Using whitepages dot com, I can find a more exact address although it seems to be a house rather than an apartment...so I did not use it.
 
I would say that the most important thing to find out first is who was at his door that interrupted his phone call with his girlfriend. Are any people known to him also missing, or out of town? Does FedEx or UPS have a record of a delivery that day, or is there some other way to rule that visitor in or out as a major clue?
 
I've been through Lexington, can anyone tell me what part of the city his apartment was located? Was there any survilance at the apartment complex? Any stores nearby that may have recorded him going by?

his place is right before you get downtown, right before Richmond road changes into main street...near henry clay estate...looking at the map, there is a bank on the corner of hanover and richmond road, although i had thought it closed down, but that is a good point, (hoping LE is looking at that)

funny, i know at least 5 different people that live on that block and work with me and nobody can think of anything strange going on that night...it seems that he left willing with whoever knocked on that door...
 
so there was a knock at the door and then he disappeared - that says to me that he was expecting someone and went willingly in their car (Christmas shopping perhaps or work related?) and then something went horribly wrong - a friend or co-worker knows something about this IMO

I wonder if any of the neighbours have surveillance cameras ... that could be enormously helpful

i agree this person is the most important clue we have...what i can say about this is that, talking with other friends of his and following the news, no other Lexington male has gone missing during this time....also, fed-ex and ups, do they deliver after 7 pm? (i really dont think it was a delivery, though)

It seems LE thinks that after 8:40 pm, (time of the visitor) when the call ended, was the last known contact with him. im sure they backed this up with phone records, so the visitor is the last person to be with him...his truck and bike are still at the house, so they either walked away or got into another vehicle...mentioned elsewhere on this thread, there is a bank at the end of the block, (i thought closed down but i could be wrong) which, you'd think has cameras, so i hoping LE looked into this, since they have a time frame, but no news on that....

this is all so crazy....everyone in town wants to help but we dont know what to do!!

whats funny, (or extremely frustrating) is he was literally friendly with everyone. since this has happened, almost everyone ive talked to in my "circle" of friends and co-workers knew him. maybe not by name, but once they looked through pictures, they remembered him....talked to him at the park, had a conversation at the bar....Now thats not to say they knew were he lived, hell, ive known him for 4 or 5 years and ive never been to his house, though hes been to mine, (worked with my boyfriend back in the day)...i feel like he has been kind of private when it came to his house, he didnt seem like a guy who had big parties and just let anyone come over, so yes, i feel that this was someone who knew him well enough for him to leave with and not think anything about it....

Just thinking here but is he known to use Craigslist to buy or sell items? Could he have been purchasing or selling to a stranger? Craigslist related robberies (and worse) aren't unheard of. It's something to check out IMO.

oh good point!! it being around christmas, you never know...(see, this is why i love WS!!:loveyou:) Though, i dont think id have someone come to my house, but there is that trusting quality about him....

something that has been in my head....it being so close to christmas, i could understand some ploy like, "hey, christmas party thrown together at so and so's house...come on, lets stop by.." as a means to get him to run out real quick...IDK...he is so sweet and caring, i could see him, (after hearing of said "party") thinking, 'well i could stop in for just a minute'....just thinkin out loud....

Oh yay! I feel so helpful!! Lol. Could be someone stopping by asking for help for an injured (nonexistent) dog or car trouble. Though I'm not sure what the motive would be. Sometimes the most kind and trusting are the most vulnerable.

Hoping he is safe somewhere. He reminds me so much of my husband and his friends (the kind eyes and beard!) it's hard not to feel a connection.

Thats another good point!! I could see him going out in the night to help find a dog, (very like him!) or help jump a car, change a tire....sigh...

I wish we knew the last ping, at least then we could search for something, anything. All ready ive heard people wanting to do this, but there is nowhere to start....so sad....
 
I just saw a rather intriguing comment on one of the news articles about Alex missing. It says "Does he, or anyone he knows drive a red truck?" The comment was left by someone who also lives in Lexington, Ky. ( I checked her FB page to see where she was from).

That's along the lines of what I was thinking...possibly somebody knocking on his door with the pretense of having car trouble, an accident, injured animal, only to lure him outside. Doesn't matter how nice we are and how good of a person we are, there will always be somebody out there who doesn't like us. I'm the most kind hearted person you'll ever meet, love people, nobody is a stranger but I know there are jealous people out there who hate my guts just because I am the way I am. Look at how many people we've read about and discussed here on WS that were good, kind people and somebody hated them enough to harm them.

Praying Alex is alive and ok.

I saw that too...and the comment from Alex's missing FB administrator. Not sure what the red truck has to do with him unless someone spotted him in a red truck after he went missing.
 
I was also looking through Lexington Craigslist listings before he disappeared. I found a couple with the name Alex as contact. I wonder if he had his truck for sale or if anyone knows what kind of truck he has? One of the listings is for a truck being sold. Possibly someone came to the door in response to an ad and was really there for something else. But then you would think there would be signs of theft of some sort.

Edited to clarify my 1st sentence above. Today I looked for listings posted before Alex's disappearance on Lex Craigslist with Alex as contact name.

True...but what kind of truck is for sale? People have been killed over vehicles before.
