IOW, a reliable source for this story does not exist? It's difficult to find something that just isn't there. I have wasted entirely too much time searching, reading, posting, etc. about this story's origin. It appears this story attributed to LHP has no factual basis.

We've all seen it and read it numerous times. Gramcracker is right. Pretty sure it was some magazine/newspaper interview. If you stop expecting others provide it to you, and actually look, you'll find it. I'll guarantee you if you look hard enough, the link is somewhere on this forum!
