Is it just me, or does it look as though special needs were in play here? Given her biological mother's reported problems with drugs etc that might not be unexpected. If so, maybe the three kids came as a package and she was less wanted than the others.

I understand the difficulty with cases like this but it is so frustrating not to see arrest(s). while they may not be able to ascertain COD with skeletal remains, a child was disappeared and it burns to think those responsible are just walking around living their lives.

Thinking about this girl today. ♡
I think about her often. The last thing I saw from the Rose Hill PD on FB was this:

***MESSAGE FROM THE CHIEF***
**CASE UPDATE: KENNEDY SCHROER**
All,
Thank you for your continued attention to this case. It has been a while since I have given you all any direction in this matter. While a charging decision has not yet been made, I wanted to reach out and give what I can.
As I have said before we have numerous agencies working on this case across City, County, State, and Federal. This case covers a geographical area outside of the City of Rose Hill, and State of Kansas. And as new threads emerge if another jurisdiction is involved, they are looped into the case as and where needed. While I freely acknowledge this process is taking longer than anyone would like, I would ask you to remember one main thing. After four years there is limited physical evidence to be found. We are gathering data points from points in time exceeding these last four years, and as they come in, they create the mosaic of the case. Once that mosaic is complete, then we will have enough information to forward charges in this case. Thank you for your understanding and patience, we know you are as interested in the truth as anyone.

I have to wonder why and how another jurisdiction (out of state at that) is involved.

Was someone else living at the house when the child died and is a suspect?

I wonder about that. And I wonder if the adoptive parents are protecting another family member.

still no updates :( I am anxious for arrests. The fact this couple buried their adorable adopted daughter in the backyard that her siblings, including at least one biological, played in is diabolical and horrible.
