victory for this family right now as I pray. I have a very calm sense of surety, and I always trust that little voice that tells me things are going to be OK. I want to thank Katie for helping everyone remain calm.

Justice for Travis and this beautiful family. They are America's family now.

It's impossible to know whether the court Twitter or the judge got the question right. Hopefully today we'll have clarification at some point. If not, it doesn't really matter. The only thing that matters is whether the jury's last word is death, life, or hung. If it's a hung jury, so it goes. Let's look at the long game.

I am confused by Katie's post. Who is it who actually had hold of that juror note so that the person could quote the entire note, including knowing which juror signed it?? If the note wasn't read by the judge in open court, how can anyone know what exactly the note said? tyia

Why would anyone be able to see these except the balliff, the judge, and the jury, I wonder?

Friends, HOW MUCH TIME DO WE HAVE?

Michael Kiefer contradicted himself in his own brief article. At top he says it factually that they said they cannot reach a verdict, a few paragraphs down he is supposedly quoting a theoretical question. Doesn't matter either way, Judge sent them back and back they went where they CONTINUED.

In case he reports anything else today, remain calm and check an alternate source.

Michael Kiefer is the one who mysteriously reported that ALV had been to the hospital for anxiety one evening, that Nurmi tried to ask for a mistrial over, in a SEALED proceeding.

Michael Kiefer reported that Patrisha Womack left Mesa having been threatened, BEFORE,
Nurmi alleged the threat came on Sunday ( after she had left )

Michael Kiefer reported that ALV was followed to a restaurant, spied on is what he wanted the reader to infer, when he had already been straightened out by SEVERAL sources that ...no...... the folks who took the pic of ALV with Jennifer and the evening wear lady ,( her name escapes me...the mitigation specialist ), the picture taker was already at the restaurant, already even eating their food they had been served when this trio walked in. Even after he was straightened out , again, about he error in his report that the three were not followed and photographed or harassed as he claimed in his report, he did not do what every ethical journalist would do straight away, print a correction.

Michael Kiefer is against the death penalty.
Michael Kiefer does not like, or show any respect to Juan Martinez.
Who , this side of heaven does not respect JM?

Michael Kiefer would NOT have had access to the actual juror question and certainly not to the juror number of the person who asked it, likely until after the trial when all juror questions are put on the record. That is according to our own AZ Attorney.
If he had the least bit of discretion he would have summarized it, and left off the juror number, at a minimum.

Michael Kiefer did not report on the incident of ALV approaching Samantha. Indeed he was rude to our own KCL who tried to inform him of it. It was news. Big news, and ALV found out with in a sealed hearing just how big of news it was when JM let the judge know of it. One has to ask why he would not report that. People tell on themselves.

Micahel Kiefer has been overtly rude and cruel to Katie, KNOWING that she is a victim of a brutal murderer killing her sister and that she is there out the goodness of her heart trying to help a family in a like situation. I find that despicable. He is not to be trusted and he is no gentleman. Moreover, in respect to your question he is no ethical reporter.

This is my opinion only, but it is these things leave me to infer
Michael Kiefer certainly does have a friend on the defense team that feeds him information and in exchange for these scoops, he reports in a wholly biased way.
This is my firm belief. I don't want anyone up in arms, and Katie does not about this, she has been CLEAR ON THAT ...we don't want any letter writing or anything. I am just telling you the source is a poisonous tree, in my opinion.
In this situation he may have released something not realizing it was not to the advantage of his buddies. Isn't that always how it works....eventually?

The important thing to concentrate on is the jury is still at it, they have NOT given up. Who cares about Michael Kiefer and what he reports. THE FACT IS THE JURY IS WORKING, THEY DID NOT GIVE UP, THAT IS ALL THAT MATTERS TO ME.
Remain calm friends. The jury has been with the Alexanders from the start and they are not going to let them down now. KNOW THAT! Consider this not a stumbling block, but a stepping stone for Travis' justice.

All is well. We all know how you meant it. We have had conversations and I know your heart is in the right place. KCL is just very stressed because of all she has been through and helping the family. I think we have all added to her stress with our posts. I will be praying for her, for the family, for all of us who have taken the last five months of our lives to care so deeply. We are all in this together.

KCL, if u just come back to read, there are so many many of us that totally appreciate you. Your heart is so big. Your compassion is without measure. I sit in my den watching this debacle and reading the posts everyday. My gut gets into knots for the family. The demon seed holds so many hostage. I agree that you cannot spread yourself so thin as to endanger your own health both physical and mental. Do what you feel your heart telling you to. We will pool all our prayers and hopes for justice and for the Alexanders. Just know that you are one special person that has touched not only the people you are in physical contact with, but so many in this cyber world. We want the best for you. When this is over, get back to life but do it in a relaxed way. It will all settle down again. Your life experiences are unique (as are all of ours), you were able to share with the family as many of us would not be able to. You were put there for a reason. I agree. First of all, how did this Michael guy get the question (as KCL also questioned)? Also, I don't think the jury questions should be read in open court...I don't know...it just seems to me like this would make the jury less likely to ask questions. I think it should just be like a question goes to the judge, then the judge responds back in writing. That way it wouldn't seem like a big deal to the jury, and they would be willing to ask questions to clarify some part of the law they don't understand.

I am not trying to be negative about this, but my quandry is: if the judge read the message from the jurors wrong, why didn't the foreman correct her at that time? That makes no sense to me. I hope it is being reported wrong, and I guess we will find out today. jmo

Exactly. All you have to do is see WHO BENEFITS from giving him this jury question. For sure Juan doesn't. JSS doesn't. The bailiffs don't, in fact it could actually hurt them if JSS gets mad at them about it, since there are only a few ppl who would have access to those questions. THE DEFENSE DOES. They benefit b/c Jodi is trying to get media attention to the case, and they need a "media partner" who is on their side. Also Nurmi seems like the slithery type who would try to manipulate the media for his case.

My thoughts exactly. Who has used smoke and mirrors all throughout this trial? Who benefits from the illusion of a deadlocked jury? Who benefits from a tainted jury pool? You do the math.

I wouldn't have thought the judge made a mistake reading the question, however, she DID forget one of the outcomes in the juror instructions. Hopefully, she misread again and forgot the "IF". :scared:

Thanks for the love to those who are extending it. We've been on a long road together. It's almost over. I for one have a full life begging me to get back in to it, starting with a real life dinner date tomorrow night. Not quite sure how I'm gonna manage court tomorrow with how my work schedule is planted smack dab in the middle of the day but will head over in the am to help my friend Joi set up a big sandwich delivery for the Alexanders to have in the victim room tomorrow as they waited there ALL day today with crappy cafeteria food. And to whomever sent me the VISA gift cards awhile back (I'm sorry I've lost track of who it was right now, I've been saving that card) that's what I'm using it for. I had it saved, forgot, then this little project arose and my memory bank pulled it back up. Ahhhhhh...ok now really signing off cuz I haven't even seen the full Dr. Drew Show yet. And Ryan Owens I hear is gonna be on Nightline tonite...gotta go forage for that!

Gauntlet, I love having you here and reading what you have to say I knew what you were meaning and so does everyone else.

Like others have said, it's all good. I think KCL is really stressed and is dealing with a lot.

Today is a new day and hopefully verdict day

The way I see it is that they got the answer they needed, so no need to correct how she interpreted it.

But, who knows. I'm always wrong, it seems like lol.
